I have a rocket3GT took it for annual inspection it said keyfob battery low I changed the battery then it said out of range the keys were on the seat ?? Turned the bike off then it wouldn't tufn the bike on looked at contacts inside fob gave negative terminals a scratch that fixed the problem Check negative terminals first 👍👍
Can you please show a video about. 1.Start the Scrambler 1200 using spared key. 2. Remove the battery from your key fob and use this fob to start the bike by using the same method of starting the Scrambler 1200 with spareed key
there is a rubber seal at the battery found out mine is messed up and that screw is missing so anyone know what kind of screw and were to get a new seal?
Im with @petermatthews7745 - allen key is 1.5mm. Thanks for this video. 2nd battery change in 2 years. Not sure if this applies to this fob, but some fobs lose code after about 45 secs of battery being removed and its probably £50 at main dealer to fix. So dont have a pot of tea & toasted tea cake between removal and refit. 😂
Well that’s not good! Let’s do a quick troubleshoot. When you press the button on the remote do you see a red light come on? (Yes) - Try placing the key fob on the seat and see if it changes anything. If it doesn’t start with the key fob on the seat than see dealer. (No) - Check and make sure the battery is installed correctly. If (Yes) then the battery is either bad or the lift springs are pushed down and not getting a connection. Lightly bend up with a small screwdriver. That’s all I got.

T6 Torx screwdriver works really well, I think that's what it is, slightly different from Allen hex key, but that will also work.

Yeah those connections can get loose where the battery connects inside the fob.

The 2024 model DEFINITELY takes a 1/16th Allen key despite the manual saying 1.5 mm. The 1.5 mm was way too sloppy.

The real question here is what kind of Triumph do you ride? 2018 Tiger 1200 here. And a 2010 Thunderbird 1600 but no FOB on that one.
