I can see some creative uses for the steam tool, but I agree, I would never use it in an actual production. Usually, any stray wrinkles or lack thereof are added in ZBrush.
BUt how is the effect when you dont use shrinkage, doesnt that fix it properly then?

...This is such a stupid question because I feel so stupid for it. I've been ALL over looking at how I get it back but I must have hit a button that minimizes the window for the steam thing and just can't find it anywhere. How do I get that window back? I've looked all the ways I could think of. I'm so sorry to bother you.

I had to close and re-open, so I'm not sure if it's a bug or what. I never did find out, hope you have better luck.
Would also love to know this (besides the close and reopen). It is hurting my brain to think they would have a minimise without a way to undo it. Ugh. Hoping it is just me not seeing something obvious. >.

Yes Peter, that's right. The 2D pattern doesn't change.
may i ask, is this 3D software really can made a 2D PATTERN, i am a retired Pattern maker .but it just made me wonder.....
I'd love this software- but unclear on what license need to redistribute meshes created?
I don't think you need any other license than the regular one you buy from Marvelous Designer. People create meshes in any 3D software and sell them on marketplaces, give them for free etc. Many of our clients create clothing for sale on Renderosity, DAZ3D, 3D marketplaces etc.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble making sleeves!
There could be various reasons why the sleeves aren't coming out as you want, including the shape of your pattern(s), the way you're sewing your patterns together, the fabric physical properties applied to your patterns, any internal lines or folding angles applied etc.

Hi,
The avatars I use are the default ones that come with Marvelous Designer. You can change the display mode to see them either as a mesh, as a flat color, or with a texture.

Version 6 is fantastic. People should be aware that Version 7 on some computers at least is a disaster. Anything you try to do in the 2D window causes the program to crash.
Yeah MD7 has a few bugs. I haven't encountered those crashing bugs you described but sometimes different useres get different bugs. You should report it to the MD developers and support - it's probably something they can fix.
