How can you not love Kimi?
This is the ONLY time this kind of comment is legit for me. So often I read ppl saying "you just can't hate" this or that driver, and i def easily can tbh. KIMI though... ahhh kimi forever

@@conorfarrell3279 Well Antonio drove for Kimi's junior team "Double R Racing" during the feeder series. So Kimi was already his mentor way before Antonio entered F1. They've known each other for way longer than they've been teammates.

The "money or free time"-question shows their age difference quite neatly. Kimi, being the senior on the grid and a family man, goes for free time without missing a heart beat, while Gio is still tempted by the profits.

Man, Kimi is so much better than Alonso.
Kimi hated the new Pirelli tyres after Silverstone 2013 and also the 2014-2018 Ferrari handling, (especially '14). This prevented him from going full speed. In 2016 and 2018 he easily beats Vettel had Seb not crashed into Kimi twice in 2016 and if Kimi had not suffered 4 DNFS in 2018. Simple.

Kimi HATED the handling of the cars from Silverstone 2013 onwards. That is just a fact. The Pirelli tyre camber and pressure limits imposed after Silverstone 2013 destroyed his driving style. Then in 2014 we lost a TON of front downforce, thus worsening the issue: Kimi couldn't generate front tyre temps and thus suffered from MASSIVE understeer - no driver hates turn-in understeer more than Kimi, it's the opposite of his driving style which is to get the nose to the apex immediately. Notice how every year we added downforce his performance got better and better, because he could heat his front tyres better. In 2016 he outqualified Vettel despite this handicap, and would have beaten Vettel in the standings had Seb not crashed into him TWICE. Then in 2018 Kimi had 4 DNFS NONE OF WHICH WERE HIS FAULT - without which he beats Vettel again. You can argue about his adapting ability to understeer, but Kimi's raw speed and ability are far above Vettel and also above Alonso once the car is THERE for him. He is the ultimate driver in my view, you just need to give him the setup with a good front end.

There in the link is Michael Schumacher defending Kimi admitting the car development was taken away from Kimi's preferences, and Kimi basically couldn't get those Bridgestone tyres heated up over one lap. Had you watched 2002 you would realize Kimi had 12 DNFS that season LMAO. He outqualified DC the year after DC thrashed Mika and would have EASILY BEATEN HIM had his car not broken down every race. You are seriously bring up his rookie season where he was the most inexperienced driver of all time straight from Formula Renault? Heidfeld got beat down by Montoya in F3000 in equal cars, he was never really on Kimi's level given Kimi was a ROOKIE. On Michelins and generally from 2002-2007, Kimi had no equal. Again that is half a decade and you can argue about his adapting skills to new tyres, but his peak was higher than that of Alonso. He took a 1 year old, 3rd fastest McLaren to the final round of the WDC in 2003.
Kimi beat DC, Massa, Montoya, Grosjean, Wurz, D'Ambrosio, DeLaRosa, Giovinazzi, Fisichella, Badoer, and outqualified Vettel at 37 years old in 2016. Lmao. Guy is a straight up stud and the fastest I have seen in his prime with McLaren. No question.
