Hi Chip. sold my Ruckus and boy did I make a mistake. The reason I sold it was the front suspension almost dumped me when I went into one of the thousands of our NY pot holes. Highest taxes and some of the worst roads in the country. Could have bought after market suspension that I found out about later.Your scooter looks great with the add-ons.Good luck with it..
Thank you for the view and comment yes the rockets is definitely not meant to travel at high speeds I found that out too it has very weak suspension but you have to use it as it was intended good luck as well
Great review, especially showing the accessories, some of which I am going to purchase. I just bought one up here in Canada, and really enjoy the simplistic easy ride.
Thank you for the comment and view I bought them off Amazon I think the windshield was called the spitfire and the hand guards are wind guards were just something cheap off Amazon
Thank you for the view and comment yes I plan on making some after the first of the year been real busy with work but that's one of my goals for next year is to make more videos and do some riding videos thanks again
I'm in a city & I only use Non-Ethanol regular gas. Zero problems. You will be surprised on how much better you will do with acceleration just by changing the spark plug. I have tried the CR8IX, the CR9IX & the E.38 plugs. Plug I prefer is the slightly cooler CR9IX which is the NKG iridium plug. I'm currently cruising at 40mph without issues & top speed at 45mph.
Thank you very much for all the updates and ideas and things you've given me about the Honda Ruckus the problem with the ethanol gas in my area is very few gas stations carry it so I will just run the 97 for now and if I have issues I will try to obtain some non-ethanol but that's getting harder and harder to do in my area thank you
@@chip-arkansashillbilly2900 I started adding an Octane Booster. Guy in Kentucky gave me that tip. I use Royal Purple while he uses STP. Reason is not speed but better going up hills. Figured you would maybe try it. I also am now running an average of 4.75gram sliders. Cruising speed is now 43/44 with a top speed of 46/47.
Hello.. I'm a fellow Arkansan that just bought a Ruckus, and I love it too! Where did you get your windshield and rear rack? I'm wanting to put those on mine as well. I ride mine from Greenbrier to Conway everyday for work. We'll see how it goes in the winter.
I started out looking at ebikes also and a scooter made a lot more sense. No comparison. I ended up buying a used 2015 Honda PCX with 790 miles on it. I'm in the city, so I do need a bit more speed.
I use premium fuel with all my mowers and lawn equipment. Just bought a2023 new from dealer. Still has dealer fuel in it. I will use premium gas only on this as well
Thank you for the view and comment yes I wish Honda had made a OEM bag or something that you could fit under there but people have figured out with bags and made them for it so yes it's a nice storage option
My 2013 used Ruckus is the best money I've ever spent.. Bloody little thing hauls my fat a$$ .. #290 ..up to 40mph.. Fabulous gas mileage. And absolutely a hoot to ride.
