Stihl weed wacker gas cap repair

In this video, I repair my weed wacker gas cap. I took it out for the season, tried to take of the cap, and it just broke. The replacement cap was under $6.00 and it took me 5min to repair it.

I got it from my local Stihl dealer, but they are all over Amazon.

I just spent a half hour trying to get my Stihl gas cap back on 😤
In my driveway in blowing snow…
I sincerely hope that the designer of that cap burns in hell for eternity.
There’s some trick besides aligning the marks… I think the inner parts have to be rotated in some proper rotation.

@@wiggelyworm2877 Here’s what I did that helped… took a Sharpee marker and put a heavy black line on the cap from the center to the edge… that lets me note the orientated the position where the cap is in the ‘released’ position and in the final ‘sealed’ position… that did the trick for me!
