How exciting - and emotional! My kiddos are 13 and 15 - I can't bear the thought of them leaving... but of course, that's how life goes! I remember shopping like this 17 years ago with my mama, when my husband and I moved into our new house. Such fun! A fresh start! I often add new things here and there, just to keep my surroundings interesting, and now we are renovating our basement, so I will get to buy a couch, floors, paint and all that good stuff again. I know my two daughter-in-laws appreciate the fact that my sons learned how to do so much in & around a house from their father. And in our case, they also learned how to build a car motor......(I married a 'car guy').😛 All that hands-on knowledge comes in handy in life.🙏🏻🥰
This brought back happy memories,My mom helped us move into this home 23 years ago. I was working full time . I can home the day after moving and the whole house was unpacked and put away. She passed away 5 years ago and I miss her so much ,She was my rock !

Boy Arika you had your hands full with all that rain. Madysen’s apartment is really nice. It will be so pretty when she gets it all in order and decorated. She really found a lot of beautiful stuff. Some girl will be lucky with Jaxon. He is going to be one of those guys that can do or fix anything. My son bought a house across the street from me and he bought two sets off Facebook Market Place before he finally lucked up on a set that both really worked. The first set was the dryer, the second set was the washer. But still a hundred bucks for a dryer isn’t bad. Hope she finds a washer that works. I really enjoyed this vlog so, so much. Sounds just like our situation! Madisyn did find another washer for $100 also so now she has a nice set for way less than new! Jaxon sure did like working with tools! He was a huge help!🥰

Your family is the best. I love how you all jump right in and help each other. So wonderful that Jaxson at 13 can put together furniture and hang up things. Wow. We too have been getting crazy rain storms here on Long Island,NY. Looking forward to seeing the apartment finished. So far I love how everything looks.

Oh I’m in love with Madisyn and her friends apartment. It will be absolutely beautiful when it gets decorated. Love her decor.
