I have used rs 18000 laptop which I purchased in 2011 it still works with windows 10 it could do all the normal task that you would expect from a normal laptop to do. However with time many things changes like video codecs at that time h264 was standard now a days even phones support hevc or h265 codecs things have changed a lot .It is usable and better than an android phone but it is not as powerful as a high end pc
Google is more of an Advertisement than a Tech Company if not they would have developed their own OS instead of repackaging Linux and selling it as Android and ChromeOS.

Rather than putting laptop in the title, you guys should have used Chromebook. Because Chromebooks are in no way called as regular laptops. Indian Tech TH-cam channels are mostly following the trends rather than going for original contents. I hardly find big content creators making videos on Linux on a regular basis.
Content creators are all about trending 📈 topic thats how they reach more people but where as video's on linux won't be interested to many people so that's why these people won't focus much on it.

Maybe try finding a second-hand or refurbished iPad? You can find iPad Mini 5 or iPad 8th/9th Generation for 16-20k and they will give you much better performance than a budget Chromebook or Android tablet.
Im still using my 9 years old Acer Chromebook C720 . Upgrade to Chromebook OS Flex, 16gb m.2 to 512gb. This is my perfect laptop ever.
