A lot of reviewers stated that it took 15 hrs to really get going. While ive enjoyed every second, it truly took me 15 hrs of main questing and just figuring out all the systems and it finally hit me, sweet Jesus it’s a hell if a game. Will be playing on the Ally eventually but enjoying on a bigger screen right now.
Iv been smashing it on the Rog ally, I have it docked up and connected to my projector and it’s good fun, have just started using mods on the game pass version and definitely have increased the enjoyment of the game I average between 30-40 fps on 30W with some settings set to medium on 720p sometimes I get pretty high fps in certain areas. Not bad for a hand held device
For a person who plays the rog mostly only near a power socket.. at 30 wats! The games runs surprisingly wel! And even if on 25 it works really well! Amazing
I just stream it on the Ally through gamepass much nicer graphics and a much more smoother experience. Ok its not pushing the ally but im sick of having to stop gameplay to mess about with settings every so often, just totally ruins the enjoyment and experience.
I was like that too streaming it on the ally but I wanted to play with mods but was also worried about the performance. But I don’t regret playing the downloaded version. You really notice how smooth some areas are with the higher frame rates. And you don’t get the resolution compression on the downloaded one. Mind you tho I am playing it on a big projector so maybe that’s why I feel like the stream version is not as sharp
Anytime vsync is off in a game and tgeres no vrr, freesync or gsync there will be tearing amd all my test are done no vsync. When i play on the ally no tearing
I am thinking of upgrading my steamdecks to either this or a legion go but hate chinese companies so don't think i will go for the GO. I don't trust them. So i have the money sat here but am thinking is it worth it when i have 2 steamdecks one the brand new revision. Hmmmm I can't decide. I also have my gaming PC for high end gaming see. It plays starfield awesome on my 165 hertz 1440p gaming monitor. Or my 4k 120 hertz TV. I just love my tech.
There's a bug if you change your settings in game fsr 2.0 will not implement itself You're testing might be wrong I watched my buddy play this at 40 mostly 😊
I am aware and made sure it was not an issue. Appreciate the comment it can definitely be an announcement problem. Hard to test these at launch or earlt access as well. Will definitely be doing follow up videos as we get updates. Something else I have observed are discrepancies and differences from Ally to Ally. There is silicon lottery but shouldnt be as much as we have seen here and there. I am looking forward to getting another AMD z1 here like the Legion Go to compare performance of same APU’s.

We are early access and lots of things could affect performance and cause inconsistency right now. Looking forward to comparing after some patches. Never hesitate to comment or voice a concern 👍
Send it, my forza 5 does the same yet I click okay and get 70-100 fps on high/ultra mix settings at 720p with RSR on. My guess is because we have an APU the game pops the error for no GPU since we’re using integrated and not dedicated graphics
i cant get it to run, but i understand why it wont run, i updated everything, got the optional updates ( rog ally ) ,, i know i can get the driver that makes the game work, but it seems to cause a frame loss , in every other game i play. and i keep reading posts of people asking how to roll back the driver for the same reason. i look forward to a better driver, that offers support for this game, but doesnt cause a loss in performance across the board in pretty much any other game you may want to play.
Awful performance. Dropping below 30fps in areas even at 720p and only at 8% resolution of 720 and everything on low. Yikes. The ally and the steam deck just arnt built for the latest AAA games like this. I have both

I've been running this on the rog ally with medium settings,fsr 2 on 1080p and been pretty consistant at 30fps.

Extreme. Have not bothered with the regular version. Cpu wise its fine but it will suffer in gpu heavier games for sure.
The Series S aims for 900p upscaled to 1440p. The rog ally should hopefully be viable for the entire console lifecycle

Have you tried raising the Vram ? Try 7gb
What overlay is this please? And how you keep your temps so cool ?

I run higher frames at 900p.
Getting a error code that my specifications aren’t the minimal for this game. Any ideas ?

Unfortunately the Ally has been plagued with driver, bios and performance issues since launch. Hopefully they can get it all straightened out soon
