@@Imm_o I know there is multiple versions of this but the one I remember is that Batman didn't want Grayson to go on missions with the Titans and that was the reason he quit being a robin and came up with Night Wing. In some instances, Batman needs Robin to keep him grounded which is how Tim became Robin. I know some stories have it that Robin was actually the name Dick Mother use to call him which is why he came up with this hero name! Dick Greyson has been Groomed to be Batman from the beginning, and it was Alfred that encouraged Dick Greyson to be his own man, not Bruce! The problem is that there are so many versions of this shit it gets confusing, who knows which one is more canon which one comes from Elseworld comics or Batman the animated series
"Did The Lego Batman Movie suddenly become canon within the "serious" DC movies?" someone hasn't read the comics. or seen the arkham games, or in general seen how joker acts near batman at all in anything
Telltale's 'Arkham' series of video games aren't canon. (A pity.) Also, just as the Frank Miller era gave us Frank Miller's paranoid-psychopathic Batman, I feel the DC comics and animated shows since the 2000s have reveled in turning the Joker into a complete and utter sadistic monster (including increasingly non-human facial features) to be "edgy". And on the other end of the alignment axis we have the Lego Batman movie's chaotic-neutral "I'm gay for Batman" Joker who isn't really insane so much as an anarchist, and Telltale Games's proto-Joker John "For the love of god, someone get this poor man a competent shrink!" Doe who is trying so hard to be a hero but is a ticking time bomb because of genuine psychological problems and anger management problems... for absolutely legit reasons. A breath of fresh air, if you ask me. Amanda Waller is the villain of those games, the Handsome Jack type of zealot who deludes herself into thinking she is righteous and anyone in her way must be destroyed; unfortunately the game lets her get off scotfree in the end.
The scene of Nightwing giving Batman advice on relationships working long-term may be sinful in the comics, but in the DCAMU he has a stable, long-term relationship with Starfire with none of the usual forced soap-opera drama, so it isn’t a sin for the movie.
PD Comic Book Network The riddler was the original hush, but he gave up the persona after being throughly beaten by Batman. Thomas Elliot becomes Hush soon after.
@@PDComicBookNetwork All the film did was change it from being Thomas under the mask. The final reveal and true Mastermind is still the Riddler in the comics.
Well, given that the continuity for the nu-DCAU is different (see his comment about Lex on the Justice League for a good example), it's not that bad of a thing to try and not go paint by numbers with it. Plus Elliot really sucked after Hush so it's best to not draw attention to him :P
In the comic Riddler was plotting with Thomas Elliot and when he died at the theatre it was just clayface from what I remember, riddler managed to find out who is batman but batman warns him if he tells anyone he will tell the league of assassins that he used the Lazarus pit

He saw himself in Dick and saw that if he didn't mentor him, he'd end up with another Batman, and one Batman is enough for him
He groomed Dick into becoming his own hero, into becoming Nightwing
Edit: Essentially, Dick isn't a discount of any hero, he is his own hero
@@Imm_o I know there is multiple versions of this but the one I remember is that Batman didn't want Grayson to go on missions with the Titans and that was the reason he quit being a robin and came up with Night Wing. In some instances, Batman needs Robin to keep him grounded which is how Tim became Robin. I know some stories have it that Robin was actually the name Dick Mother use to call him which is why he came up with this hero name! Dick Greyson has been Groomed to be Batman from the beginning, and it was Alfred that encouraged Dick Greyson to be his own man, not Bruce!

"Did The Lego Batman Movie suddenly become canon within the "serious" DC movies?"
someone hasn't read the comics. or seen the arkham games, or in general seen how joker acts near batman at all in anything
It depends on the writer. There are plenty of stories, such as Knightfall, where Joker wants Batman dead along with everyone else.
Telltale's 'Arkham' series of video games aren't canon. (A pity.)
Also, just as the Frank Miller era gave us Frank Miller's paranoid-psychopathic Batman, I feel the DC comics and animated shows since the 2000s have reveled in turning the Joker into a complete and utter sadistic monster (including increasingly non-human facial features) to be "edgy".
Like a lot of people he probably has heath ledgers joker in mind witch as great as he was that joker was very different from comics joker
Okay, okay, explain to me how Nightwing is a “second rate Robin”? He’s like OG Robin, Robin Phase 1, Robin.1...you get it.
Yes, best Robin as well :)

The scene of Nightwing giving Batman advice on relationships working long-term may be sinful in the comics, but in the DCAMU he has a stable, long-term relationship with Starfire with none of the usual forced soap-opera drama, so it isn’t a sin for the movie.
It’s the riddler : 3000 sins
Removed. YOu left "removed" off the end of your sentence.
Ya if I can remember correctly Thomas Elliot was hush
Oh, yeah. Sorry, misunderstood the comment. Definitely high sins for changing Hush's identity. I thought he was sinning the Riddler himself.

@Miles Goodison-Fearon Without it it's literally a repeat of the book, with no surprises.
