Story Summary :-
When Emma (OP) met Jake's family for the first time, they loved her and her MIL treated her well. Slowly, Emma got close to Jack's family and they formed a very strong bond. She would attend their family functions and she got really close to Tom, her brother-in-law. During her wedding preparations, Emma carried Tom and his girlfriend along with her wedding plans, but on her wedding day, she got a shocking surprise.
Tom, her BIL proposed to his girlfriend at OP's wedding reception and stole the spotlight from OP. The worst was that Tom didn't discuss anything with Emma (OP) or his brother. After the wedding, OP confronted Tom about his actions, only to discover that his MIL and FIL were part of the plan and they didn't think it was a big deal for Tom to Propose to his girlfriend at OP's wedding.
In anger, OP plans a revenge, luckily for her, she finds out she is pregnant just around the same time Tom announces his wedding date. To give them a taste of their own medicine, OP plans a gender reveal and she executes her plan on their wedding day.
During their wedding reception, after Tom and his wife have their first dance, OP pretends to make a toast but uses the opportunity to tell everyone that she is pregnant, and then steals the spotlight from the couple. This announcement makes Tom and OP's mother-in-law so livid that they kick OP out of the venue. In the end, OP cuts ties with her MIL and moves on with her life.

I wish he had one more update which was the birth of the baby I would have loved to know if the MIL tried to go and see the baby but was forced out and reminded of what she said at Tom's wedding reception. just to see her face when her own words came back to haunt her and knowing she will regret it forever.

How is it okay for the BIL and MIL to do what they did continue to treat her like trash but when OP dishes some back, suddenly she’s the bad guy?
The problem is, Maria did nothing wrong, and she was just as blindsided by this.

During OPs wedding she could have accepted, but then after the initial congratulations done something like a short speech, reminding everybody that it was OP's special day first, and encouraged everybody to concentrate on that. Maybe it would have worked, maybe not, but at least she could have tried.

OP just did what Tom did at her wedding, she made an announcement at his. Why would he be mad for her doing exactly what he did? It was perfect revenge.

To me, revenge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. I get it, I would have been upset about the proposal at my wedding as well. But, I feel spending months seeking revenge just keeps me filled with anger. I refuse to give anyone my peace, light, and serenity. The best thing is to cut the cancer out and live your best life.
