To properly test a fire curtain, it has to be released from the pull stations (or emergency release stations) Not manually lowered. You have to check the drop times and make sure the dash pot is functioning correctly under load.

I would love to see how the light trellises are lowered to fix the stage lights. And I know there are some stage lights that are mostly housed above the first row seats. I would love to see the repair work on those as well.

I'm surprised that activating the fire curtain doesn't set off the fire alarm...

Sir I presume you are in the USA, me being in the Uk, is it a legal requirement, in either location that the fire curtain is lowered at some point during a performance? In the UK usually the interval/intermission.

Hi Ross! Your break-glass-in-case-of-fire box looks to be identical to one we used to have prior to replacing our fire curtain. Does yours have a solenoid inside of it that will break the glass in the event of a signal from the fire alarm control panel? Ours had the solenoid but it was never hooked up. It always seemed a little dangerous to add broken glass to a fire evacuation situation. Our new system uses a JR Clancy SureGuard II release mechanism that's tied into the heat detectors over the stage in addition to the manual releases and fusible links.
