No office politics in WFH. That's why i am still in WFH, Those useless middle managers who's 90% work can replaced by Jira automation are crying now for Back to office. The next thing we need is replacing non productive HR with AI chatbot, Anyway HRs are not helping employees so atleast if we replace them with chatbot engineers don't need to suffer their new experiments in company that will eventually affect both company and employees
May be you do have a point though you generalize your experience. Only your company and people working with you would know what impact you are making for them... good or bad. Hopefully good. Because I know of people who everyone in their team thinks is better off wfh as they are such jerks when they are in office :) So yes. you might be right in your perspective. but there can be other versions floating as well. I know so many people who think that only they add value in the large scheme of things are everyone else is useless. I have in my career see how that changes at times. But it is also true that everyone wants to be the hero of their own story. It is just human. Interestingly I also know of some people who are just not worth having around you in office as they just complain and whining. I usually keep myself away from them, just so I can focus on my work and value creation. But that is not office politics but just an amazing ability for some people to be a jerk. That would be an interesting topic to discuss. About Jerks at work place. Thanks for a good suggestion.
I have not felt uneasy and so I don’t really know.., maybe do an introspection of your uneasiness…. Why is a male manager not making you uneasy… I can understand if all managers make someone uneasy
