Had to laugh....I took a college class "On Death and Dying" one of the papers was to write our own Obit....kind of weird, yet at the same time a guide or wake up call to things we want/do in our lives. It was one of the best classes I've taken to open up my eyes and to process the loss of my entire family. When I die, I'll leave behind my son, he will have No One. This causes me such pain. He also has Aspergers, so despite feeling so uncomfortable about speaking to him about my death, I'm 68 and have 1 kidney which is failing...I've out lived my sister and brother, 35/56....gone Way Too Soon. Being honest and open has brought us much closer, he is 24.

Most people have trouble accepting that nothing happens when we die. Like sleep with no dreams. The world moves on as if we never existed.

    • @naturalisted1714
      @naturalisted1714 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

At death we "no longer exist", or another way of putting it is that the brain no longer causes or does consciousness at death, and so this particular "Self" will no longer be caused by this particular brain. The brain will decompose and blend back in with the Earth and stuff. So death= the absolute end of the one that died. I think you agree with that.
But, as we all know, "Life goes on without you" - Animals & humans will still be alive and conscious after you no longer exist, right? Yes, they will be. So those consciousnesses will be the only experiences that are going on after you die. Therefore one of those consciousnesses are the only possible experience that could be what comes after your death. Because those consciousnesses/experiences will be the only experiences there are (at that point in time).

      @@naturalisted1714 there’s life after death!!!!!
      This can’t be it.
A lot of people died and more and more will die. Most of them unnoticed. Some of them will continue to live forever through what they did.
I think everyone of us should be very concerned about that moment, we take our last breath!!!
Is it really the end? Or another beginning!!!
Should we worry about what comes next or it’s a complete silence and end of existence!!!!
The process of death itself is not easy!!!
I have seen so many people die!!!
      “I am a doctor”
Some go fast easy and peaceful
Others struggle, fight resist and finally leave after leaving those who are watching tortured with their struggle
      Looking for answer.
I always avoid the last moment
      It’s a personal thing!!!!
I knew my patients before they die.... minutes after death, they don’t look the same any more.
I asked a hospice nurse one day, how she sees people die?
      She agreed with my conclusion:
People die the way the lived their lives
In other words how they were towards other people
When I come to pronounce a death, I always wish I would know what’s really going in that room.
It’s Always a very moving moment
No matter how many times I witness it!!!!

If we are lucky we will only be knocked back to the stone age and there we shall resume the nature of our species without all the preoccupation of glit and glam and romance. The thing I am most excited about in this world is my death.
This world is a testing grounds for humanity and the Jinns; Earth is not our home. This universe is not our native abode. Allah (S.W.T.) has made for us our REAL home, Jannah. It is a world without sufficient and one that knows no pain. Life there is eternal. Jannah is a world with infinite source of energy, and mind boggling technologies. Limitless food and luxuries awaits for us in Jannah. It is a place with ever lasting friendship, true love, and romantic intimacy purified.
