Having a live announcement probably gets everyone's attention better while also letting people know there is an employee present and watching the crowd. It's basically a last chance to jump ship if you don't want to sit through the entire show, so it makes sense to have a real person checking that everyone agrees to stay put until it's over.
I can still recall being on the original Carousel of Progress at The General Electric Pavilion at 64 - 65 New York’s World’s Fair. That song has always been with me since back then. Thanks for memories. Trivia, whose voice was used for the main character? Answer: Jean Shepard.
Wow, I haven't seen this since I was a kid in the 80's. Which makes me kinda bummed they skip the 60's and 80's. In 20 more years the final scene will just be a family laying in floating recliners, sucking on milkshakes and not even realizing they're right next to each other... Just like in WALL-E 🤦♂️
@JPL1311 yeah I get that now. I guess the last time I saw it as a kid (in the 80's) the final scene WAS the 80's so it didn't feel like much was missing. And it's too bad they can't include every 20 year jump from 1900 - now. Great video though! As someone who will probably never make it back to the park, thank you!
Beautifully filmed. This song has been stuck in my head today, so thank you for this 😩🫶🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Even though I have never physically been to Disney, I still have so much love for the vintage rides like this one.
These are definitely the classics that scream Walt Disney
Thank you for this great recording!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@ 0:12 - They need to have a pre-recorded message for the disclaimers at the beginning of the ride, so it sounds more professional.
Cast Memmber is also there as a safety precaution
Sounds more fun and spontaneous, I think, and the cast member can have a bit of fun; so long as they don't go to overboard.

Definitely a classic that needs to be preserved!

It's a classic and they always just update the last scene
