    Hi Beth! I made your spinach and onion quiche, and inspired, a second quiche with chicken and artichokes for brunch with my family yesterday. Both were fantastic! My family raved and raved and then ate every single bite! One tiny change I made was to add a bit of nutmeg to the crust of the spinach and onion quiche, and some of the herbs de Provence that I used to roast the chicken with in the crust of the chicken and artichoke quiche. It was a subtle, but really delicious touch that tied everything together beautifully.

      Oh yum! That sounds so good Joy! Love the additions :) And so glad it was a hit with the family! Isn't it the best when you make something and everyone loves it? Ha! Just love that! :) xx

    Lately I've been obsessed with quiche and have been making it a lot. I made this today and can honestly say it was the best quiche I've made! I used kale, shallots, mushrooms, feta, and blue cheese. Also I needed to add four Tbs total of water to the crust mixture and used a deep dish pie pan, sprayed with cooking spray which works fantastic and your pieces come out beautiful if you don't have a fancy quiche pan. As always Beth comes through for me with the easiest, yet best recipes! Love her!!! 😘

    This quiche was awesome! I made mine with onion, spinach and feta. Delicious!!! I used store bought pie crusts in the interest of time and was not disappointed. There was a little left over egg batter. The brand was pilsbury, and I think you can get by with 9 eggs and a little less cream. One additional change I would make for future quiches (and there will most definitely be future quiches) is to use a bit less salt. But that is to your own taste. Great recipie!

    • @EntertainingWithBeth
      @EntertainingWithBeth  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So glad to hear it was a success! YAY! Love the idea of the feta :) And yes I would reduce the salt if feta is used since that's a pretty salty cheese that would definitely make the whole quiche more salty :)

    Wow. I commented three years ago and finally made it today. Soooo pleased I didn't have to blind bake. It's an amazing recipe. I added diced tomato and bacon. We had it for dinner tonight with my sister coming over. The crust stayed level with the pan too! Easy to slice and so easy to eat. Now, I need my chickens to keep laying loads of eggs, as this is an easy summer dish 😊 thanks so much. Didn't need water or all the egg for the crust either. Guess our butter may be a little different.

    Beth, thank you for your recipe. I made it for my Boyfriend this past weekend and he loved it. I used 2 store bought deep dish pie crust for the 10 egg recipe. It worked out well. Today, I am making 2 more with roll out crust. Hoping it comes out just as delicious. Freezing the pie crust before you pour is the key. Thanks again!

    This is an awesome quiche! I made it then lost the recipe. I used to make quiche with blind baking, or doing it with a hot oven then lowering the temperature. This way works beautifully. I am so excited I found it. Fast and easy. One trick I have come up with is to cook extra onions and mushrooms or wash extra spinach when making a dinner, set them aside, then in the next couple of days I use them in the quiche. This cuts the cooking time way down. I hope this helps. I am SO looking forward to eating this.

    Try a crustless quiche. Sautée drained frozen spinach with a chopped white onion in oil and butter. When cooled, add to 5 beaten eggs with a cup of grated muenster cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bake in glass pie pan at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean from the center. Easy and good.

    I just made the quiche, it's in the oven now and looks great; however, my tart dish is a bit wider than I think yours is but is a bit more shallow so it came right up to the rim. I followed your directions to the T and I have to say, I never ever put an egg in a pie crust and it made such a difference, it was so much more moist so I'm really anxious to taste it. We are having it for dinner with a salad but it's not something I can make too often as you said, it has the heavy cream and butter but this is a wonderful treat. Thank you for your great recipes. I have to say that out of all of the people I watch on You Tube with recipes, you explain your recipes step by step and always have full proof recipes that are delicious. You are some cook and baker.

    Amazing! I've been using this recipe frittata style in muffin tins with great success! Just be sure to grease or PAM the tins so they don't stick.....10 3ggs and a cup of cream, salt n pepper, a bit of nutmeg, and anything you want to put in it, is nearly foolproof! Thanks Beth! I love your recipes!

    Great tips. Few things are as satisfying as a fresh, warm slice of quiche right out of the oven. My one go to recipe is Ree Drummond's "Cowboy" quiche. But my mom loves spinach so I'll be taking your tips and making your spinach and gruyere quiche for her soon. Most spinach quiche recipes i've found ask for frozen spinach; that you then need to thaw out and drain. Way too much work for a simple quiche. I prefer cooking the spinach like you did. And I always use frozen pie crust, so simple and quick, and it comes out incredible.

    I made fresh quiche. My own homemade fresh quiche comes out so much better than the store bought brand. It tastes a lot healthier too.

    My daughter loves quiche but the store-bought ones are always expensive. I thought those took a lot of prep time and were hard to cook. You have encouraged me to make it ourselves instead. Thanks!

    Lovely looking quiche! To add, we don't eat dairy here, so no cheese or cream. I use oat milk and maybe broccoli + salmon, or peppers and a nice tasty bacon.
