It would help if you gave us the size of the rectangles and size of the cuts in inches…..

I think it's down to your own discretion when it comes to the brick work pattern.. you can decide what size you want to make each brick... But looking at these I'm guessing 3 X 5 in ...I made one where my bricks were 3 1/2 X 6 in .. worked out quite well
