Great analysis. Love that bit about how you don't really feel the tech in the heat of the battle. Would have love these 50 years ago when I was playing 3 on 3 on asphalt basketball court growing up in HK. One of my buddy play bare foot (he was from a poor family and can't afford to buy him even cheap shoes) and he would roll the ball over the sole of his feet and you can never get the ball off of him. I should pick up a pair and send it to him.
I'm sure your buddy would love these. And yeah you can have all the tech in the world, but it needs to be so good you kind of forget about it when you play!
They're very flexible, I think the only people who might not like them are people with very narrow feet. Overall they're great. Hope you are doing well :)
I hear they're increidbly limited. Some guy in Ireland has them, they're pretty awesome, plant trees as well. OfficialMcfootball on Instagram I think 😂😂
I used Adidas Mundial normally which fit like a glove (I have wide'ish flat feet but prefer the fit of narrower boots like the old victory v mercurial etc) but I find the mundial's a tad on the heavy side so was thinking about these, my only concern is fit - I cannot play properly unless my boots give me that really tight (like you're wearing a half size too small kinda feel) boots and I feel these might be a little loose around the mid to upper area. your thoughts (or possibly other boots) would be most welcome, thanks.
Great video! I have the react gato 2. If you play futsal I highly recommend you give them a go. Also if you do get them or already have them I think a comparison video would be a cool idea.
..just to add, I got them and the heel lockdown isn't great, contrary to your video even though they fit really well. One thing though they are comfortable.
Thanks for the excellent review! Nice to get good, well edited and in depth futsal reviews in English as well. Also wishing for Mizuno (new Morelia for example) reviews in your football videos. I know it isn't the marketed purpose, but few reviews have mentioned the touch360 actually improves traction compared to other Nike models. And since the traction isn't that good in Lunar Gato and other Nikes compared to Munich, Joma or Mizuno indoors for example I'd like to hear your opinion. Does this have better traction than other Nike models? I don't really care about that touch gimmick but added traction would be extremely nice. The looks are of course always personal opinion, but our futsal team talked about these when they released and 90% thought they are really ugly. Even the younger (~20 years) players. I think they look like it was designed by a 9-year-old. It's common that the first release is vibrant, but I really hope next React Gato is black & white or something else less flashy. The price is ridiculously high, you're totally correct to say it's worth it if you think so, but I think that the conclusion should still have price as an added con along with the small lack of responsiveness. But you mentioned anyway earlier in the video so it's okay, but top Joma, Mizuno and other Nike boots are clearly cheaper. I personally hope these don't sell well before a price drop so the prices won't raise. Edit: I should maybe empathize that the traction in other Nike models is perfectly adequate for some players and super grip might even be annoying for someone who isn't used to it. But I've personally been disappointed since many brands have better soles.
Hey, thank you for your in depth reply, I appreciate the information and feedback, I'll work through it bit by bit and reply. For the reviews upcoming, you mention the Morelia II I don't actually review leather boots for the channel! So that one won't be on, but I can recommend heading to the gaijin boot blog, he has an excellent review on the Morelia II. There will be some Mizuno on the channel, I have some Monarcida Neo Pro's upcoming but not the leather I'm afraid which is obviously Mizuno's key area of excellence. I would say that in a direct comparision to the Lunar Gato which I agree does suffer from some traction issues especially on particularly dusty courts this is an improvement despite it not being the intended outcome I think it does provide an improvement, I wouldn't suggest it is up there with some of the other models you mention just yet, but it is an improvement over the lunar gato. I never try and linger too long on the looks because as you say it is all personal preference, and you're also correct I think the initial release needs to be flashy and then we are more likely to see a black out or black base variant next which I think will look great on these. With regards to the price I see your point, I think the thing here is that I play futsal from time to time it's not my standard go to style of the game and as a result my default setting is that I expect to pay 200-300 euro for a pair of boots, as these clock in at 130 then I don't see it as an expensive boot even if it is the second most expensive futsal boot on the market at the moment as far as I know. So I totally get what you're saying and for example the react VSN from Nike I think is a total rip off because there is just an inflated price for the sake of the react foam, but as these offered a bit more and my mindset is already one where under 150 euro seems like a reasonable price I might have over estimated the value to a regular futsal player. Thanks again for your reply and hopefully I have answered some questions and clarified some stuff as well. :)
@@BootWizard Wow thanks for the quick and good reply. You pretty much covered it all. Okay sorry, didn't know about the leather thing. @@lepari9986 Yeah I cover the Mizuno and things like that in boots of the month so I do still mention them and I have some synthetic Mizunos as well. Not sure if you'll still be looking at comments from a video this old lol but I was wondering how padded or thin the upper feels? I really like the look of these but I'm worried the flyknit might be too thin as I'm used to a more padded feel that comes with leather boots.
Hello Boot Wizard, i noticed that the Nemeziz upper is stiff at the start, I like a bit of a softer upper, does the Nemeziz soften up after use? Thanks 👍🏻
Totally agree with you it is a bit stiff out of the box, it certainly softens up, never going to be as soft as something like a puma future 5.1 but it does get softer.
Hi how are you? Nice review! Very detailed 👏👏 I want to get some indoor/ turf boots and I’m trying to decide between the react gato and the x 19.1. How would you compare the upper of these boots? (Comfort, more padded). Thank you very much!
Hey I am good, I hope you are as well. I would say that the react Gato is slightly more padded than the X IC version, overall I prefer the react by a good margin.
At first that new technology sounded really stupid. Who would like more stud pressure? But as you said in futsal you use more the sole of the boots so makes sence now. I'm just wondering if it feels uncomfortable when not controlling the ball 🤔 Because that is what you do most of the time, just running around.
You don't really feel it at all, so you don't notice it when you're running. It's not a problem. In order to keep them comfortable generally it kind of limits how much feel you can get by using the tech.
I want to use this on concrete, especially this summer. Will this be ok for it? I had my eye on the lunar gato II but gravitate towards this as I was hearing from reviews, it had an upper similar to the OG hypervenom and were good for Wide feet?
Yeah should be fine for most street pitches. I wouldn't say the upper is simailr to the hypervenom because it's Flyknit but there are some similarities.
