Full credit today. We’ve fought back and fought the conditions . It’s not going for Isodor at the moment, but he’s there getting on the end . His pace causes issues. Roberts deserves a lot of credit after last weeks criticism. He was at his man at every opportunity, especially first half . What he’d give for a slice of luck that Watson got today . Dan Neil too, no mistakes and won his tackles . Class at times today . We had more attempts than any match this season. This game ends about 5-2 if things are going for you. For me, stick with Isodor. He’s contributing . Disallowed goal v wba , which is not offside due to their defenders foot. Super sharp at Sheff u for long periods . His back heel gets us the pen. His sharp turn saw Soutthars red . Today he snatched at things but don’t forget the conditions. I guarantee if we leave him out we will notice what he gives us. He’s a willing runner and it will come for him .
Back to winning ways, vital win, a dominant performance, made hard work of a game that should've been out of sight by halftime and also thank god for young Tommy Watson cos it was nearly another frustrating result, to sum the game up, first half I thought we were really good, controlled it and like I said should've been out of sight, conceded a really poor goal but fair play to respond quickly, aside from the poor finishing and some dodgy defending at times I was really impressed with our first half performance, 2nd half we still edged it and had some really good chances but again like many games the 2nd half performance not as strong as the 1st, I do think young Watson got Le Bris out of jail big time, the timing of subs and lack of them again was disappointing, I didn't like us sitting back as soon as we took the lead but unfortunately I think that's what Le Bris wants us to do if we don't win a game by half time but in the end it didn't matter cos we got the job done, in terms of performances MOTM has got to be young Tommy Watson, I didn't think the lad was ready but the last 2 games he's done really well and to score 2 goals at home for ya boyhood club will be a moment he'll never forget, the only disappointment is he should've had a hat trick cos he missed a sitter before the winner, obviously we still can't get to carried away with him cos he's still young and he'll have dips and we can't put to much pressure on the lad but it's something to build on, I thought Neil was actually ok today, Roberts played much better and Hume had a decent game, got there in the end, we really needed those 3 points, still unbeaten at home which is really good, set's us up nicely for Bristol City where we'll hopefully get another win
Brilliant comments as usual mate, Totally agree about the substitutions too, we always leave it too late but it was nice to see us go 4-4-2 for the last 15. Need to back that up on Tuesday now.
Totally agree - Don't understand criticism of players after only 1 or 2 games - they need a run of games to judge them (Trai needed a run of games to get going). I believed Watson would come good, but he's massively over exceeded my expectation.
Chuffed for Tommy Watson, always great to see a local lad step from under 21s and score two goals!A massive win after drawing too many games and losing to Sheff Utd.A deserved win after conceding early doors.Only slight criticism is that the team need to make dominance count and put some of our chances away ,especially against the poor backline we faced today.
Hi Wayne - I hoped a run of games for Watson would accelerate his development and massive credit to him - after only 3 starts on left, with a 'baptism of fire' against Millwall, he's supercharged it off the scale! Conditions didn't help our game today, but we deserved the win and came back from behind. It'll take a big weight off the players mindset so they have confidence to play at our optimum level. Cheers. Jim
I think both teams deserved a bit of credit for putting on a good game of footy in those conditions. Watson MoM but O9 too. Best of the back line by a country mile. Alese poor first half early doors but was great 2nd half until he made way to give Cirkin some minutes. He's getting there again. Interesting team selection coming Tuesday I think.
Very good result to keep us firmly in the top 4 despite the lousy weather conditions but it's the same for both teams and we coped better than Stoke. Plenty of good possession as well as creating chances which were either saved by the keeper or the woodwork and Tommy scoring two belters clinched the three points our performance warranted. Bristol City on Tuesday Haway the lads.
Watson was magic…..is going from strength to strength…..hope we don‘t sell him in January😢 Despite awful conditions we managed to beat a very average Stoke team. Jobe was very quiet and Roberts although he had a pretty decent game just can‘t score. We need to be more clinical with the many chances we continue to make!
Well Wayne my prediction of 4-0 went up in smoke but still pleased we got a well deserved win although we could of had a lot more / onwards & upwards FTM
Little bit unsure about Roberts we all know he's potential great on ball but only delivers his best maybe 1 in 10 games wish he could be more consistent
@@themanftheworld8439 yes but that doesn't mean we were going to stay 5 points clear, Le bris said many times it's a long season we won't win every week let's be honest you were negative when we were winning games as well

Now then what a performance from T watson . Great goals especially after he wa slagged off by someone called davie on talk sport the other day .

Growing into the role every week Malcolm.

Agreed Jim he's starting to come into his own now.
A deseverd win in difficult conditions, but they squandered A LOT of chances. The finishing has to improve.
Agreed Ian

Agreed Chris, it must have been really difficult and we still managed to play good football.
I would bring Mayenda in for Isidor and Cirkin in for Alesi on Tuesday v BC at home.
Same again against Bristol please

Agreed John, if we can convert some more of these chances we win games comfortable.
