I passed out this morning, from a seated position. I was able to yell for my husband before I hit the floor. Thank God my husband caught my head before it hit the floor. Appreciate the information on the difference from blackout and passing out
Gacha Life Heiley yo me too. This happened yesterday , I had woke up to close my window because the wind kept waking me up , next thing I know I’m getting up from the floor
cheese It. I passed out 4 mins ago, i was going to say goodbye to my sister for going home then i got up i had to hold the door because i k ew i was gonna fall, next i fall and i.. I kinda spind around on the ground or like i vibrated next thing i know im getting up from the ground because my dad asks what i was doing...
I stood up and i started losing control of my legs , my vision slowly became dark and I became unable to see , I can feel myself going to fall so I started stumping the floors but it didn’t help and I fell.
Can you help me my sister throw me a bowl like i hard one do I faint coz of that idk I’m only 10 I feel really light headed and I don’t really remember stuff and I can’t walk correctly and I feel tired
I blacked out in Dec and again in March. Then I had almost daily near fainting experiences which were terrifying in their intensity. I finally went to the Doc in April and was diagnosed with 3rd degree heart block. My pulse rate was 28 beats per minute and I drove to the clinic!! I received a pacemaker that same day. I feel fine again.
yes, my bf had heart block recently after collapsing on the bus. he had a pulse of 30... he went to a and e and didn't get a pacemaker and defibrator until a week later, i think he had extra problems they discovered like sarcodois hence the pacemaker and defib was fitted later. wow they gave you a pacemaker the same day, that was a biit of a shock for you... wow
please continue these broadcasts. i have learned and understand so much about my sons condition and mine. some of the scariness of it all is gone. thank you
okay i have a question then. sometimes i will suddenly get dizzy and start tl see spots then my body will start to feel tingly and my legs will just give out the wierd thing is when this accurs i feel like my whole bpdy is shaking for about 3 to 5 seconds caused me to bang my head against a wood floor with a shaking feeling.
I fainted when I was little when seeing blood. I don't anymore but I fainted 6 months ago when one morning I woke up with belly pain and jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet I knew I will faint so I started getting panicked. That's when I lost consciousness, as when I woke up in the hallway the toilet was flushed. The thing is that my brother passed away 5 years ago so my parents have incredible anxiety, so I woke up and I was soaked and they were more terrified than I was. Since I have terrible anxiety and panic as I'm always scared that I will faint. I still struggle with it and I feel like I'm literally going crazy However, reading you stories makes me calmer.
So I've fainted a few times but there have been a few unexplained close calls. The first is when I was 10, we were practicing a song in school and I started feeling really quite weird, I started trembling and I started getting lightheaded. My instincts told me to sit down, so I did and it went away. The next time was when I was doing some charity work but we hadn't even started yet, we were just getting into position, I think this is my closest call without actually losing consciousness, as I could barely walk and I was shaking uncontrollably, even one of the guys I was with asked me if I was okay and remarked that I looked terrible. I got myself to a table and rested my head on it, it took me about 10 minutes to come out of it. I was fine for the rest of the day. The last one I sort of have an idea why that happened, I was coming home from outside and I heard footsteps running behind me. Idk why but I thought the were after m, so I ran into my house which luckily wasn't far away. I went upstairs and got that familiar dizzy feeling and shaking back. So I lay down on the floor until I felt okay. I have a feeling that this was something to do with adrenaline or something like that
Great idea you and Simon had to create a channel to help people with health issues but most doctors are more interested in making money. In their defense, most are extremely busy and overworked. There is little value and appreciation for anything free. You and Simon are jewels in medicine and great doctors!
Hloo When I sit for long hours and get up suddenly my vision becomes black and I lose stability and my head becomes heavy Can you please tell me the reason
earlier today, my mom came home and i was walking to tell my mom something. she was in the kitchen, and by the time i reached the dining room, i blacked out, fell, hit my head on our dining room table, and was on the floor. i saw dots in my vision and it felt like i was dreaming. when i came to my mom told me i hit my head and told me to sit on the couch. i drank some water and ate a little, and then i was fine. there was absolutely no warning at all, but i am okay :)
Same but the problem is when i going to colapsed im gasping for air and my heart palpitate .and then blocked out when I drove at the side walk but i recover ..after that and my whole body is tingling
Fainted first time, I got up too fast after I pooped, then I stretched my hands in the air to yawn, and that's when my heart went bonkers due to lack of enough blood supply. I somehow tried to grab something leaned against the wall and sat down, I was able to see and hear and my legs were moving in funny motion as if they were still trying to stand me up. That made me feel crap to be honest.
I too often experience this , raising the hands in the air while exhausted feels me very weak, not able to stand , lose consciousness, loss of vision, and then I somehow manage to sit or lie down and then after 10-15 sec I feel good. Is there any danger sign what is this have uh been consulted this?
I think I fainted when I was away in college. The reason I say I think is because I got a bunch of different people telling me I blacked out, passed out, fainted. But based on the description in this video, I believe I fainted. I recall the student bookstore becoming unbearably hot quite suddenly, I developed tunnel vision and felt like I was about to be sick and then next thing I knew I was on the floor and a security officer was asking me if I was diabetic or had any health problems. I had difficulty understanding the security officer though because I couldn’t hear him. All I could hear was buzzing and my blood pulsating in my ears.
Exactly what I experienced a number of times (albeit infrequent) in regards to fainting. Except before I was always able to sit down and wait it out and never really fainted. Today I was on a busy train when I started to get that hot dizzy feeling, and this time there was nowhere to sit myself to make it stop. Next thing I remember someone was helping me sit down as they made room for me. Kinda freaky, there's like 10 seconds missing there where I must have fell over and they caught me.
That happens to me all the time. Once my vision started getting hazy and then it went completely black. Next thing I knew, I was lying on the floor. It was terrifying
@@redbengal16 I'm surprised you responded lol, the first time it caught me my sister was in the next room over and she just heard a big thunk because I fell straight out into the hallway, that was hard to explain...
I lose consciousness on a daily basis due to POTS. My heart rate quickly increases and my blood pressure drops, causing me to faint. Sometimes I can’t lay down quick enough and I fall hitting the floor. The symptoms all started in the last six months. I quite often spend my time in bed b/c otherwise I risk falling while I am home alone. I can’t shower even with my shower chair unless someone is home with me. My cause is usually related to dehydration, but no matter how many electrolyte drinks I consume it’s never enough to stop the fainting. I’m very frustrated b/c I try very hard but my symptoms aren’t getting any better…
Same but I was opening the fridge, legs were weakening and shaking and my vision slowly blacking out. Wondering if you felt any of those symptoms before your fall
This information was invaluable. I fainted, and now know the difference! I shall still get checked out, but now I know the difference between fainting and black outs. Thank you so much.
I have Endometriosis and have had many fainting spells throughout my life, I have also blacked out...once due to Endometriosis. When I'm going to pass out I can feel it and I get clammy and very hot and feel extreme weakness increase rapidly. I typically like laying on a cold floor to help and tend to stay there for several minutes, if I'm lucky enough not to loss consciousness, otherwise I stay there regardless until I feel strong enough to move. As for the Black out I felt nothing before falling over and didn't even know I was falling over. Lucky I was on the Porcelain throne and I fell over and ended upside down in the tub. When I was coming to I remember my feet and legs had a strong wave run up my legs that felt like they were asleep. When I was coming to in the tub I didn't realize where I was, what happened or anything. If I didn't have my pants down with...Endometriosis evidence about the place I would have not even known how I got upside down in the cold dry tub...
Last week was my first ever collapse smashing a fan in the process of me falling, having no memory of what had happened. Told me doctor and he said it was associated with a very mild cough. Today have had a bigger fall walking through the kitchen smashing my face into something and cutting my cheek, cut my shoulder up, cut the back of my head. And now can't move my neck properly without pain shooting up my neck to my head and down my arms.
This morning I didn’t feel well so I got up and I felt like I was going to throw up, then my vision went black(like I couldn’t see at all) and my ears started ringing really loud ... but I didn’t faint completely maybe I was going to... so I just layed on my bed to ride it out ... but bro that stuff was scary
same thing happened to me everything went black so I tried to make my way into the bathroom, I fell over trying to close the door but I never went completely out I just sat on the floor until my vision came back
I can't identify what my child has cause her body doesn't get stiffness when collapsed and she become pale ,it really take time to react you can call her many times without responding
This is second time I blacked out, first time I just butted out a cigarette and felt myself lights going out so I called my wife, next I remember I woke on her lap resting, two years later now I had quit smoking for two years and really think my heart is strong, I'm now pretty much a ParaSwimmer hopping for a spot in Paralympic in 2020 and just blacked out again, this time at first I was feeling sick so I thought I would lay on my bed I was alone at home, and after laying on bed all I remember next was waking up all sweaty ⁉️
This is crazy because one time in class I ran from one chair to another chair idk y but I did then I was talking to my friend and next second I was on the floor and my teacher was yelling hey r u okay then I got up in my chair and ended up being fine after that.
I was at a softball practice. At the end my coach said, “All pitchers, and catchers MUST run a lap!” So I thought I could run and beat my entire team in my gear, I was a good.. I dunno.. maybe 20 yards ahead? When I looked up at a teammate. I could feel my brain spinning in my head, I could hear my heart beating.. my legs started hurting, I closed my eyes and I guess fell down. I heard another girl saying, “I’ll die with her!” (As a joke) and, “I don’t think she’s okay!” Finally my coaches ran over to me. They got me over on my back and I woke up crying. I couldn’t breathe, and I had a bad headache. On the way home, my mother and I were talking. I couldn’t get a sentence together. Suddenly, it all got quiet. My mom was yelling at the top of her lungs. Finally she put the window down and started tugging on me. Finally I woke up. Maybe 20-30 minutes later we left for the hospital. Everything was normal. I’m going back in 5-6 days. My mom doesn’t know but my chest burns and I have a softball tournament tomorrow.
Thanks for the video, I have just a general curiosity about all things so it's great to see some medical related videos done y professionals, good luck with your channel!
Thank you for posting this. I think I began to faint today at my oldest old school...again. I can’t really describe how I feel or felt in the last but I couldn’t walk, I grabbed something in today’s case the door rail or I’ll hold my hands out. I felt horrible outta nowhere & really hot. I don’t have a history of fainting but have felt the symptoms of it since having my fourth child last year. I thought it was from lack of something to eat but I ate already & had a coffee & Sprite. I feel jittery, dizzy, my speech slurs sometimes, very weak & hot before I officially before I begin to fall. I usually need help getting back on my feet & after a little while or an hour, I feel right again. I don’t really know what causes it other than too hot but today I began to feel too hot because it was too crowded in the school entrance. Too many people & the school nurse made everyone get in the school & away from me so I guess I could catch my breath. My fam & I temporarily live with my mother & she smokes which doesn’t help because I can’t breathe that crap & she keeps the house too hot. Although it’s a little cold outside, this still happened. Idk if I need to go to the hospital when this happens or not
Check your haemoglobin too. You might be anaemic from loosing blood after your deliveries. Also stop taking fizzy drinks and coffee. Drink beetroot mixed with carrots, and drinks lots of water. Wish you the best of health
Earlier yesterday, I fainted. I was looking in the mirror, when I felt weird. I held on to the wall and my bed frame. Big mistake. I fell and woke up a minute later. Tbh I’ve never fainted b4 and I think it’s weird.
I fainted once in school choir in front of everyone for that I was standing for a long time i bumped into my teacher and fell when I woke up I felt down, upset and a little tiny angry I had a little cry
This morning I was dying my mums hair and I noticed that I didn't feel very great I felt nervous and scared for some RESON and the I felt like I need to sit down as if I'm losing balance so a sat down I started to zone out and I was shaking bad and then my mum said my name and I stoped zoning out so I went outside and started to take deep breaths and everything started to go black like lost of dots or getting bigger but every time I got fresh air that made the blackness go away and I was so scared and I never fainted I'm my life it blacked out never so I'm not sure if I was close to fainting plz tell me what it is cuz I'm really worried about it!
all I felt was a feeling I recognize as a panic attach.... I thought, I haven't felt this in a very long time. Next opened my eyes and my face was on the table. I said, I think I passed out.... my friends called an ambulance. All tests at the hospital came out normal. Now I'm to see my primary care physician and a heart doctor. I felt relieved when you said about the monitor to ease worry. I increased my fluid and no caffeine today. I noticed I utalized the fluid. I've been under hydrated I think regularly
Thanks for the vdo...I am suffering from this ...I faced it twice😫 my family members are very worried about me😰😰 that's why I wanted to know ,what the reason is...
Some of the comments on here seem as though you are making fun of situation. I have had blackouts since I was twelve. They have been few and far between the episodes. During the blackout my vision is gone, sometimes I am aware I am falling except I have no control like my legs are like jelly. Always hit my knees on the floor and my brain is aware of the pain, and always once I am in the prone position my vision returns and I immediately am awake. Two years ago when this happened I was at the steps, just two steps, falling my brain registered I hit my left knee. I’m in a crumpled position, awakening when I was prone or down, I knew immediately I had broken my leg. I can have dizzy spells when laying flat too. I just wait through them, last a few minutes to an hour, it varies. Also have visual disturbances can see only half visual field. Half hour is the longest those spells have lasted. All of this is very scary. No one likes to loose control over their body. Especially with an injury afterward. I wish I could see this Dr Gupta .
I have had a history of fainting and blacking out ever since I was a little girl and I know most of my triggers sometimes, l can prevent myself from passing out and other times I can’t. I wake up on the floor or somebody wakes me up , my dad used to keep ammonia packets for me to help wake me up but it’s good to know that I’m not alone but I sometimes get tired of people telling me “just be stronger “”don’t give into it “but I can’t help how your body reacts Sometimes
Due to me being a dumb child I thought fainting was normal and did it a few times a year without ever bothering to tell anyone for years. At 17 I found out that my fainting had probably turned into sezuires over the years. Don't know when, the only reason know I had a sezuire at all was because I had it in public with my mum next to me. My parents didn't know I had been fainting beforehand so it was a shock to them. Recently I've found that I have moments of time where I can't remember anything, for example I was walking towards stairs at a muesum and then suddenly I'm half way down the stairs falling. I don't remember getting to the stairs let alone walking half way down them, I only remember falling. Then, again recently, I was at work talking to my boss when I had an aura and went to sit down, only to collapse half way down and lose complete control over bodily functions, I was spewing and shaking with absolutely no feeling in me, and I was incredibly sweaty despite it being cold in the room. I was fine after about ten minutes but still went home. I find that I'm often dizzy walking around and sometimes have auras with no faints or sezuires or anything afterwards. It's really weird and I think I need to see a doctor, but I really don't want to as my doctor might tell me to go to a neurologist again, which was incredibly expensive to see when I had that sezuire a while back and didn't fix anything last time. All they really did was explain that I had signs of epilepsy, but since I've only had one known sezuire I don't need medication. Still, I want to auaras and dizziness to stop. It's bothersome, especially when I'm with people and don't want to rudely sit down and panic them only for nothing to happen.
Then go to a neurologist, they are experts at these kinds of things and the fact that you want it gone but dont want to go to an expert is honestly kinda stupid
@@succondeeznuts1165 I'm a broke uni student working at Mc Donalds. I can't afford to see a neurologist just to have nothing change again. Even if they could fix it, I probably can't afford the medication anyway, and I'd lose my license as well as majority of my shifts (epileptics arent allowed to work nights and that's about majority of my shifts since I'm at uni all day (I also use my car for nights since it's dangerous for me to walk to work when it's dark)). Honestly, I'm kinda just ignoring it for now. The most I've gotten hurt is when it happened while walking down some stairs, and even then I was mostly okay, so while I know it's stupid and I know its dangerous, but I'm kinda just gonna leave it and see what happens. I use public transport as much as possible to limit the risk of it happening while driving, and I always tell people where I am so if something was to happen they'd know where to look for me. It's the most I can realistically do for now.
@@succondeeznuts1165 that's okay! Dont worry about it haha, it gets frustrating at times but I'm overall okay. I hope you're okay, blacking out is never fun.
Im a braincancer survivor, and when my BP drops I get blackouts, it happened before. Ghee, the way I hit my face against the wall sounded like a gunshot. Thankyou for your insight regarding blackouts. I cycle daily and take care of my inlets
Thank you for this information! Now I know the difference between faint and blackout. I have a 15 year old daughter who occasionally faints and loses consciousness for a few seconds then gets severe headache afterwards. Does she suffer from vasovagal syndrome?
so today i had a college exercise exam and i pushed myself to the absolute limit and beyond for this pre-exam and i overworked to the point where afterward i couldn’t see, i could barely stand, i had very little cognitive ability and i had gone limp for a second or 2. you know when you stand up too fast and you get dizzy and your vision goes all weird yea that was me for about 10 min straight and i literally couldn’t do anything really after that for about 30 min. i am on a research spree to figure out exactly why and what even happened. if anyone is wondering what exactly i did, i did a 500 meter sprint, 30 push-ups, 10 burpies, 40 sit-ups, and 30 1 second squats. a probably big factor in this is that i hadn’t had water since about 20 hours prior.
Dude i had a college exam and when i got home , i sat down at my latop and then i woke up not knowing what happend , i think i was so stressed that the moment i relaxed i blacked out
Last week at work I felt weird and my heart started racing. I went into the bathroom and blacked out or fainted. I broke my collarbone and smashed my glasses into my eye sockets giving myself a very black swollen shut eye along with a concussion.. I was taking blood pressure medicine every night as a sleep aid and to help me relax. I went to the ER overnight and got all the tests done. They are still not sure exactly what happened. I do not drink and go to the gym 5 days a week. I have to see the neurologist and I have a heart monitor on for one month. 50yr old male.
Today a few hours ago I was riding my bicycle and was getting ready to cross an intersection with my brother one hot summer day in Arizona (a hot desert) when I started to feel light headed and my hearing started to go as well as my vision started to blacken. It got so black and deaf all a sudden I felt myself fall down and hit the ground. Thankfully my brother and a bypasser saw me and both gave me water to drink and watched me as I regained my consciousness. It all happened so fast. Thankfully I made it out okay and got back up and drank a lot of water.
2 blackouts last 4 years on the street. Both with a fall, head trauma, broken shoulder and memory loss. I've been examined extensively by cardiologists and neurologists, still no definitive answers.
Can anxiety problems stem from heart issues? I have horrible panic attacks out of the blue every day. My Dr just doesn't care. I take 20mg Lisinopril for high BP. I'm just curious if I should see a cardiologist? I get Very dizzy and then the panic sets in. I'm at my wit's end with this. I just want to feel normal. I'm 35 yrs old and had always been healthy, but the last few years have me wondering. Please respond...it would mean a great deal. Thank you!
countrygirl love I spent 6 months getting tested from a cardiologists and neurologists with all saying I’m healthy and fine. When I went to the VA they said it was panic attacks from PTSD. I’ve had both blackouts and fainting spells. I too an very frustrated since it’s hard to live like this...
countrygirl love, Again ask your Doctor for lorazepam and meclizine . Also Dramamine the natural form made out of ginger is the best thing for you . The former chief of staff at the Cleveland clinic Doctor Roy Greenburg that tragically die of cancer after saving me from dying of liver cancer told me these things . The Cleveland clinic is world renowned for it's expertise in science and medical research . Doctor Greenburg tolled me Ativan/ lorazepam is safest and most beneficial to take for anxiety . Also the other things I recommended for you . if your doctor doesn't want to prescribe you these things, get a new doctor as quickly as possible .
My AV Node Reentrant Tachycardia (AVNRT), a spontaneously starting and stopping supraventricular tachycardia, was misdiagnosed as panic attacks for years. Of course, the episodes caused extreme anxiety as my heart rate averages 230-280 bpm during an episode, but it wasn't until a particularly bad case of it one night that wouldn't resolve on its own that resulted in the arrhythmia finally caught on a 12-lead ECG and they converted it back to sinus rhythm with adenosine. Now that it's more or less under control, I'm not an anxious person anymore. It's common in 20-30 something women, just food for thought. Hope you're doing alright.
I black out first time and it never happened again until now. I was under stress that time. I happened so fast but I remembered I had fast heartbeat before it happened and I was calling my brother before I hit the floor. I remember waking up half awake pulling up my pants because I was doing number 1 when it happened, after a sec I’m on the floor again and then remembered my brother waking me up this time. I don’t know what happened. I’m a bit worried. Plan to see a cardio now because my gp told me to get a lab test which went normal even my ecg but not satisfied yet because I developed ectopic beats after this - don’t know if they’re related though bcoz to be honest my sleep patterns did not return to normal due to anxiety. So Help me God
I have hypotension. My vision goes to black dots, then goes completely black. My hearing goes fuzzy. I can physically feel the artery in my abdomen pulsating. I’m still conscious until I hit the deck, then I lose consciousness for a couple seconds.
I feel like I have been getting close to fainting. When I drive especially, and more so if I go on the FWY, even more so if I go on a high overpass. I started taking turmeric and have felt a great deal of relief. But still at times start to feel a disconnect between my appendages and my brain. I will start to feel like I might black out. I get off the FWY. I also noticed if I eat I feel better. So I am not allowing myself to go long periods without food.
All I remember is opening my fridge then I felt my legs weakening and my vision slowly blacking out, I still hit my head but luckily my little sister tried to slow down my fall
Today we went to church to pray and it was so crowded and hot, my eyesight went black and i was very very dizzy. I just closed my eyes because I don't know what to do. I woke up and my eyesight was still a little black. I was so confused.
Thank you very much for an explanation. You have described my fainting experiences very well. I will be seeing my doctor very soon. In the mean time, more water more salt. Thanks
When I feel like I am going to faint my vision gets blurred, I lose hearing, I get dizzy, I feel like my heart starts beating fast like if I finished running. I also get weak like I am about to fall, so I try to catch myself on a wall or something. It mostly happens in the shower, so I am thinking it might be because I am standing in one spot for too long. One time I fainted in the bathroom, and my mom thought I was just messing around, but I got up went out of the bathroom and fainted again. I gotta skip school on that day though.
I was having that blackouts standing then just slam to the floor many times on my knees or crashing through things or landing face first in my food. When that begins occurring frequently i start taking magnesium, kelp vitamins, and omega xl. All on my own i believe it was God that had me take them. Id take them daily until the episodes stopped. Evertime it acts up id take them. Eventually i stopped needing them as often. Maybe due to diet changes such as stopping massive loads of sugar. Idk if the episodes are linked to eating too much at once when constipated or if it was a certain medication i was on. For example if i increased food, dairy (calcium? Like lots of yogurt)or meds or sugars so i figured its a lack of magnesium and or iodine. I recently heard antioxidents are needed for iodine digestion. That may or may not be true re iodine & antioxidents. I almost always take the 3 together. Although I have taken just magnesium and it helped. I still chose the 3.
I can sense a blackout maybe 5 seconds prior and I will head for a safe place (a solid structure) to hold onto everything goes black but I can still hear ok and so long as I have my balance ,I will stand for 30 seconds to 2 minutes for it to pass. Now if I faint I will not have any warning just shutdown no arms out to protect just faint and this will last for 2 minutes at least but if I injure myself in falling maybe 20 minutes and will wake up with someone's voice talking to me (paramedic or wife)
I blacked out yesterday for 2 hours. As soon as i went to bed i blacked out and woke up 2 hours later. Wasn’t sleeping, just on my phone. What i remember is that it didn’t happen immediately, i could feel that i was tired and it gradually occurred within 3 minutes. I don’t think this a faint or a black out but something else. I woke up later and couldn’t remember what happened, where i was, what time it was. And that was all in my room.
Now THAT is scary Mine only lasts for 5-10 secs then i can go back to my senses and remember what just happened, I've also broken some things when randomly blacking out which is bs.
What happened to me: I was going to the bathroom, then I saw myself in the mirror but then I started seeing black spots.. then my vision was REALLY bad so I quickly walked to my room and lied down and I started seeing normal again. Then I thought I could go to the kitchen which is downstairs, so I went downstairs, got my ice cream and then I started seeing those black dots again! I went onto the stairs back to my room and lied down, and my vision came back
I overloaded my brain trying not too go into the darkness where it fried my brain and heart and now I’m in fear if I do that’s it.. I feel it in my heart that theirs something wrong... I just got out of the hospital and guess what the first nurse with the finger thing told me my thing was high if it usually was it never is and then once I get back there the nurse stress the pressure arm thingy but I don’t know they didn’t really take a listen to my heart it’s truly sad on how easy they make a dollar and they thought I was crazy by the way when my blood started to boil and once I was falling over that I went into a different realm of state... it was me or the darkness I really had to fight for my life that fried my brain and heart can.... can anybody give me any good advice to get my heart stronger if they’re not going too have a look... My heart can’t handle another one too soon...
I have fainted while sitting down. I have fainted a lot in my life it mostly happens when I'm pregnant. But also happens when I'm not. No doctor can tell me anything.
Thank u for this video, I fainted at school, vision was like blurry and my head was like so dizzy, my hands made embarrassing movements my legs bent and I fell on my friend that was standing in front of me, and I got helped up to the schoo
It about 1 day before. I had my first blackout. Firstly I did know about it. But i never had one. When it happend I started stop hearing and as far as I remember I even can't see anything. Felt like a warm sleep. When I try to remember what exactly happened that time I can't remember anything. I'm able to remember the staring and when I woke up from blackout. I can't remember what exactly was am I doing that time.
Okay, but what if I just lose time. Yesterday I woke up and checked my phone, it said, 7:15, I walked up and went to the bathroom and when I turned my phone on to play some music the time was 7:34, I did not do anything but and what I thought was a period of a minute was actually 15??? Last night I was reading and I remember being on a certain chapter, next thing I know I was about 70 pages further in the book with no recollection of what I had read and it was about an hour later which makes no sense. My smartwatch picked up both of these instances and it essentially just said I stayed in the same place at all. What the hell is happening to me?
For the first time, I was standing and realizing that something was going to happen, I was standing here instead of sitting down. Then all of a sudden we had no sense for 5-6 seconds.
I woke up on my bedroom floor this morning. I had eaten half my dinner. Was on my back on wood floor. I do take sleep meds. I hope it was just that. My food was spilt on the side of my chair half uneaten. My memory had shut off and normally i watched you tube videos and went to ned switched my light off. This is Not like me. I passed out in may. I had vasovagal event. What happened. I hope I just fell asleep. Put protectors on my tables as ive done it 3 times in life. Have history of anorexia. Have gained weight recently though.
My wife passed out for more than 6 hours on 11 oct. When she gain consciousness she lost ability to talk. When she fall, she got little head injury not severe (soft tissue injury). We all are in shock and pain. Please suggest further course of action. She is diagnosed with Dengue fever.
Update. There was blood clot in speech centre area. It was dissolved through medication. Within 4 days she started gaining speech. Now she has fully recovered.❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing this. I was concerned yesterday when I jogged downstairs and tried to waterfall some water. I started feeling light-headed as I walked into the kitchen. After opening the fridge and holding the water container over my head (waterfalling), thought ... 'I'm not feeling so good' and suddenly I'm on the floor in a small pool of water. I do remember the back of my head hitting the top of the island (thankfully it was not a hard hit), on the way down. I seemingly fell straight down and remember being in a slight 'haze' wondering if I really did fall. The pool of water and the water container, on the floor, assured me it was all too real. Thank God it wasn't a black out. I was nervous if something was really wrong but I felt fine; heart beating normal and could get up okay, move my mouth, and talk normal. Sounds like I'm just in terrible shape and the jog down the stairs (from previously sitting down) caused me to faint. Reality check!
Today after hitting my lower back area I almost fainted. I saw whiteness everywhere, and my hearing was bad. I was stumbling back to my car because I was fishing. I sat down, drank some water, then felt better
my mom who is 80 years old had three episode of blackout. Her cardiologist and neurologist couldnt diagnose the issue. She did multiple test like holter and loop test but no finding.
I passed out this morning, from a seated position. I was able to yell for my husband before I hit the floor. Thank God my husband caught my head before it hit the floor. Appreciate the information on the difference from blackout and passing out
I passed out in the morning, I blacked out for about 10-15 seconds. I just randomly feel down and couldn’t see anything ..
Gacha Life Heiley yo me too. This happened yesterday , I had woke up to close my window because the wind kept waking me up , next thing I know I’m getting up from the floor
Same, happens quite regularly to me now it feels like I’m falling of a cliff untill you open your eyes, tryna find out why
HongLeh I have this problem too sometimes, it’s so scary! 😭 What do you guys do when you get this fainting attack?

Same happened to me but I was driving and hit a car
I blacked out in Dec and again in March. Then I had almost daily near fainting experiences which were terrifying in their intensity. I finally went to the Doc in April and was diagnosed with 3rd degree heart block. My pulse rate was 28 beats per minute and I drove to the clinic!! I received a pacemaker that same day. I feel fine again.
Glad youre OK
@@saintessa thank you!
@Jack Cooks Pacemaker!
yes, my bf had heart block recently after collapsing on the bus. he had a pulse of 30... he went to a and e and didn't get a pacemaker and defibrator until a week later, i think he had extra problems they discovered like sarcodois hence the pacemaker and defib was fitted later. wow they gave you a pacemaker the same day, that was a biit of a shock for you... wow
it is good to know you feel fine my bf will fills dizzy and faint after his pacemaker and now has eptopic beats
please continue these broadcasts. i have learned and understand so much about my sons condition and mine. some of the scariness of it all is gone. thank you
okay i have a question then. sometimes i will suddenly get dizzy and start tl see spots then my body will start to feel tingly and my legs will just give out the wierd thing is when this accurs i feel like my whole bpdy is shaking for about 3 to 5 seconds caused me to bang my head against a wood floor with a shaking feeling.
starsofficer11 that’s like a seizure my brother has epilepsy u should get that checked out
This is happening to my friend she keeps fainting and blacking out when she's dizzy
Possibly seizure.
OH MY GOD SAMEEE and sometimes ill lay down on the ground and then wake up and not remember what happened
Same I get dizzy and see spots and the leg give up and stuff but the shaking part i don’t have but it happens like every 5 years
I fainted when I was little when seeing blood.
I have a feeling that this was something to do with adrenaline or something like that
You might be anaemic. Check your haemoglobin. Also stay away from fear anxiety. Wish you well
Great idea you and Simon had to create a channel to help people with health issues but most doctors are more interested in making money. In their defense, most are extremely busy and overworked. There is little value and appreciation for anything free. You and Simon are jewels in medicine and great doctors!
I wish my doctor had explained to me with such detail and care when blacked out. Thank you so much.
Hloo
When I sit for long hours and get up suddenly my vision becomes black and I lose stability and my head becomes heavy
Can you please tell me the reason
earlier today, my mom came home and i was walking to tell my mom something. she was in the kitchen, and by the time i reached the dining room, i blacked out, fell, hit my head on our dining room table, and was on the floor. i saw dots in my vision and it felt like i was dreaming. when i came to my mom told me i hit my head and told me to sit on the couch. i drank some water and ate a little, and then i was fine. there was absolutely no warning at all, but i am okay :)
Same but the problem is when i going to colapsed im gasping for air and my heart palpitate .and then blocked out when I drove at the side walk but i recover ..after that and my whole body is tingling
Same experience!
@@shreepalpatidar4960 same here
@@shreepalpatidar4960 But the last time I fainted, lost consciousness and had some visions or flashbacks, whatever you call them.
Did you ever find out the source?
Happened to me 5 times in 37 months.
interesting
Thank you for this video. I’ve never fainted myself but have experienced hazy vision when getting up too quickly.
That happens to me all the time. Once my vision started getting hazy and then it went completely black. Next thing I knew, I was lying on the floor.
It was terrifying
@@redbengal16 That has happened to me a number of times, it's quite hit or miss though, most of the time I can resist it and stay on my feet.

I just blacked out and hit my head so bad on the floor. Am here researching what's the reason.
I managed to get through the video, sorry your handsome face was distracting.
awww how kind!
Enjoy! That's the BONUS!
Great information. Very helpful. Thank you. I "fainted" 2x a little over 90 minutes. Donated blood about 6 1/2 hours ago.
Bro I tried opening my fkn truck to get inside but couldn’t in time and ended up slumped on the parking lot lmao

Same but I was opening the fridge, legs were weakening and shaking and my vision slowly blacking out. Wondering if you felt any of those symptoms before your fall
@@ChristusRex081 Yeah, whenever it happens to me my eyes slowly become darker and darker.

This information was invaluable. I fainted, and now know the difference! I shall still get checked out, but now I know the difference between fainting and black outs. Thank you so much.
Glad you're safe.
This morning I didn’t feel well so I got up and I felt like I was going to throw up, then my vision went black(like I couldn’t see at all) and my ears started ringing really loud ... but I didn’t faint completely maybe I was going to... so I just layed on my bed to ride it out ... but bro that stuff was scary
same thing happened to me everything went black so I tried to make my way into the bathroom, I fell over trying to close the door but I never went completely out I just sat on the floor until my vision came back
Thank so much for your really informative videos. You put complex problems into language that ordinary people can understand. I shared this today.
At the end my coach said, “All pitchers, and catchers MUST run a lap!”
So I thought I could run and beat my entire team in my gear, I was a good.. I dunno.. maybe 20 yards ahead? When I looked up at a teammate. I could feel my brain spinning in my head, I could hear my heart beating.. my legs started hurting, I closed my eyes and I guess fell down.
I heard another girl saying, “I’ll die with her!” (As a joke) and, “I don’t think she’s okay!”
Finally my coaches ran over to me.
Idk if I need to go to the hospital when this happens or not
I also feel off balance & like everything around me is kinda spinning. It’s not like I tripped or anything. I don’t really know how to describe it.
Check your haemoglobin too. You might be anaemic from loosing blood after your deliveries. Also stop taking fizzy drinks and coffee. Drink beetroot mixed with carrots, and drinks lots of water. Wish you the best of health
go to hospital
Thank you so much Sir very knowledgeable video ..
Yesterday I was suffering from fainting
Earlier yesterday, I fainted. I was looking in the mirror, when I felt weird. I held on to the wall and my bed frame. Big mistake. I fell and woke up a minute later. Tbh I’ve never fainted b4 and I think it’s weird.
If you faint should you go to a cardiologist or a neurologist?
I fainted once in school choir in front of everyone for that I was standing for a long time i bumped into my teacher and fell when I woke up I felt down, upset and a little tiny angry I had a little cry
Excellent video thank you. Any plans to cover Hashimotos Thyroiditus and general thyroid issues?
I've never fainted or blacked out - or even come close.Thank God!
all I felt was a feeling I recognize as a panic attach....

I blacked out in my bathroom due to nauseous this morning and fractured my jaw from hitting my face on the sink and chipped my tooth😅
Thanks for the detailed information! Keep doing good work. God bless you.
Thanks so much for this helpful info. Subscribed!
Black out once that was years ago i pray that it doesn't happen again .... i was so lucky i fell on my sis feet so no head damage
Thank you so much for the information. I have fainted numerous times and what you describe is the exact symptoms what happens to me.
It's the most I can realistically do for now.

so today i had a college exercise exam and i pushed myself to the absolute limit and beyond for this pre-exam and i overworked to the point where afterward i couldn’t see, i could barely stand, i had very little cognitive ability and i had gone limp for a second or 2. you know when you stand up too fast and you get dizzy and your vision goes all weird yea that was me for about 10 min straight and i literally couldn’t do anything really after that for about 30 min. i am on a research spree to figure out exactly why and what even happened. if anyone is wondering what exactly i did, i did a 500 meter sprint, 30 push-ups, 10 burpies, 40 sit-ups, and 30 1 second squats. a probably big factor in this is that i hadn’t had water since about 20 hours prior.
Everything was the same for me but i didnt feel anything when i hit the floor. I was fully unconscious by that point i guess

Thank you!
Ativan, or the generic form Lorazapam is the best thing for panic attacks .
countrygirl love I spent 6 months getting tested from a cardiologists and neurologists with all saying I’m healthy and fine.
Anxiety as far as my knowledge goes comes from an overactive 'amygdala' or from other factors like genes.
You're absolutely amazing...Thanks for the wonderful advice.
Thank you so much Dr Gupta. As always you are so kind and helpful.
very good explanation clear every thing for me
So if someone tells you that I'm feeling dizzy then after collapse then that's fainting
It always happens time while I’m driving also🤷♂️ And coughing
I am so greatful😭😭❤thank you so so much for this video
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
In my case There was a warning my heart was racing but I couldn't control my fall and I didn't even knew that I fell down until I woke up.
I am so thank full for your information - thank you.
I Fainted in a chair an almost cracked my head before that I felt super weak and I saw color full dots in my vision
God bless you, Sir.
Do you think a black out could be caused by low blood pressure or would that be a faint?
All I remember is opening my fridge then I felt my legs weakening and my vision slowly blacking out, I still hit my head but luckily my little sister tried to slow down my fall
I really need to talk to you about my blackouts. Most of the time it's activated by going into grocery stores.
Today we went to church to pray and it was so crowded and hot, my eyesight went black and i was very very dizzy. I just closed my eyes because I don't know what to do. I woke up and my eyesight was still a little black. I was so confused.
when will you do more videos ..?
waiting 😊
Kitty Melody it’s normal if you are in puberty it’s because your body is adjusting to growing
Kitty melody how are you doing now?
I fainted a few hours ago from getting out of my chair to fast and I remember getting up off the flour 5-10 min later with a bruised shoulder
Flour🤣🤣
I can sense a blackout maybe 5 seconds prior and I will head for a safe place (a solid structure) to hold onto everything goes black but I can still hear ok and so long as I have my balance ,I will stand for 30 seconds to 2 minutes for it to pass. Now if I faint I will not have any warning just shutdown no arms out to protect just faint and this will last for 2 minutes at least but if I injure myself in falling maybe 20 minutes and will wake up with someone's voice talking to me (paramedic or wife)
Very informative
i blacked out a night ago trying to close my window 😭
I blacked out yesterday for 2 hours. As soon as i went to bed i blacked out and woke up 2 hours later. Wasn’t sleeping, just on my phone.
What i remember is that it didn’t happen immediately, i could feel that i was tired and it gradually occurred within 3 minutes. I don’t think this a faint or a black out but something else.
I woke up later and couldn’t remember what happened, where i was, what time it was.
And that was all in my room.
Did you get it checked out?
Now THAT is scary
Mine only lasts for 5-10 secs then i can go back to my senses and remember what just happened, I've also broken some things when randomly blacking out which is bs.
What happened to me:
I was going to the bathroom, then I saw myself in the mirror but then I started seeing black spots.. then my vision was REALLY bad so I quickly walked to my room and lied down and I started seeing normal again.
No doctor can tell me anything.
was in the middle of choir and almost blacked out. i managed to sit down before anything happened but man that was scary.
I hope you're okay, can you give an update? Have you gotten a diagnosis?
great video.
For the first time, I was standing and realizing that something was going to happen, I was standing here instead of sitting down. Then all of a sudden we had no sense for 5-6 seconds.
Excellent nformation
i fainted about five minutes ago from standing up to fast, oh god my head hurts
thanks... great video...
the "more than just medicine" label has me concerned there might be hocus pocus
