My wife and I really enjoyed the info about the tanky Cyclone and the like, can you update this build? We like survivability over clear speed.... ^__^ or did you abandon the cyclone for full dedication into burning ray?
if your not socket starved you can use void manipulation with frostblink to protect you from ele reflect with it(as it wont do damage), downside you lose chills/shocks though.
I've been playing arcane RF. One thing you might like to try: take wicked ward, get a little bit of spell supress (I have 35%+lucky mastery) and 1 or 2 sources of Chance for energy shield to start recharging when you suppress (on charms or that which was taken jewel). I am running that with the grace setup you described and am very tanky. Unfortunately it would mean you can't run eternal youth so you would need to find another solution for coruscating elixir (I'm not running one, but I heard flask mastery gain life on flask use works)
Scuffed Split Personality has similar performance to the normal build, with the upside of future-proofing your setup for when you have the currency to fully upgrade. Loved the update, Pohx!
As an idea that I was toying with to recover a lot of mana was to put Mana Leech on a 4L shield charge and annoit either spirit void or Essence sap. Since mana leech is way higher then life leech you can easily get 2-3k/s mana leech going by just shield charging into mobs. Only problem would be if rf kills a pack before you hit the shield charge
I'm doing an RF playthrough using your guide through HCSSF this league and it's been going great. My jugg died which was sad, but I tried the inquisitor version next and it felt a lot better after 2nd ascendancy onward due to the double dip in life/ES regen. I was able to get the mana RF gem yesterday and I'm looking to see if there's a way to swap to it in HCSSF, looks like you've went straight for the high budget setup, I wonder if there will be a low budget league starter setup for this build. Would be awesome to try out. Thanks for the guide Pohx!
Definitely not viable for HC. Way to squishy, and lacks of strong defensive layers. You will be better of playing EA Hiero, than RF if you gonna play HC that is.
Pohx definitely needs to do more sponsor reads! Also, that build looks really solid (the abyss was a nice showcase imo). Sadly, it's no longer an easy set up an go jugg. I suppose that was the intention from GGG, but it is a bit of a shame.
The opportunity cost is too high but the "chance to recover 10% of mana when you use a skill" can be stacked up to 75% this league, so it might technically be an option. 10% each from mastery, essence amulet, 3x charms, and charm jewel, and 15% from clarity watcher's. There's also the ritual gloves that reimburse a skill's cost as mana 30% of the time
@@zack151 misunderstanding for sure, he means the other new jewel which gives 4 random charm mods aka That Which Was Taken (it's very cool check it out!)
Firstly I was wondering why you dont pick up Mind over Matter to get a bit more tanky and have an easier time sustaining your ES? Having decent mana sustain should be the lesser problem. Secondly I found a charm with 20% hp regen every 5 seconds and no elemental reflect damage taken. That could also help
Edit: JK I don't think this would be worth it with Indigon since you'd have less mana to dump. Scatterbrain moment. Since Sanctuary of Thought only can provide AoE bonus up to 100% couldn't you technically reserve up to 4969 of your mana with another aura since 5000 unreserved mana would be 100% increase AoE? Or is that not how that would work? Because if so, seems like there is room for additional auras.
I had the same question in my head until my friend figured it out. You have to skill the keystone eternal youth, so that energy shield recharge recharges your life. Which is not considered "regeneration" from the other keystone :)
Eternal yourth keystone, or 4% life recovered on flask use from Flask Mastery. Eternal youth is the easy one pointer, but if you wanted to try some energy recharge stuff you would be forced into the flask one, which is only 3 passives extra.
Don't see many people talking about it, but you can leech with the arcane rf. Spell damage leeches applies since spell damage increases it as well. Weirdly added elemental damage to spell also applies, maybe something like applying chill with +1-5 cold damage to spells or something. I am using a flask with spell damage leech in my build, will try one of the leech nodes once I get a few more levels.
A few things: 1.) Damage can only ever be one type. Arcane RF burn is DoT damage, not spell damage, despite the line about spell damage modifiers. Many other DoT spells have this same line, such as Essence Drain. 2.) Only hits can leech. A dot cannot leech under any circumstances. Note: ED has a regeneration component that scales with its damage, but it is mechanically distinct from leech. 3.) Flat damage cannot mechanically work with RF, as it only affects hit damage. DoTs such as ignite or poison benefit from flat damage only because they scale with an initial hit, and RF does not work this way.
Pohx ! Help me) I have a problem with the flask (Coruscating Elixir Ruby Flask). it removes all my health leaving 1 HP. But at 1 HP then the RF stops working and it turns off for me. Tell me, how does this flask not delete all your HP? Ty
The new transfigured scales with spell damage (regular RF doesn't), and it also scales the burn based off mana. You stack a big mana pool, which makes your RF burn stronger. Then you use Arcane Cloak to spend a lot of mana at once and pump up Indigon spell dmg stacks, which boosts your transfigured RF damage even further.

@@OG_Gamer_Guy4only problem with that is that mana RF struggles to have a good time between early to high budget gear. Like when you hit red maps on a budget you will notice alot more resistance in terms of deaths compared to the life variant
