    Nice build! Definitely better with the ports blocked indeed.

    I didn't know that if you connected two speakers in parallel the resistance will be divided by the number of speakers! And if you connect them in series the resistance will add up! I definitely learned something new from this video. Thanks!

    definitely block the ports, but you could use a passive radiator, it will be much better

      Thanks, I think I will reprint the enclosures and add some radiators to them as you have suggested. Also ordered a calibrated mic so I can measure the difference.

    If you had used passive bass radiator then bass could have been much better 😊

    Whats the Corossoverpoint for the speakers?

      @griffinsBuilds  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm not sure what the crossover point is, it's just a 2.1 amplifier board.

    Good looking build...and definitely block the ports...are you using the 2 inch speakers as tweets or are they full range also...pretty amazing sound out of such little cones...I need to give this a go I think

      Thank you. The 2-inch speakers are being used as full range.

    Looks great! May I suggest picking up a miniDSP mic so you don’t have to guess how your enclosure is performing?
    Also check out WinISD and Hornresp for enclosure modeling.

      Hi Andrew, yes they are both great suggestions! I am currently using winISD on my next speaker design. And plan to get a calibrated mic.

    Your plastic cover for the bass driver work as a bass radiator. Block the ports

      Thanks, I think I will!

    I can already hear the nasty bassbump at around 120-150, most likely because the enclosure is not the right one for speakers. The only way to prevent that is taking TSP measurements, for example with the Dayton Dats V3.

      Thanks for your comment, yes correct it is most likely not optimal size as I mentioned in video. Good to know about the dats v3 if I need in future. For future projects I think I will just buy speakers that are supplied with all the specifications so I can design correct enclosures for them.

    Sound better with ports blocked
