I noticed that too, however, I feel like Mark is using the fully upgraded/unlocked power-washer, while Jack still has the starter one. If you watch Mark's vs Jack's, Mark can shoot further, has a wider spread (hehe), and it looks like he can clean graffiti at the same time as washing the grime clean.
I hope you keep making “powerwash pals” It’s like a podcast with something nice to watch (like how jack builds legos and while listening a podcast, you’re brain just melts and you just absorb)
Yeah honestly. Its nice to remember how these people are genuine and human too. And they arent doing it for the show of it, they are doing it to get their thoughts out there and concerns for the content creation platforms we have now in the case of the video
That's what it is, though. Mark asked if people wanted to see a podcast-type series where he sits down with guests and they talk while playing the game lol.
It's so refreshing to hear TH-camrs that I've watched for years and grown up with still be wholesome and genuinely honest about what it's like to be where they are. As you get older you realize people are just people. Even your idols.
As I got older I stopped watching you guys for awhile but came back and it's nice to see you guys have grown with me and are still making content I'm interested in 😊
Agreed. Sometimes it kinda sucks to see how badly childhood youtubers become (minecraft youtubers) but then as you grow, it's so nice to see that Mark, Sean, felix, etc. grow up with us, and it always feel great to be with them
As much as I do miss the "old Markiplier and Jacksepticeye", content like this where the two are just having a mature talk about their audience, life, job, struggles, morals and opinions could've never come from the hyper Sean and Mark from the previous decade. I've been watching both of you for close to that (probably started around 2015), and I can say that they have both grown exponentially. A lot of what they've said here is very relatable and cool to see. I still look for the channels that can connect with their viewers on more than an acquaintance or monetary level. As much as you both state you don't hold that connection, you really do, just as any celebrity you have influence over lives. No better example than MatPat's recent retirement, the internet was in shock, people literally mourned his retirement like he died, simply because he made a difference in so many hearts. Regardless of how disconnected you can feel from your fans, the words and actions you say and perform can affect them mentally, which by proxy can affect them physically. Like you even stated with TikTok not being capable of this relationship between creator and audience, that is very true and it goes for every one of these "short form social media" sites, except maybe Vine (RIP). TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and TH-cam Shorts all have the same issue, the content isn't enticing enough to make a watcher explore the channels. Most the videos I see on TH-cam Shorts are enticing, I like the content and the creators are interesting, and maybe they appear in my recommendations a handful of times afterwards, but I heard this line and I don't remember where but it's a great question: can you remember a single creator's name that you've viewed on a short form social media site? The person I heard this from had asked others, most the people they asked couldn't name a single one. I know so many creators I've seen multiple times on TH-cam Shorts, and I don't even remember their channel's initials. The bond between audience and creator is non-existent. Another good example is viewing their long-form videos compared to their Shorts. The long-form videos from these mainly Shorts creators always have VERY low view counts, even when the channel has millions of subscribers the long-form videos are usually between 5k-50k views which is awful for a channel that successful. There isn't a motivation to look into a creator, short form content just can't do it. Vine was really the only one I'd say that could, since many of those creators were memorable, and made successful jumps to other platforms, like Thomas Sanders or Zach King.
I started watching Mark and Jack when i was 14 Being 20 now is like insane. They have become my daily life routine to come home from school and play their videos now i’m coming home from work make food and play their videos. It’s sad to know that sometime soon it’ll be over :(
Yeah, I was watching Mark and jack when I was like 9, I'm almost 17 now. I don't know why but it feels like they are disappearing soon, they were the first gaming TH-camrs I ever watched
Maybe it won't ever truly be over, they will probably just move on to other creative venues and put all their effort into those, and we grow along with them. Maybe there will come a day that we all grow past watching them on TH-cam and can instead enjoy their other pursuits that they grow into.
The fact that this seems more like two friends on a late night chat just sharing their days and thoughts… it’s so genuine and sweet. You can definitely tell Sean and Mark have a high regard for quality time in regard to friendships
When Sean said that Mark is one of his favorite people in the world, it melted me a bit. I love this friendship so much and so respect what both these men do for people around them.
"I try reading and my ADHD brain wanders way too much". I feel this on so many levels. If something doesn't grab my attention entirely or give me things to do is very difficult. I tend to find my peace playing table top games. Board games, card games, etc. It keeps my brain happy and good family activity.
Literally one book series has been able to hold onto my attention to get me to read the whole thing multiple times over within like a month rather than putting it down for weeks, reading it for two hours, and then leaving it again. That’s the Wings of Fire series. I grew up with it, and I have good memories of it.

I agree, and Game Grumps has been doing it for years! there's hours and hours of content on Game Grumps Compilations of them just talking about something other than the video games they're playing and it's really nice to idly listen to. I like to watch the Sleep Aid videos because they are the longest.
this is why i like channels like OneyPlays, Game Grumps, and so on because that's essentially what they are. the games for the most part are basically just a background visual for viewers to watch while they listen to people talk about whatever and it's cool
Not playing a game but I love Drawfee because it's just some friends chatting whilst drawing. I find it so entertaining and now I just want to sit and draw with my friends irl or online.
@@hopathor 31:10 Jack brings up Creator Clash (an event where content creators got together to raise money for charities by boxing each other), and Mark brings up the dangers of boxing.
It's really refreshing and cool to see adults acting like adults and having deep and meaningful conversation. Even as a teen, I recognize how nowadays even adult content creators are often so immature and obsessed with views and likes that it interferes with their emotional growth. It's really cool to see how you two and other creators like Felix have grown strong morals and philosophical beliefs to live by, while also balancing your jobs and hobbies, and remaining fun and entertaining to watch. You are truly great role models. Thanks for being part of my childhood. ❤️💚
@mushroomy06 Absolutely agree. The ADULT content creators trying to "keep up with" their younger audiences is cringey and baffling to me. While Mark, Jack and even Pewds seem to keep it neutral/general gaming content. I haven't yet, and wont watch, a Mr.Beast vid. Cause I don't care for that content or that type of person. As an "average" person, why in the world would I care to see some snob waste their money on whatever bullshit they can think of?? @@brambleon I get not liking content (I personally find Mr. Beast and FusionZgamer content annoying) but that's no reason to call someone awful. 19:00 it really makes me feel better to know Mark gets the whole time thing because I have periods where I can't keep up with his videos as much as i used to or would like to. But i was there for [Redacted] and premieres of In Space With Markiplier part 1 and 2 and i pop in here and there cuz I really do admire him as a creator and love what he does, just can't be as involved as i used to be able to be😅
I can really relate to this and for this reason of time. I normally just add all of his uploads to my watch later which now has over 30 videos in many of mark and I just try and binge watch as many of them as I can or until I get bored... 🙂
Same actually. I am always there for the big steps, like Unus Annus (even though even then I had a period in the middle of it when I was behind by a few videos for a longer time) and stuff like Space because it is impactful. I do keep Marks videos with the other 'important' videos and watch them regularly, but I am not up to date at all times. Sometimes I fall into another rabbit hole and Mark takes a backseat for a while. I will still be here and watch everything at some point, just... not right when things come out. And sometimes I just need to start binging that new thing I just discovered for myself or go back to something older I have been out of touch with for a while, like for a few weeks or something before my focus shifts back.
I've always ever been a youtube-only kind of person, and I entirely relate to phasing in and out of different kinds of creators and videos. Things change, my preference changes, and every now and again I'll rediscover a youtuber or thing I adored watching ages ago and it's always a thrill to rewatch them or see how they're doing nowadays.
I dont have problems with my family but watching mark has helped me learn english, im not perfect at it but he really helped me learn the language so im grateful for that.
Can we have Lixian as a guest at some point? I'd love to hear more of the story between you two and his thoughts on his work and how he feels about his contributions to your channel. Plus interactions beyond just you and his avatar are rare. I think it would be nice
Sean and Mark are two “old school” youtube gamers i still watch on and off and keep coming back to. And i think that has to do with even if they have a big platform at BOTH OF THEIR CORES they’re both Humble and Caring people and have never lost that even with their massive followings. Also lmao @ 15:46 that’s LITERALLY matpat and what he and stephanie do for a living and its not wrong. Just different
I agree it’s not bad it’s just took me a while to even bond with their channel because I have a thing I like to stay within the same range of channels that I have so I don’t subscribe very often and I only have certain amount of people that I regularly follow like Jack and Mark clearly but when it comes to Matt Pat and Stephanie I had a really hard time getting attached because I could feel like how much they were analyzing everything it’s not like they don’t care it’s just it’s kind of hard to get attached
I have been on TH-cam for 14 years, and I am by no means a popular creator, I don't post often so I don't do it for a job or anything like that. But since I have been posting I never really cared what anyone thought, I never went after what they would want from me to gain more views. Same thing, I'm on TikTok and I don't go for the views or the subscribers. I just enjoy making videos and informing people about certain things so that is what I post. I have always loved what you and Jack have posted, never cared if you changed it up or not. I was following for the energy, the honesty, the journey, and the joy you both spread. I appreciate the hard work you both put in every video you create. I did lose track for a while of both of you because I wasn't in a good head space but just the same still love you both!!! I'll keep following, watching and commenting as long as you two keep posting and being yourselves. Thank you!!
Just wanted to point out I like the little border. It switches to red for Mark's view and green for Jack's view and goes around their beutiful mugs. It's such a little detail but gives so much character to the video of Mark and Jack just blabbering about their feelings. I feel so much with you both. Been watching you since 8 years now and really, your words mean so much for me, and video games just mean so much for me, and the way you bring me into these worlds and make me laugh really changed me as a person.
Bro the video just released, you haven't watched any of it yet. This comment farm account is honestly kind of annoying at this point. I miss Justin Y :(

I find it hilarious that these really silly and fun TH-camrs who constantly call themselves stupid have such incredibly profound conversations together. Love to you both hanging out!
I don’t know what it is but listening to jack talk about building legos is just so intensely relatable, as someone who struggles with adhd I know it can be a challenge but it truly makes me feel less alone hearing this
When Sean said Mark was genuinely one of his favorite people, it made my heart squeeze. It reminds me of how I am with my best friends since we don't talk very often.
I mean yea, they've been friends for a LONG time - the reason iirc that they stopped is because they were getting uncomfortable with the people shipping them together... (which is gross that people ship irl people)
As an optician who has given care to somebody who’s been pepper sprayed, I can say pepper spray CAN cause permanent damage if you don’t clean your eyes ASAP. The chemicals in the pepper spray can cause permanent damage to the cornea.
It's a minor detail, but changing the border from red to green and which webcam it goes around when they switch perspectives is such a brilliant touch. Big props to whoever came up with that, I really love that idea! (And also may 'take inspiration' at some point if I use multiple people's perspectives so thanks in advance)
@@Oden41785 Didn't want to assume since I know multiple editors work on these videos, but if it was him then we can add that to the countless brilliant edits he's made! (including the iconic superbunnyman intro, still probably my favourite so far)
Too often when conversations like this happen the people talk over each other and don't let each other finish their points. It was so refreshing hearing two people listen to each other and have a steady back and forth like this.
it's easy to not talk over someone when you agree implicitly with what their saying. these two for the most part agree exactly with what the other person is saying
I love how these two are so honest. It's what makes Sean and Mark so likable in my opinion. Yes, they're great content creators. Yes, they're hilarious people. However, things like this let me as a fan know that they care about our interactions with them. I've watched these two for almost 8 years and they have both grown so much and even through all of that they still care about us too. That's why I keep watching them.
I didn't start watching Markiplier until a few months ago, because he usually focuses a lot on horror and I know myself to be a coward so I didn't think I could handle it. But his style of videos surprised me, not so much that they were unique, but in a way that was so comfortable, like we're all just a big friend group watching him play games at a sleepover. He had me actively searching for things I wouldn't have tried otherwise. New fan or old fan, I think it's cool to see where Mark's head is at and he views not only himself, but what he does, and what it does for the people around him
Yeah! I’ve been watching for years and years and it’s always been this way. Welcome!! 🎉 Mark’s a good human being and introspection’s always been common on this channel. Watching him develop as I develop has been an amazing experience and I hope you find joy in his non-horror content! 😄
as someone who's been watching mark since i was in 5th grade (now a sophmore in college) i want to say welcome !! i hope you enjoy marks videos just as much as i do and that you continue to support our big man child that is markiplier xD
I used to watch Mark and Jack every day when I came home from school. After, I found myself drifting away from them like old friends. The Powerwash series got me back into it recently, and hearing Mark say "I've wondered to myself if I should quit" really broke my heart, cuz then I wouldn't have had this old friend to come back to and all this nostalgia to relive. It's great to see these two are still getting along as well Love you Mark!
This discussion feels like I’m having a conversation with close friends even though I’ve never met either of them before. I feel like I learned more than I ever have in school because calm discussions and debates are how I retain information. I can’t wait to see what else comes out of this series.
Ebikes are awesome. We have 2. They have their problems, but they're a fraction of the problems of any of the alternatives. The world needs more of them.
I REALLY like the editing here, with both cameras being high quality and showing each others view and singalling whose view it is with the little border, looks very professional and adds to the relaxation
I think this series is going to be good for everyone, Mark and the guest are able to speak their mind without needing to really focus on something and the viewers get to listen and learn about what goes on in their minds
Rewatching this as this is just one of my favorite videos. Would love to get an entire podcast with Mark and Jack just chatting with each other about things that comes to their minds/whatever they want to. I’d listen to it all day, don’t get me wrong I love distractible but would love a podcast with just Mark and Jack
I’ve come to realize that TH-cam is essentially my “television”, besides watching anime on the side. I mainly watch Mark and Sean, among other channels relating to tabletop/ video games, but otherwise the channels that stray from that content I find in my notifications or in the recomendable page. Both of you (Mark and Sean) have essentially been a part of my life since I was still in elementary school, as I’ve devoted time to watching your videos in a very similar way to how someone might watch a TV show, and it’s been awesome to see your growth as a channel and how your views change
I agree 100% with you I also devoted my time because I love to see them grow they are very inspiring as people. And they are very comforting to watch if I need it and I love that they want to connect with there fans personally it just shows how much they care!
TH-cam succeeded then; You probably remember the old logo had a TV in it, and "tube" is a very old slang for TV. Something to do with the components of classic TVs.
48:35 When “In Space With Markiplier” came out and i experienced it i went back to all the other amazing stories told by mark. I saw how in “A Date With Markiplier” it was very low budget and with a group of friends that it made me ambitious to start my own film project. I get inspired my Mark every-time a new project comes out and im very grateful for finding his channel many years ago. He saved me from a dark time and keeps me inspired to follow my dreams and ambitions. Thank you mark.
I think our inner child never really leaves, its just our toys becomes bigger and more expensive. The feeling of putting yourself in a childlike state while doing the stuff you like such as hobbies really is the best feeling and not worry about the world and more serious stuff. Its like going inside your own zone, your own world and just let your mind rest.
I feel like people just forgot this video existed once the Cloak-Twitter stuff happened. Like Sean literally said they both go on parallel paths that intersect occasionally and Mark AGREED. There is no drifting apart, life just "got in the way." They BOTH have huge projects, they both live on opposite ends of the planet, there are HUGE factors here that everyone disregarded for the Hysteria Train on Reddit and Twitter. And either way, they're adults. They can do whatever they want.
This is really interesting. Full transparency, I stopped watching Jack’s content about a year ago after watching him since 2014 because his editing was no longer what I liked about him, among other things, but this video reminded me why I liked him in the first place. You’re both from a time where everything is genuine, no one asked for subs or made content based on algorithmic statistics, which made your videos feel more personal and real. As a kid I really connected with both of you because it felt like I was watching a friend mess around and make me laugh, and I developed a sense of humour that I’m proud to have. I miss when youtube was like that, but times have changed, but you guys haven’t. I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you for being who you are, both of you are so genuine and real and you represent a better and simpler time.
Same here, I still watch Jack every now and then because I truly love his personality and because I grew up with him for almost 10 years at this point and he's helped me so much when I was 13-14, but I guess it's because we also grew up so we don't really relate to him as much anymore and it's really not the same anymore. 2014 was such a good year, it felt like everybody on here was genuine and it truly felt like a community for different and unique creative youtubers to just come together and act like a family. Now it doesn't as it's all about competition and who's the best youtuber out there when it's so much more. Mark and Jack are still the same, loveable and genuine goofballs I grew up watching and having this conversation felt like such old times
Same here too. Whenever this kind of video pops up, I suddenly realize why I previously loved Jack and his videos that much, and that really feels weird (due to little bit of confusion & huge nostalgia and stuff) yet makes me proud. I don't watch him anymore now, but I'm still subscribing him, bc I appreciate his sweet and genuine personality and man I love how he's grown up almost just the way he is.
now this. This is the "content" and "podcast" I'm happy to stumble across. discussing the algorithms, discussing fans and being too big, relaxing and just chatting with friends. Sincerely, I know you know this already, but hearing a creator being aware that it's people, real people you've never met, that you care about. You actually care about. like truly and deeply, it's no surprise, both the "fan bases" are so fanatic and supportive.
Being "fanatic" isn't a good thing. Not their fault people are obnoxious and pretend strangers are their friends but both fanbases have a lot of cringe kids. It's not the K-Pop of TH-camrs thankfully (lol) but it's all way too parasocial for me.
Agreed one hundred percent. The comment on how well in some cases people will just say they will support no matter what and for example asking twitter for support could be poisonous,as mark said confirmation bias. Much respect to have so much conscience while well, this big haha.
Hey! Did you know God is three in one!? The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit! Bless him! Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him! True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better!
Your worries (yes, anxiety), depression, suicidal thoughts, EVERYTHING will melt away and be NO MORE when you lean on God and put your trust in him!! When I have physical pain, I literally pray and the Lord quells it, that I am healed!! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! People are bothered by his name. The world hates the truth and wants to continue living sinfully! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous.
It's insane to see how mature these guys are because when you're watching them play a game is so easy to think they're just a class clown type, but I quite literally grew up with them. I have nothing but admiration and respect for these 2 people and I wish y'all nothing but the best in life I strongly hope everything continues to go well for you in life
I've watched both Mark and Jack since their first year. Being in my mid 20s now, I can't imagine these last 10 years without them. Both of their content has been such a joy to watch, and it's a privilege to be part of such a loving community. Thank you both for creating everything you do and being such good humans as well.
Came from the Ethan video immediately and love how each of these so far go in depth about something this one focuses on really how TH-cam has changed and its like an algorithm thing and the other one is about each other and how far they’ve came I love Jack and Marks chemistry miss the both of them and this was nice to watch reminds me of when they played games together can’t wait for the next one keep it up Mark!
When Sean said he started playing with Lego to satisfy his ADHD brain, I felt that because I’ve been doing the same thing for my entire life and never really thought about why building Lego satisfied that itch. Edit: I have been informed that it is LEGO and not LEGOS
Honestly though! I don't know if you feel the same, but I personally find it super relaxing as well. So easy to have your own controlled environment where you can just build what your brain feels like building

I legitimately started skateboarding for a very similar reason as to Marks reason for E-cycling. That makes me incredibly happy. It's genuinely so nice to watch a video like this and I wish more such as this would be pushed into my recommendation feed. This has to be the most physically and psychologically satisfying video I have consumed into my eyes and ears in a long time.
I think this really shows a level of vulnerability that we dont get to see often because theyre both big youtubers, growing up and both of these amazing men being my safe place is something that has formed me into who I am today. You know they say oh we’re just grouchy old men but honestly they’ve just grown up like the rest of us have. And seeing the bond that these two still have to this day 10 years later is so comforting. Thank you Mark and Sean. For being the big brothers I never had ❤️💚

I didn't start watching Markiplier until a few months ago, because he usually focuses a lot on horror and I know myself to be a coward so I didn't think I could handle it. as someone who's been watching mark since i was in 5th grade (now a sophmore in college) i want to say welcome !! i hope you enjoy marks videos just as much as i do and that you continue to support our big man child that is markiplier xD
It's great to see these two are still getting along as well
Love you Mark!
I also watched them back in the day and then I stopped for like 5 years. I just came back around to watching mark about a year ago and I’m 25 now!
Fell asleep for a bit, woke up to Sean talking about how hairy his ass is. Love you guys lol
That is pretty much what I expected when I came here and I love love it

This discussion feels like I’m having a conversation with close friends even though I’ve never met either of them before. I feel like I learned more than I ever have in school because calm discussions and debates are how I retain information. I can’t wait to see what else comes out of this series.
Right? I love how open-minded their discussion is.
Couldn't have said t better
Ebikes are awesome. We have 2. They have their problems, but they're a fraction of the problems of any of the alternatives. The world needs more of them.

Dude, don’t response to bots.
I REALLY like the editing here, with both cameras being high quality and showing each others view and singalling whose view it is with the little border, looks very professional and adds to the relaxation
@Logan Roof News get out of here you bot
Props to Rachel and Lixian
I think this series is going to be good for everyone, Mark and the guest are able to speak their mind without needing to really focus on something and the viewers get to listen and learn about what goes on in their minds
Guest?
And they are very comforting to watch if I need it and I love that they want to connect with there fans personally it just shows how much they care!
lmao anime
Does anyone actually watch TV nowdays? I don't find anything entertaining in those shows.
@@Aiden-hd8hw Streaming services count as TV, since you can find former and current cable shows there.
TH-cam succeeded then; You probably remember the old logo had a TV in it, and "tube" is a very old slang for TV. Something to do with the components of classic TVs.
This was just a 1-hr one-on-one podcast with Mark and Sean, with a satisfying game playing in the background. I love it.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Genuinely think that Mark should invite guests to the Distractible podcast, Seán being one amongst many 😁
I usually don’t listen to this type of content but this has refreshing conversations and is just a satisfying video overall
Indeed
48:35 When “In Space With
Markiplier” came out and i experienced it i went back to all the other amazing stories told by mark.

Exactly this! Them talking about stuff like fanbase interaction at their scale, is very refreshing

A genuine conversation can really be entertaining, not even because they're big youtubers but because how it connects with the viewers.

Who's Ethan?
When Sean said he started playing with Lego to satisfy his ADHD brain, I felt that because I’ve been doing the same thing for my entire life and never really thought about why building Lego satisfied that itch.
Edit: I have been informed that it is LEGO and not LEGOS
