There's just something about Ancient Egypt. For me, it's the sheer sense of age. Cleopatra was born closer to Pizza Hut being founded than she was to the Great Pyramid of Giza being built. Ancient Egypt spanned an almost incomprehensibly vast period of time that makes our heads hurt just to try and understand. We know so much about it and yet it still remains almost unknowable. This great civilisation that stood for thousands of years in one of the most inhospitable terrains humans have ever inhabited, that flowed and changed constantly and yet remained itself-it's incredible.
They were integrated and in touch with aliens for sure. The powers that be know this but they won’t admit it to the mass public. There’s a theory that they built the great pyramids with vibrations that could completely reverse gravity, that the blocks were floated on top of one another through sound/frequency vibrations. Even in the game when you activate the ancient mechanism you are told that your reality is just your perception of reality, and it suits those in power to keep you under illusion of that perception, even though it’s just a storyline I think the developers were also trying to make the audience think too, as there is a lot of truth to that back then, and in modern times.
@@thetruthseeker3198 AC storyline is based on several conspiration theories, but they are nothing more that that : wacky conspiracy theories. There is no need of alien to explain what this great civilization did and thinking that they weren't able to do that by their own is quite a spit on their face.
@@ParlonsAstronomie there’s no proof either way, so neither view if a matter of fact. Open minded people would ponder all possibilities even if they go against their own perceptions of reality.
@@thetruthseeker3198 When their is no proof we must choose the explanation that is based on the least amount of assumptions. Here it is that they were able to do it. Choosing the most unlikely explanation is not being open minded, but jumping to conclusion. Moreover, we have proof that they were able to do it. They have built tons of pyramids and proto-pyramids before the great pyramid of Cheops, which permits to evaluate their progression into pyramid building through centuries. At first they were mastaba, then step pyramid, then the bent pyramid that was a failure of smooth-sided pyramid and finally the red pyramid (first smooth-sided pyramid). We can witness that it took centuries of trial and error to master pyramid building.

One of the best gaming experiences ever. This game has so much love put to it by its creators, in every single aspect. It's a milestone for Ubisoft as far as I'm concerned. Valhalla can be a close second. Awesome game. Just awesome.

This game had an odd, warm feeling to it. Traversing the sands and exploring the wastelands, mingling in with the folks at populated areas. This is the closest Assassin's creed has been to an adventure game. And I loved the adventures!
this game was incredible and certainly thanks to the first music which immediately catch you in ancient egypt. The music catch the mystycism which surround this period and this country. It's like an invitation to play, it really peacefully catch you into an other world. First time I heard it I was telling to myself... ok what's this!? I let the music just to hear where it will drive me. And finally I heard cello, certainly guitarre (with distorsion), chorus..., it sounds familiar and it links to the present. In the same time, the work on harmony is relaly detailed, looks (or maybe hears) like egyptian/oriental music. It's smart, smooth and in the same time really dynamic. with a good use of silence in the start, in order to present you each theme, and then they progressively all enter in the music, producing a wonderfull mix. It's probably one of the best music about egypt I heard. It's really an amazing job, and I almost never say it about a film or a video game OST. To Sarah Schachner, you are really one of the best composer in this world!
i dont know why but Origins FELT PURE i cant even explain it but the soundtrack the aestetich and the overall feel when you play the game was most unique. Oddysey is great and all but it lacks those feels....
odyssey was a disappointment. Valhalla is a great viking game but a bad AC game. They should stop naming them AC games, origins was the last AC game. To be fair I'm glad valhalla brought back some classic AC elements like stealth and hidden blade

The depth of each instrument is so beautiful, too. And the vocals are mesmerizing. I seriously love every song!

Really really interesting approach to scoring a game set in Ancient Egypt, with no clear musical clues. I didn't expect all the synths and the dissonant drones, very very stylistically different and unique. I expected a lot of traditional instruments and the likes, but the synthesized layers add a superb feel to it! Especially on 'Bayek of Siwa', at 05:49. So unique, I just can't wrap my head around it, as a musician. Loved this soundtrack and the character it has. Really underappreciated, I feel, because all AC fans remember are Jesper's works. While he is a legendary composer in his own right, let's appreciate the individuality of each game too! Same goes for Austin Wintory's scores, for AC : Sydicate
Great atmospheric soundtrack. Has kind of a dark and mystical vibe to it, perfect to describe the dangerous but fascinating landscape of ancient Egypt. Some of the synth sounds remind me of the 80s as well.
I love movies and the history of Egypt. I was so excited when I found out that this game was based in Egypt. The clothing, language, and history just fascinates me

Adam James Williams-Kilburn the great thou about this version of Ezio's family is that it had its own identity and IS ACTUALLY GOOD. The other ones from rogue, unity or syndicate were clearly mimicking the original one.

This game is just amazing! Bayek is one of my favorite Assassin’s Creed protagonists.
Now I want to visit Egypt and visit those ancient site, because of this game. It is a life goal to atleast visit this ancient country once, when I visit and examine burial sites, pyramids and other places, I will turn this soundtrack on and then cry.
Same here, but idk when to travel. It would be so cool if by accident, when I travel down there, I would hear someone play this soundtrack lol
It's nothing like it used to be sadly
Imagine finding the burial site of the last eqyptian medjay somewhere during your visit....🤯🤯🤯🤯

Because RPG, Bayek is Bayek, but Kassandra/Alexios is "your answer" you know what i mean ? ^^

You know I spent days looking at the surroundings before I even started the game it's so beautiful walking slowly with you camel on the dunes. I can't afford to travel to Egypt but this game made me feel like I was there. Its so beautiful thank you devs and Ubisoft
And to see creepy illusion and hallucinations too 😅
There's just something about Ancient Egypt.
@@thetruthseeker3198 🗿
We can witness that it took centuries of trial and error to master pyramid building.
can't believe they put that ezio's family ost **cry's in nostalgia**
Ezio's Family is probably the most inappropriate piece for the fucking Ancient Egypt, lol
I cried too... and lighted up the PS 4 for another AC 2 :D
Ramiz S Oh stfu. It's a fan favorite piece, and it was altered to fit the setting, Quit whining
gave me instant chills ! :')
OMG it was not just me :P
Probably the most atmospheric game of this generation about to pass. For anyone who loves Egypt, desert and exploration this is the bee's knees in honey.
God I love this game. I spent countless hours running around aimlessly just listening to the music and exploring. I completed every quest, beat every enemy, anything I could. All the AC games have a special spot in my heart but Origins is in a class of its own. I adore this game.
35:03 these drums gives goosebumps..a great creativity from the composer.
exactly
I love origins so much that I have to listen to this while I study. It's so relaxing and mesmerizing. This game will remain my favorite assassin's creed. ❤
I always loved ancient Egypt history, when I played this game for the first time I almost cried.... and the discovery mode was just the ice on the cake... wonderful...
Sarah Schachner Thank you very much for your hard and passionate work on this masterpiece!
This music is amazing.
PS- Ezio’s Family (Origins Version) is Ear-Gasm.

Bayek of Siwa is the best track in my opinion. It captures feeling of ancient Egypt and main character very well.
Thank you, Sarah Schachner, for the great trail you left here. I love your music more than I love the game and the game is dope

That shit right there sold me on Origins. When i saw the outro for Origins with Ezio's Family (AKA THE Assassins Creed theme song) i knew that this was truly the first good AC in a long long while. It felt like seeing an old friend. I missed that AC, glad i got it back.
And it's gone again
Origins was the only ac game that actually felt like an ac game in the last 7 years. It's a shame ubisoft got greedy...they have unreal potential
@@rover5058 All of the AC games recently still have an important impact on the franchise, just because you don’t play as an assassin doesn’t mean it can’t be part of the franchise, especially when the newer games have expanded on Isu lore
Will never ever get bored of the Origins soundtrack. In my opinion it's the very best OST so far in the AC franchise. I keep finding myself coming back to listen to it over and over again. Thank you!
One of the best gaming experiences ever. This game has so much love put to it by its creators, in every single aspect. It's a milestone for Ubisoft as far as I'm concerned. Valhalla can be a close second. Awesome game. Just awesome.
1. Origins
2. ll
3. Black Flag
4. Oddisey
5. Syndicate

104. Valhalla
Schachner is so talented! The music matches the game!
I love the fact that Sarah's mix ambiance of ancient Egypt and the new music. That just en masterpiece, this feat perfectly with the history of animus, in our time but temporal travel to Egypt... I love, I love.
Pure goosebumps! For me, Origins had one of the best atmospheres ever
I still miss Jesper Kyd, but I like what I’m hearing so far ;)
Splat jesper kyd is a god.Just listen to assasins creed 2 soundtrack.Just go and listen to darksiders 2 ...war vs death, the guardian or plains of death theme s.So underrated as a game with such a beautiful music. But you are right...this one is good too
ı totally agree with you.
Splat jesper Kyd hasn't been making music for the assassins creed franchise for years now
Austin Wintory made the music for Syndicate, and it's amazing. Highly recommended to listen to the soundtrack. The pub songs are so fun to sing.
you said it all
Sarah Schachner work is some of my favorite. COD MW, Prey (2022), and AC Origins.
the "feeling" of this game is so unique.
200% true, but I liked the story of Odyssey. Just the story sadly...
Ancient Egypt has that affect on people it truly is a land of mystery.
odyssey was a disappointment. Valhalla is a great viking game but a bad AC game. They should stop naming them AC games, origins was the last AC game. To be fair I'm glad valhalla brought back some classic AC elements like stealth and hidden blade
@@Kingofgondor4619 this game wasn't set in ancient egypt

What's a leitmotif?
@@ubayyd Check out the youtube channel sideways
@@ubayyd it's a recurring melody in an album or soundtrack, usually used to tie things thematically together. You can hear it in that acid-guitar-y sounding background instrument in the opening theme.
Good observation bruv
This is one of the absolute best game soundtracks I've heard. It's up there with Skyrim Elder Scrolls. The emotion conveyed in each track, from the calm to the vigilant, is so purely portrayed. The depth of each instrument is so beautiful, too. And the vocals are mesmerizing. I seriously love every song!
Nothing can beat this AC game feel, soundtrack and overall being one of the better open world games I have played
This game was incredible...i enjoyed it a lot. It's underrated honestly
35:30 love it
I wish I could erase my memory just so I could play this game again as if it were the first time and experience it all over again.

What do you mean? Ac has always had Sci-fi mixed in their music to allude to the animus/isu.
This soundtrack is amazing. Sarah Schachner did a truly fantastic job.
The clothing, language, and history just fascinates me
I have good memories of this game. Soundtrack is amazing and sets the ambience very well.

Origins was my first AC game. So greatly done. Ubisoft really took it's time exploring egyptian life and history.
Origins was a complete class apart with its storyline, scenery, gameplay and Egypt itself has such a vibrant, deep, mysterious, harsh, and beautiful history at the same time. I absolutely love Origins and now eagerly waiting for Mirage. Music of the game is so captivating and it feels just right with the missions and gameplays. Not sure about if others noticed, I loved all the little tricks they added in such as the mirage that happens when you're in the desert and you see all from Bayek's past and unconscious thoughts coming to life in brinks of seconds. Origins was just amazing in every aspects. @Ubisoft please bring similar story back or another ancient or mysterious background of Egypt.
Origins was a masterpiece. True masterpiece.
I agree with you! Masterpiece!
When I went on Origins the other day and opened the in game menu for the first time and Ezios Family played, I was really glad it was included in the game, thank you Sarah Schachner 😄👍👌
Adam James Williams-Kilburn the great thou about this version of Ezio's family is that it had its own identity and IS ACTUALLY GOOD. The other ones from rogue, unity or syndicate were clearly mimicking the original one.
Ezio's family are descendants of the "Hidden Ones", or more specifically, Aya.
She created a Hidden Ones base in Italy after assassinating Ceasar and stayed there for almost the remainder of her life.
When she died, she was buried next to Bayek in the Qattara Depression. It all comes full circle in the franchise.
Aya and Ezio's family share the same blood and the same burden.
