Could I say something here? Mystery Inc. was a good show. It was, however, darker and edgy version of Scooby Doo. Now, while that's great for the 48 years old fan I am, I doubt I'd let the 3 year old me watch it. You see, it was the 3 year old me who first fell in love with Scooby Doo, Where are you? and made me a fan. If we don't get young children falling in love with Scooby Doo, then it's going to die and be forgotten. Which I think was the reasons for Be Cool and Guess Who, they were aimed at more child friendly audience. That said, I think that it's funny enough, with in-jokes and tongue-in-cheek humour to appeal to adults. So, yes I liked it when it first came out. The worst version of Scooby Doo was when Fred, Daphne and Velma were dropped and the format changed to three comedy shorts, like The All New Popeye Show. Velma is NOT Scooby Doo.
@@nightwish1453 This is true and also in Scotland we often don't know who the celebs are, but hey, at least Fred, Daphne and Velma are still themselves and the art work harks back to the original series.

Secret- Jon and I decided to only allow Scooby to say a maximum of 4 words. I think we broke the rule once, but one of the other directors who finished the series didn’t follow it. But now that you know, makes it funnier. We liked keeping him to those rules!
Perhaps I treated this show too harshly. After Velma came out and witnessing all of the unspeakable horrors from that garbage, I feel like I should rewatch this again so I can refresh my memory on what a decent Scooby-Doo show looks like
Honestly, Be Cool was probably the best follow up to Mystery Inc, and no one realized it at the time because of how good Mystery Inc was. But imagine if they'd try to follow it up with another story heavy drama Scooby Doo, it would be hard to live up to its predecessor
if nothing else the villain chasing gang bit and the Shaggy and Scoob trolling villain bit still remain sensationally creative and funny. It's just the moment to moment stuff around it that feels either Family Guy or Simpsons tier setup and plot navigation
what’s really scary this mirror is that there actually parallel universes that they thought its just a plain old mirror make fun of but turnsout its real because these two mystery inc teens are not aware each other 0:09 both fred’s horrified each other and calling each other ugly
Be cool, Scooby Doo, is a much better adaptation of Mystery Inc than Velma, and has much more respect for the source material. Yes, they throw their own flavor in there, but it wouldn't be interesting if they didn't. However, even with their personal touch, Be Cool, Scooby Doo does the original show justice. Velma did not do this, *AT ALL.* If you want to make Shaggy black, Velma Indian or Asian or whatever, and make Daphne bi, that's fine, go for it, but you have to look at the original show, research it, find out what worked and what fans liked about it, and incorporate some of those elements into your show. Velma did not do this, *AT ALL.* The show might as well have been called Mindy, since it was basically a show about her high school experience, dressed up with Mystery Inc clothes and some of the names, a little bit of mystery solving, and *NOTHING ELSE.* It deserves all the hate being thrown at it and I hope Mindy Kaling understands the gravity of what she has done.
I don't care about them changing their skin colour or ethnicity but my god, how do they manage to write some of the most mean-spirited, spiteful characters ever put to animation?
THIS is by far the BEST Scooby Doo EVER. Not sure why people whinge about the artform when it was never anything special in any other version of Scooby Doo in the first place. 'Be Cool, Scooby Doo' is far more superior to anything prior or that has ever come afterwards, it's well written, funny and makes total use of all characters, personslities and voices. Scooby Doo as a dog is the funniest he's ever been. It's both hilarious and brilliant. We need it back ASAP!

Im Mocking it Because it genualy its not a good show.
Like unless they officially make velma An Antagonist things would make sence.
I do take a bit of issue with guess who as the cast get pushed aside epescilly Fred, Velma and daphne. It puts a bit too much focus on the cameos
@@nightwish1453 This is true and also in Scotland we often don't know who the celebs are, but hey, at least Fred, Daphne and Velma are still themselves and the art work harks back to the original series.
@@MorristheMinor yeah at least those three are themselves however there more so based on their clssic iterations which for fred and daphne that is a bit of a backstep due to how boring they can be at times, guess who just makes a them a bit more lively and that's about it which compared to the shows inbetween it's a bit of a downgrade for them
2:49 this joke singlehandedly made me laugh harder than i ever have in my life
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo's artstyle mixes Recess and Family Guy.
This show was like Ghostbusters 2, after seeing the 2016 Ghostbusters. It didn't seem as good at the time, but when something followed it, that really sucks, you begin to really appreciate how good it actually was.
i remember around when it first came out i binge watched it all when i was sick and i didn’t mind it but it wasn’t my favourite. rewatching it now this is easily one of my favourite scooby doo series, the jokes and the timing is impeccable
The wedding photo takeout with the meteoris actually so fucking funny.
1:24 is golden
Something about 8:39
“HINT: no likey wawa” from scooby is so freaking funny I cant
Secret- Jon and I decided to only allow Scooby to say a maximum of 4 words. I think we broke the rule once, but one of the other directors who finished the series didn’t follow it. But now that you know, makes it funnier. We liked keeping him to those rules!
0:07 funny enough they would go back to looking like that in Scooby doo guess who.
1:20 was that just a jab at Thor losing Mjolnier and getting stormbreaker
Nolan north as Phoenix Wright is something I need to see now like he has the blue suit and everything! Plus 15:01 feels very Ace attorney like
Perhaps I treated you too harshly
6:37 “HE CALLED US THE M WORD”😂😂😂😂😂😂
i was NOT expecting that at 2:40
This show was amazing!
I love how the public reaction to Velma was “Perhaps I treated Be Cool too harshly”
1:46 that was funny
Funny how this velma is so awful that it makes the previous “worst” scooby doo show look like a masterpiece
But it isn't. People just hated it because of the artstyle.
@@jeremyusreevu237 which part? The masterpiece or the worst?
Perhaps I treated this show too harshly. After Velma came out and witnessing all of the unspeakable horrors from that garbage, I feel like I should rewatch this again so I can refresh my memory on what a decent Scooby-Doo show looks like
4:18 OKAY THAT WAS A GOOD ONE!
Honestly, Be Cool was probably the best follow up to Mystery Inc, and no one realized it at the time because of how good Mystery Inc was. But imagine if they'd try to follow it up with another story heavy drama Scooby Doo, it would be hard to live up to its predecessor
15:12 ... Why do I get serious Phoenix Wright flashbacks?
if nothing else the villain chasing gang bit and the Shaggy and Scoob trolling villain bit still remain sensationally creative and funny. It's just the moment to moment stuff around it that feels either Family Guy or Simpsons tier setup and plot navigation
16:45 Imagine Velma's Velma becoming bald 🦲👨🦲
lmao
0:52 😂😂she saw into the future people
what’s really scary this mirror is that there actually parallel universes that they thought its just a plain old mirror make fun of but turnsout its real
because these two mystery inc teens are not aware each other
0:09 both fred’s horrified each other and calling each other ugly
"nope. Yep. And meddling. Though I'm not sure in what context he'll use that last one" ....breh 🤣 top tier foreshadowing
They weren’t even trying to be subtle with it. So goddamn funny. Lol.
“We’ve been desensitized to Norse weaponry under 3-feet long”
Wow, we really owe this show an apology.
I love Daphne's irony hat🤣
Be cool, Scooby Doo, is a much better adaptation of Mystery Inc than Velma, and has much more respect for the source material. Yes, they throw their own flavor in there, but it wouldn't be interesting if they didn't. However, even with their personal touch, Be Cool, Scooby Doo does the original show justice. Velma did not do this, *AT ALL.*
If you want to make Shaggy black, Velma Indian or Asian or whatever, and make Daphne bi, that's fine, go for it, but you have to look at the original show, research it, find out what worked and what fans liked about it, and incorporate some of those elements into your show. Velma did not do this, *AT ALL.*
The show might as well have been called Mindy, since it was basically a show about her high school experience, dressed up with Mystery Inc clothes and some of the names, a little bit of mystery solving, and *NOTHING ELSE.* It deserves all the hate being thrown at it and I hope Mindy Kaling understands the gravity of what she has done.
I don't care about them changing their skin colour or ethnicity but my god, how do they manage to write some of the most mean-spirited, spiteful characters ever put to animation?
@Nicholas Thompson *EXACTLY*
Give "be cool, scooby-doo" this, at least it's trying to be its own thing while still following the same formula of the original.
If Frank Welker isn't playing Fred, apporach with caution
I just liked Be Cool’s batshit crazy version of Daphne. Wish other iterations would have kept that
I love how you drew "Velma" in the family guy style and the REAL Velma in the original style to show whos the REAL joke
I actually enjoy the show, people only didn’t like it because of its family guy art style, but imo it makes the jokes better
Yup
Needs a perfectly cut scream compilation
12:22
How'd the rest of the gang get there?

THIS is by far the BEST Scooby Doo EVER. Not sure why people whinge about the artform when it was never anything special in any other version of Scooby Doo in the first place. 'Be Cool, Scooby Doo' is far more superior to anything prior or that has ever come afterwards, it's well written, funny and makes total use of all characters, personslities and voices. Scooby Doo as a dog is the funniest he's ever been. It's both hilarious and brilliant. We need it back ASAP!
Gags like Scooby-Doo as Yoko Ono is exactly why I love this show so much.
The answer is yes it’s still cool to mock Velma
I remember seeing a bunch of adverts for this show but never actually saw it air until I saw reruns of it on boomerang. Even then I thought it was pretty alright as far as Scooby doo goes
0:45 why did this give trauma
Wow kinda crazy this show was actually hilarious and stuck to the tropes of Scooby Doo having its own spin on it and the characters. The designs is the thing that threw me off and I only watched like 1-2 episodes. A solid show it looks like
7:32 Its pretty absurd.
A traffic violation of crows...
2:52 I was on the edge of fucking dying
Edit: didn’t realize this was comment was pretty related to the context
Good to see daphne has gotten very comfortable around the gang
0:59 This legit made me jump by how loud this was. 10/10 would jump again.
