    A very thorough man. There is a hell of a lot of time and money spent in that garage.

    Thanks for adding a fade to black and black screen inserts, helps my eyes transition between scenes. Love that wheel and paint combo I prefer OZ wheels but thats just my taste. ✌🏽 Thanks for posting this content!

    Bronze wheels with Rebel Green is an excellent combination. Mine has the black roof.

    Thank you for the overview - I have a '23 F54 JCW and waiting till I need to change my tires then I'll go with a new set with non-run flats and put snows on the OE wheels. I have an '18 JCW F56 and a set of Enki 18" 10 spoke which look a lot a like the OZ (there's only about 2mm between the caliper and the spokes - Tire Rack didn't complain but that was (I think) due to the fact its a F56 - and a lot more people swap wheels out - I agree 100% that it's probably likely that after spending $50k on a family wagon ;-) most don't have the appetite to fork out another $2200 and it's not something the wife is unlikely not going to notice....

      Agreed. My wIfe likes them, I’m lucky I guess. She stopped asking how much stuff costs long ago

    thanks for this video...how was your new set of tires holding out from pot holes? I just called tire racks and talked to Benito about a konig hexaform 18x8.5 +42 and michelin Pilot Sport 4s 235/40ZR18. my original mags and tires are 19 in that came with JCW clubman 2023. yesterday was my 3rd tires to blew because of the pot holes and fed up already. hopefully your new set of tires are holding out. thanks!

      Mine are great! I live in California so it’s night and day from pa where I grew up. I love my pilot sport 4. I’ve had 3 flats in my life all on continentals, I’m not sure if that is coincidence or not.

    Firstly, thanks for the video. You said the new rims have a 42mm offset, the standard wheels have a 57mm offset, so I assume the wheels are sticking out from the guards more than before, yes? If so, do they rub on the guards at all?

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is correct.
      They do not rub in any way.

    Anyone else notice at 32:00 the car 'jumping up' on the jack? Yes I know he edited the video to not show himself jacking it up more to get the wheel on.😉

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it wasn't meant to be a trick, the video was already 38 minutes long so i try to cut out parts that are "non essential". I do appreciate you getting 32 minutes in 😀

    Nice wheels what tork setting did you have on your tork wrench?

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the torque spec for the 2024 is 140NM which is around 103 ft-lb. I usually set my wrench at 105

    How’s the fittment are you running spacers as well or no. If you got a side view picture would very much appreciate

    nice im actually trying to fit a set of 18x8.5 +45 on my F56 jcw. i definitely need at least a 3 or 5mm spacer to clear the strut in the front.
    question on your tpms, you didnt need to program the sensors themselves? or did fitment industries program them? not sure how they would be able to though. or you just needed to reset on mmi?

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You just hit reset on the mmi and drive it. As long as the sensors are the right frequency they don’t need to be programmed. I did this on my 2015, 2016 and 2024 without issues.
      Hope this helps.

    I have a 22’ JCW all 4 clubman. I have the big brakes on it, so I am wondering if switching from a 19” wheel down to a 18” wheel if I would be ok without rubbing and a little more rubber? Please let me know

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      if you did the size and fitment that I did you absolutely can. I have zero rubbing on my setup, if you wanted to use any other wheel you may find the fitment guides on many websites don't have measurements for our cars. In that case you could do what I did and buy a wheel only to check fitment before buying the whole set.

    I've been starting to look at fitment for wheels on my 24 F54 JCW. I saw a video from @petrolped about his OZ wheels, also 8x8.5" but he went with 245/35 on the pilot sport 4s. Seems like it would fill out the arches better and give a bit wider look and more protection on the rims. Thoughts?

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry I thought I replied to this and I guess I didn’t. Oops.
      I’m not sure what the offset of his wheels was, but I could easily go to 245 on my Koenigs. 10mm is only 5mm on each side which is pretty minimal.
      When you talk about flush fitment on a mini it’s a little weird because the flares around the tires are angled. So at the top of the flares my tires are slightly in, in the middle they are flush, and at the bottom they poke.
      I had to do PPf on the rocker panels, because I was throwing rocks at the bottom of the door.
      I would say 245 would look great, but PPf the ducts on the front fenders and the bottom 4” or so of the doors.

    Sweet look - I should expect the fitment to be the same for the Countryman JCW ('22) also right?

    • @improvedgarage
      @improvedgarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The countryman has taller tires, 225/50-18 from the factory. I think the wheels will clear the brakes and work but you would want to do a taller tire and i don't know exactly what would clear.
      I would expect a 235/50-18 or a 245/45-18 to work, but with a tire that tall i might want to do 19" wheels and a 235 or 245/40-19 since a 40 sidewall would still be comfortable. Note any of these would hurt the off-road capabilities since they are wider tires. I would hop on a countryman specific facebook group and ask around, youll get feedback from people who tried different sizes.
