Wow.!.. What a nice surprise to see Bobby Jutley ji, playing the tabla, in this live performance, with Ghulam Ali sahab...
Looking very young in this picture, because I have seen his recent one in one of his albums..
Ghulam Ali ji, always starts his rendition with some endearing couplets..like these...Dil ki choto'n ne kabhi chain se rehne na diya...Jab chali sard hawa, maine tujhe yaad kiya...
And these lines are very unique...Iska rona naheen ki kyuuN tumne kiya dil barbaad..Iska gham hai ke bahut deir mein barbaad kiya...
Very nice aalaap to start with, by G.A ji , in his inimitable style and charismatic voice, followed by the rendition of the heart touching verse of this ghazal...Roya karenge aap bhi, pahro'n isi tarah...Atka kahin jo aap ka dil bhi merii tarah...
And then sang a beautiful sargam enhancing the beauty of the lyrics and the composition.!...
Very heart rending poetry written by Momin Khan.....Naa taab hijr mein hai, na aaraam vasl me..Kam-bakht dil ko chain nahin hai kisi tarah..
The ending lyrics are soul stirring...HuuN jaa.n ba-lab, butaan-e-sitamgar ke haath se..
Kyaa sab yahaan jeete hain, 'Momin' isi tarah .....Such beautiful poetry, rendered as beautifully by Ghulam Ali ji, was a pleasure to listen to..Nice accompaniment on the Tabla by Bobby Jutley ji..

We came to your house in Hanwell back in 1978 when we heard you sing, Dolly, and Bobby play the tabla, with your younger brother also joining in with the singing. I remember that visit to this day, even though I was just a young school boy at the time.
