That's the thing about this - for all the exotics and big dollar builds, there's still a lot of affordable, budget, daily driver, and damn near hack job penny pinching builds there too, the 2k events are almost the Burning Man of drag racing. Just because some spend big money doesn't mean everyone has to. And, when you get over the fear of breaking down in the middle of nowhere with a car that maybe wasn't ready for a road trip, then you can make it REALLY cheap(just have the credit card ready, it's probably gonna have to help you get there lol)
You are thinking about it too much. The only way to figure it out is to put yourself in a similar situation and let the experience wrap it for you. Try out some ride along somewhere to get a taste, who knows you might get hooked.

1320 don't give a shit about that. None of them have race cars and they arent affected by it which is why they haven't talked about it at all. Kyles Audi is just a street car and he already got all the upgrades he wants for it which doesnt affect him now if the performance parts companies go out of business. He is only going to be affected by the clean air act. They will still fly out to places that hold private racing and blur out peoples faces to continue giving the content in future if RPM act doesn't pass in our favor.

They're probably just being tuned by the shops that built them, who likely don't have a traditional drag racing background. These guys need to get ahold of Menscer, or Kinetic Energy, or any number of other drag shock specialists to get their launches under control. Some of those cars are leaving like hot garbage, clearly not able to put power down for a few hundred feet, and have to back half it every pass. These drag shock specialists may not have experience with these suspensions - but you're paying for their data analysis as much as their tuning, and data is data regardless of the suspension type(and its not like their stuff isn't being used on Corvette IFSes). SO much potential being left out on the track
