“I’m pretty sure the 1911 was made in the year 1911” As a representative of the American community I am proud of you sir ree for finally getting something correct about firearms.
The m1911 chambered in .45 ACP originally saw service in 1911, nicknamed the cow killer because during development they just shot cows until they found the smallest caliber bullet that would still kill a cow in one shot. During both world wars the m1911 was unrivaled in sidearm stopping power and is one of the only guns still used to this day being the preferred sidearm to many American spec ops and marines. The design was slightly modernized with extended magazines suppressors new sights and better rifling, its known for its reliability and for its sheer power for these reasons it’s one of the most famous weapons in American history
the 1911, or something very much like it, was for sale in 1899. the 1911 was the USARMY's battlefield version, which recived several upgrades over the 100 years of adaquate service it provided, ending with a cool variety of paterns, and its long service history lending itself to use-knowledge being common in american civil society.

Fun fact for those who don't know: All M4s and M16s are AR15s, M16 and M4 is just the military designation for gov. owned ARs. The difference between M16s and M4s are that M16s have longer barrels (20' inches iirc), and M4s have shorter barrels (14.5 inches). Before the adoption of shorter barrels, a lot pf M16s were getting their carry handles removed and fitted with top rails and quad rails
0:30 Well reekid let me tell you about the colt1911 as an American The M1911 (Colt 1911 or Colt Government) is a single-action, recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge.[9] The pistol's formal U.S. military designation as of 1940 was Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45, M1911 for the original model adopted in March 1911, and Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45, M1911A1 for the improved M1911A1 model which entered service in 1926. The designation changed to Pistol, Caliber .45, Automatic, M1911A1 in the Vietnam War era. 1:10 safety switch it locks the slide 1:37 well he has a point 20:40 bye reekid
It's called the M1911 because it was adopted in 1911, the gun was an iteration on a design built a decade or so prior (I think the version adopted in 1911 was updated earlier that year though
even double actions can be fanned. hold the trigger and fan the hammer. itll cause it to keep firing the action until the trigger is released. double action means it will pull the hammer back itself after each shot. single action means you have to manually do it. either one can be done manually and you actually have to manually do it for the first shot of the single action but not the double.
Reekid: doesn’t know about slides
Also Reekid: “this is a double action so you wouldn’t really fan it”

We watched ReeKid go through the evolution of American Military organically.
Flintlock, then overloads it to an attempted blunderbuss, M1, M16, M4
He uses two M16s and no M4. The “m4” is the M16A4.
You've grown so much man, miss watching you, finally got back to doing it lol.
As a American I appreciate how old is that the M4 is the most times, but why the horn on it?
