I got interested in this game’s demo as a way to have a builder for backgrounds and references for art projects. It’s well worth the investment/gift for any artistic types. I could also see a dm using it for scene propping for campaigns actually.
@Foxumsor even if you are fighting in say a outdoor courtyard of a mansion/castle or a form of abbey give a clearer idea of the layout (and tempt your more Creative players into trying more creative solutions like climbing to a roof to shoot a crossbow)
@FoxumsThat’s such a small niche though. They need to add more elements and variety or the game will flop in a month once everyone’s moved on to something else.
I downloaded this earlier, completely lost track of time while building a little village. its a nice change of pace from playing Elden Ring, Wukong and Space Marine 2.
To see this game on the channel is a surprise, a welcome one however. I played the Demo a few days before the game fully came out and my gosh is it adorable and cozy!
I think this game desperately needs NPC's with interesting AI. Imagine as you build out towns, villages and castles the game spawns appropriate NPC's. Knights guard the castle, kings and queens stand in their courtyards, and horse drawn carts travel across the map making deliveries. Townsfolk chop wood, tend to their gardens, etc. People are walking about, socializing, following routines, etc. They could go so far with this, and I hope they do.
Every game needs to start incorporating ChatGPT or something similar specifically made for dynamic video game NPC's. If NPC's had running storylines of their own, open world games would become endlessly fascinating even without any kind of main storyline. Just like an NPC watcher.
This is what Cotton is using to distract himself when he gets the intrusive thought to look up Monster Hunter Wilds content. You can’t convince me otherwise because that’s sort of what this game helps you do…not think about anything else…which is a blessing imo.
I would have loved this game, except what I enjoy about builders is both form and function... just looking good like this would bore me out very soon. It's for really creative minds, which I unfortunately am not... even if I absolutely love looking at it.
OOOOOO! I’ve seen this game before and wanted to keep my eye on it, but it fell off my radar and I didn’t know it was playable!!!! I’m rushing to my computer as soon as I get home now, thank you!!!!
Add npc's that you need to do things for so they can live cosy, like Sims. That would add some gameplay at least. And if hey are happy, give points which can buy you things just like in Sims.
Thanks for showcasing Dave the Diver, I am loving the game, and I just made it to Silver Rank and have two staff members working in the Sushi bar while saving for a 3rd one.
He said 'do whatever you want within it' but there's nothing to do? What it actually is, is a creation TOOL/software like Unity or Maya but with no option to export or put in any gameplay. It's basically a sims build mode without the live mode. You build a village and then say 'now what?'.
it is very pretty but it is not a game though, it is like a cute toy. In a game, you win or you lose. A game is not just arranging pixels on a screen for esthetic purposes.
That's not true about games, for one the result can also be a draw or tie and two, there is such a thing as non-competitive games where the objective is to learn, to have fun or whatever it gives the person. Those are games just as much as competitive ones are. However, I do agree that this isn't really a game, it's a creative building tool. I guess it's easier to simply call it a game as that's what most folks are used to hearing.
Very boring “game” after a good hour or two. $12 is highway robbery for a glorified demo that should be free. You quickly realize everyone’s builds just look the same because there’s so little variety. Refunded.
For anyone wondering: This guy is so off the mark he doesn't even see it anymore. Spend a few hours and don't feel like I even scratched the surface of what I want to do. I'm very eager to get back in.
Thanks for showcasing this, I am sort of in favour of not calling it a game, there isn't really a victory condition, but rather a creative tool that currently my brain relies on to not crumble, I hope a lot of people get, it's just good for you, the kind of thing that you only do when winding down in your free time, you won't get addicted it's just so comfy
As someone who enjoys DnD, I'd like if this game had a "map mode" where you could view your town from above or put a map filter over it.
That would be amazing
there is, go to camera mode, and on the camera button on the left side of your options you can change your camera view to a map mode
@@ya_boi_nugget863 Oh awesome!

It doesn’t seem like the final game has THAT much content, what could you do in the demo?
games targeting ADHD & Depression. This is where we have landed. There's a purpose behind all of this. I get it 100%
Wish we could do interiors! How much cooler that would be!

I hope they will add some more diverse bioms with time.
Life can be beautiful when you don’t see YOU DIED every few minutes.
😂
I'm so happy that this has been brought to my attention.

This is really awesome. Good to see you guys showing off stuff like this in addition to the normal stuff.
Just snagged this game and searched up some vids. Was tryna see why the voice sounds familiar and BAM! It's this channel lolllll, great vid, love it!

Great video, but 'maybe you're cooking' - i enjoyed that moment
Seems cozy AF. I'll check it out 👍
Nooo, no more labeling games as cozy! Worst gaming trend next to loot boxes and battle passes 😂
this would be perfect if we could have character's to live in our villages and go hunting and stuff
I haven't played the game yet, but I'd love if they had different themed architecture as well, such as Chinese.
OHHH!!! Asian theme will be a great expansion!
Japanese
Chinese
Korean
Thai
Oh those would be lovely to see!
Cottons cow building is just his attempt to live on the back of a Duramboros...
Would be cool if they had a special template where you could export the model to Blender or 3D print.
I love this game as well the ducks are so cute!
This game would be great in VR with vr controls.
Just got this game for my girlfriend, I'm so excited to see her play it
You're missing out bro.
You are an architect with magical powers.
Amazing video on this amazing game, and I hope that it helps grow some attraction to it!
we need a screensaver maker for this game!!!
didnt expect to see this game on the channel! nice coverage!
another game thats like this: SUMMERHOUSE!
Thanks for showcasing Dave the Diver, I am loving the game, and I just made it to Silver Rank and have two staff members working in the Sushi bar while saving for a 3rd one.
is it potato friendly ;-;
i only got intel uhd 620 and 16 gb ram laptop
0 rage, just peace now.
Love the game, just wish we could add animals ourselves
This looks so cozy and relaxing! Good Cotton find ❤
Not a fun of the new trend of calling games Cozy.
@ 08:04 did you know you build a cow ?
Chat so much of my life will be wasted playing this game

Tbh i think id just pick up blender its free and has infinitely more possibilities
Interesting
Do NOT buy this game! You will lose hours and hours and hours of your life to it! :)
You will spend happy hours and hours and hours of your life! :)
Is it really a "game" tho? More like an "experience."

Amen. There a loads of games that offer equal or more creative freedom and still manage to have a game on top of the creating mechanics
For anyone wondering: This guy is so off the mark he doesn't even see it anymore. Spend a few hours and don't feel like I even scratched the surface of what I want to do. I'm very eager to get back in.
Why do you keep calling it a game? Is autocad a game?
