great vid. That f-86 can out rate damn near any other jet on that server. coming up on a mig 21, slow down a bit and get into a lag pursuit when the target is turning hard. he wont out rate you and you wont overshoot. If you are pulling lead high aspect, that mig-21 pilot will pull back hard, stop mid-air and watch you shoot by. My 2cents from flying the F-86 a lot against alot of Mig-21s
I've spent 56 months in combat and I have this issue as well. I get relief by wearing some foam earplugs under my headset. Just a suggestion, it muffles the high whine of the engine.
@@lukalekov1530 I've tried but I've found that the ear pro works best for me, with the helmet sound set to that. My uncle was an F-4 pilot in Nam he and his reo used foam ear pro underneath their helmet. It's actually who told me to try it! It was a very common practice.
I use gyro gunsight only, no WWII shooting style when flying F-86, only short 1 second bursts and only when I am 100% sure i hit the target. My style of air combat in F-86.
LOL..buddy, nice video but I'm sorry, you're ACM skills (?) are just too painful to watch! :) Not trying to be mean or disrespectful but it seems like you are just "full throttle" no matter the situation and are continually over-shooting your enemy?? You must learn to NOT over-shoot...a skilled pilot (not a game AI drone!) would get on your six instantly with the over-shoots you kept getting into. Use those air brakes - pop them out when you need to quickly break your closing speed and bring them back in when you've decelerated enough - and don't forget to be constantly adjusting your power/throttle!! Also, in a tight, and slow two-turn fight, you can put out a single notch of flaps to increase your turn rate, and, you can also use your air brakes and flaps when you are evading and maneuvering to escape an aircraft on your six. Practice rolling scissors in a slow dogfight with a single notch of flaps...you'll be able to slow down and get your nose on them quickly, especially if you get them to over-shoot you! Lastly, don't worry about holding down that trigger!! You missed way too many easy shots for what looked like a bit of trigger shyness? Love your enthusiasm so practice these techniques and show us your leaned Ace skills in another video!! Happy skies :)
Early jets are so gnarly to fight in. Using WW2 gunnery but going twice as fast is hard.

Thanks for the advice, very fun jet when the missiles are turned down
Hey Joe, apparently there is a Korean war server that is just that, Korean War era planes. :)
It's just so easy to fly. When it departs, it does so gracefully.
lovely aircraft though the engine sound triggers some heavy tinnitus for me somehow lol.
does sound rather weak compared to the tomcat eg
@@Joemate23 yeah i'll say this playing for blue is like playing "hard mode"

@@ruger2275 there is an option in dcs to put a helmet it will make it less loud if that makes sense !

Check the radar, then it's a mater of lining up. way easier after locking your target
6:30 - 6:37 is my absolute favourite manouver to pull off

People say the gyro gunsight is iffy, but gyro gunsights have served me well since IL2
"Sabre break off I want the kill even though you're right on his six. Fuck you give it to me"
Love the Sabre. Great vid!
Thank you! It’s rather fun to fly for sure.
Now if you could get the Australian Sabers or the Canair Saber 6
Alright, why did that first Mig-19 kept going into a one-circle?!
Best ask him then mate
nice vid.have you tried V2 tho ?
GK Serb-1-1
Thank you! Yeah this was shot on v2, I have mixed feelings
Is the sabre that wobbly?
when you go above 550 knots yeah
nice
Did you add a sound mod? The 50 cals sound really good in this video.
i want the f-2 variant to be added
Cannons would make killing easier
"saber break off i have missile" lmao get a grip

What is that horrible clicking noise in the background! Makes video unwatchable 😂
Is the gunsight modelled properly? You shouldn't need to pull leads like early WW2, lol.
gyro and radar assisted sight are optional
I don’t use the radar as it’s poor at low altitude
