- 📱 RedMagic 10 Pro Review: Gaming Beast or Daily Driver Disaster?
Is the RedMagic 10 Pro the best gaming phone of 2025? I tested its stunning AMOLED display, lightning-fast performance, and unmatched battery life-but can it handle everyday tasks? Spoiler: It’s a gamer’s dream but has a few major drawbacks for daily use.

🎮 RedMagic 10 Pro Full Review:
With its stunning 6.85-inch AMOLED screen, top-tier cooling, and incredible battery life, the RedMagic 10 Pro excels at gaming-but that’s where the praise stops. Its smudge-prone glossy design, lack of wireless charging, limited water resistance, and disappointing cameras make it hard to recommend as an everyday phone.
I compared it side by side with my Pixel 9 and ROG Phone 9, breaking down its strengths and weaknesses. Could you daily drive this phone, or is it strictly for gaming? Let me know in the comments!

The Nubia brand is growing and taking bold steps in their products. ❤
Writing this on my redmagic 10 and it's stunning. I run it alongside my iPhone 16 pro max and seriously, this is a nicer phone. Screen is amazing and phone is lighting fast. The flat surface front and back make it a joy to look at.
@@davidrumble3799 I was deciding on the 16 Pro Max, or S25 Ultra. But when I seen this phone, it was the one! I own the 15 Pro Max, and imo it is one of the worst phones I’ve ever owned. It overheats even on the simplest tasks, and phone calls drop out constantly, even with 2 or 3 bars. I have AT&T, but my iPhone 12 Mini never gave me that problem at all. Reliability makes or breaks a phone. I haven’t had any problems with my RedMagic, knock on wood. But it’s almost half the price of a mainstream flagship, and offers better features. I love iOS and Android, but both do have their pros and cons.
Great video by the way.
That type c port is also very useful, you can hook directly up to a monitor or tv with the right hdmi to type c cord, an ir blaster is too good.
Humidity should not be a problem because i live in Mississippi where humidity is almost 100 percent on the daily and my redmagic 8 pro works fine here as well as being in a dusty location since i work at a steel Mill.
As a redmagic 10pro user coming from Samsung OnePlus and lg; honestly the 10pro is a better multimedia consumption device. The battery and chipset combo makes this thing a monster. I'm an adult and don't ever put my phone through ip rating test because I take care of my phone. Get the device in light speed/white 0 fingerprint. Honestly, this is the best phone you can get in the US for 649 including taxes is the best value. Ohh also there is a dedicated desktop mode. Yikes OnePlus. This is a great phone. 0 complaints.
As my daily phone since Christmas i must say that red magic is best buy...not to expensive, but you get premium phone...battery is hughe, evrything is fluid, two tipes of cooling, new snapdragon is so good optimised...people talk aboit water ressis...how can this phone be water ressist whan it have fan??people say,it dont have updates like samsung or i phone..are you guys planing to have same phone for 5-6-7 years?do you think your phone after updates stop will be broken?my old phone had same issues with uodates(black shark 5 pro)and guess what, that phone still rocks
Yeah, personally I hate Android updates. All it does is slow your phone down after a while. Not having consistent updates is a good thing, especially on a gaming phone. That’s one less thing to interrupt you. ZTE Nubia provides like 4 years of security updates, and 1 year of OS updates, which is good enough for me. Play Store can support old versions of Android for a very long time. Much longer than iOS. And if your OS is starting to look dated, just put a launcher on it lol. That’s the beauty of Android.
Im not a gamer but got this as my daily phone due to the lovely screen, battery life and processor. No complaints so far, it is buttery smooth. Im not the biggest camera user so I guess it depends on your priorites.
3/10 for daily driver kinda harsh. I would lean 5/10. Battery life and extended battery cycles due to the battery type being carbon rather than li ion. I would also say that the full screen is more desirable than a good selfie camera is more of a trade off rather than full demerits (watching videos not just gaming).
it is not just snapdragon 8 elite why? i just discovered that Redmagic10 pro+ has Redcore R3 exclusive gaming chip together with Snapdragon8 elite so that's why it's more powerful and smoother than any android with the same SD8 elite chipset.
As far as I'm aware, both the 10 pro and pro+ have the same snapdragon 8 gen 2 and redcore R3 chip - no exclusivity there. The pro+ will feel faster mainly because of higher ram 24gb and storage options, which help with multitasking, smoothness, etc. I would say it’s just better configuration, not extra hardware.
Thanks for bringing this up 👍
@FamilyPopTV yes both has it. i intend not to mention that, pro and pro+ same with redcore R3.
i mean exclusive to redmagic not exclusive in variant. other phone don't have 2 gaming chip at the same time.
Redcore R3 + SD8 elite + Liquid metal cooling + Diablo mode (throttling options) = Gaming Haven
SD8 gen 2? Is the SD8 elite@@FamilyPopTV
does the main camera has document mode option? like on a Xiaomi phone?
IMO I think the video quality on the Red Magic looks slightly better. The colors pop out a little more. But the front facing camera is not good lmao.
Something that no one ever talks about is the phone!! Like reception and companies it works on in the u.s
Tutaj that's a good point. I'm in the UK so reception and carrier compatibility hasn't been an issue for me. Hopefully someone from the US can chime in with their experience
I use mine on AT&T, and it works perfectly fine. Always make sure to buy US variant phones, or you might run into problems with network compatibility.
Bro, can you review the Oukitel WP100 Titan and do a battery drain test on the Oukitel WP100 which has released just In February 2025. (It is in CES 2025)
Heat?!
DLSS 3 in a phone?💀
Haha, I wish... DLSS 3 is exclusive to RTX gpu's...
But this one does have its own tricks, like SGSR and frame rate interpolation (which I shown in this vid)
@FamilyPopTV i see but I find this quite funny too
This seems very cool aswell wish other phones also come with it, personally wish the iQOO 13 have something similar
good video 👌👌
Thank you! Cheers!
NFC enabled for contactless payments
I came so close to buying this phone...then i saw the parts for my LG V60 on sale and i was like
Nah
yep
i would gaming everywhere time i go outside is Better
The phone is 650 not 750
749$ on amazon.com at the time of publishing this vid,
$674 limited time offer right now.
The wet sound when you speak is so off putting I can’t listen to that.
Yeah, microphone gain is a tad bit too high
Especially noticable with good earphones 😅
@ it’s just something I can’t listen to lol
It doesn't have an ip rating
It doesn't need ip rating 😂
If you haven't watched the JerryRigEverything video, this phone doesn't have an IP rating. BUT, it does have lots of gaskets and meshes to block water out. The only thing water can access is the fan, and that would be the very first thing to break. If it's clean water, the chances of it breaking are very slim to none.
@Joshtheweatherman Ik.
But even with gaskets, a fan and water near each other in my daily phone? no thanks. Gaming phone? - I get it. My daily phone? Too risky
@@FamilyPopTV too risky if you work with water. Just don't use it on rain
Powerful chipset but ugly back design
Back is a nice compromise between muted and gamer. I really like it
