Dealing with the cold would be really annoying along with light, hunger and health. Not really something I would recommend even as a challenge cus it leads to a lot of stale gameplay

the cave entrance near blue mushroom forest is on a specific biome? or it's random?

Its the blue mushroom biome with lunar grotto, it always has one path connected to mud biome and one cave entrance (i think), in this case it was mixed up with green mushroom forest

I often find one near spawn, but its not guaranteed, generation is mostly random

if I had no light I'd drop them on the ground - with 6 of them you can easily fight shadow creature
