Tip for the last boss after running into this problem in pugs a bunch of times:
If the tank suddenly starts taking massive dot damage for no explicable reason, it's probably not the poison, here's what's happening: The boss' light attacks will put an ice dot on the tank, it will be on the tank for pretty much the entire fight. Normally it does so little damage you wont even notice it, but, every time a shalk hits the tank, they lose 2000 armor. It can reduce the tank's armor to 0, and since you can't block dots, it will hit VERY hard if you take too many shalk hits (like 14k+ a tick). It's really easy to mistake this for a desynced poison AOE, but it's not, it just means the shalk isn't being CC'd or killed quickly enough.
Can you explain to me what the green areas are in the last boss? My group had the idea that after running to the gold you had to go to green. I have no logical explanation as to what the green are (not talking about obvious poison) just that it isn’t necessary. Gold blocks dragon spit. Thanks. Trying to smoothen mechanics out.

Played this game 3 years ago. Had never played an mmo before and struggled to level 40 and gave up. Found your guide videos and mechanic vids and started to play again at the start of this year and have played every single day! I love this game now ... thanks to you mate. NOTE:
Due to updates, two things will affect the demonstrations.
1) The shalks no longer snare on the last boss, so that has been made a lot easier.
2) Yokeda/phoenix have been altered so they no longer save you, so BE careful ;)

It's a nasty place especially the last boss... Don't worry about the yelling, people will get frustrated, it's not their fault(and certainly not yours).
Finally got the worm personality. Got through the dungeon with a pug and completed no death and speedrun, so we decided to attempt hard mode. It took us 2 hours but it was worth it.

I thought you had to do this on a single run. To get the Personality, you had to Speed run, no death and hard mode? Is this not correct. Seems easier to get the reward if they are separated.
As far as I know you can get them separately, unless something has changed recently
Do the video while being a tank so we can see the mechanics while you speak, cuz it's a bit confusing listening to you speak so fast while watch the dps play through
Funny thing I do for how quick he talks is I put the playback on 0.75x and it makes him talk normal speed 😂
I recommend watching Irreverent Aegis on YT. He tanks and explains mechs and group dynamics and gear set ups and everything! He’s exactly what your looking for!

I spent six hours with a cool group trying to do this hard mode, but I will finish watching this video later, and then I will get that hard mode soon LOL honestly I absolutely love this dungeon and the hard mode is very exciting as well. There are so many things to master and stay on point about and it's so punishing if you miss it's almost like the group Maelstrom Arena Flawless conqueror attempt XD Kudos to Zos on this one I think this is one of the best hardmode dungeons they designed

Wiped for 3 hours on HM yesterday but still couldn't get him down. The last 25% is insanely difficult.

One thing you don't mention on the last boss is that he has a poison spit that will 1 shot the tank if he's not blocking.
- As well the tank needs to move around the boss throughout at least the 1st phase.
saying that this dungeon is hard is an understatement lol, this dungeon will wreck your shit lol
This is one of the hardest dungeon. Last boss murder us so bad, people were queuing in and leaving right away.

Just completed this for the first time ever on vet normal, I'm lvl 440 and feel like I did ok. Didn't know any mechanics and the tank guy said amazing carry at the end lol. I thanked the team and explained it was my first time. I'm here to brush up on my knowledge and gonna go through all ya vids to best prepare myself in other dungeons, if lvl810s r willing to help me out and carry a little then I'm willing to learn what I should be doing to best help them out. Thx for the content great vids and info 👍

I'm a returning player and I would love to have this personality but I don't know anyone in the game I joined some guilds but they don't seem that active
So last night, me and a buddy played Random vet roulette and got this dungeon. The tank and healer kept asking if we knew mechanics lol. We eventually started and finished the dungeon without wiping on any boss. Neither the healer or tank said anything after the dungeon lol.
I used a solo templar tank healer to solo this. And the psijic ult

addons on pc are all ui so why would you not trust them? lol

Yeah definitely worth it if you can put the time in. Get ready to rage though. Every group i have ever been in requires you to be able to gel together before it can happen!
What is the tank steps for the hard mode fight? I'm on a tankplar but I keep getting screwed with the ice bites. Am I doing something wrong?
Was sent into this tonight on a random. Brutal. Took us about about 1.5 hours.
Do 'Dragon Bones' actually drop in this dungeon (vet/normal), or do you have to deconstruct dropped gear to get them? If so is it bosses only or any ads? Need one for the 'Pack Leaders bone broth' writ. Thank you.

Thanks for the great vid! Did the trifecta on DPS a while back and meow gonna halp some peeps on it as a Tank - anyone know if the DK Magma Shell / Corrosive Armor ulti would allow them to survive the ghost wall and/or the big blast if they can’t make it to a glowy portal? :o
I don't think it's possible...I had 62k HP with multiple arc shields up and still got wiped
Can you start adding the recommended red cp for each vet dungeon when you make these videos, at least the red cp for the hm fight
dungeons don't have a specific red cp for them, only arenas and trials have
Ugh! The group I was in did 3 dps. We managed to get no death and speed run, but man! Hard mode is something else! That ghost wall plus the bone colossus always gets someone and it's a struggle to revive them.
Yeah Hard mode is basically Australia in a cupboard lol everything you can see will kill you haha

But man! I'm thinking of using Kagrenac's Hope for my magplar (which btw, I use your build:) ) to help with faster reviving. That ghost wall plus adds makes it hard!
@@violetbutterfly1629 Hardmode punishes death very severely, I suppose you could use the necromancer resurrect ulti in the future, unless it gets nerfed.
90% of pugs can't even do this on non-hm. I will never understand queuing for vet dungeons blindly without having any idea of mechanics.

is there any way of finding the build from the tank?
I can tell you what i used. Earthgore monster set so the healer didn't have to save me as i could heal myself to max hp every 35 seconds whenever needed. Ebon all tri-stat on equipment and reduce block on jewlery, plague dr on a few parts and sword/shield/lightning staff. Running infused crusher and the puncture that gives both major breach and fracture. CP setup, put at last 56 in defense against poison ect its in the red tree somewhere. Keep the debuff up as much as you can, the quicker its over.
How much hp should a tank have for this
35k with buff food minimum i had 39k doing the hm, the max isn't important. The moment you run out of stamina and drop your shield longer then 1 full second, your as good as dead. The trick is to do light slashes ''animation cancel it just as if your a dd'' to get your ultimate up as a dk and refill resourses with that and keep your magicka up to lock those bugs in place as they spawn with your talons. I have most hm on my templar tank done except this one. I had to use my dk for it.
i had two gold pads spwan IN the poison, we didnt make that attempt XD
you only have to take the gold pad not stay in it. get selfheals/shields and go run and take it and roll dodge out of it
some people just make it look easy
Right, we were in this dungeon for 4-5 hours today. The last boss was about half of that time at least.
