Love your Poland videos, you are in my neighborhood. I was born in Zabkowice Slaskie (German Frankenstein) about 70 km from where you are. Currently living in US for the last 60 years. Enjoy Lower Silesia.
My only reaction was "WOW" I'm completely in awe of this place. Looks magnificent! i hope they do shoot some series or movie over there. I love historical places but the thing i didn't like that it was destroyed multiple times. How could someone destroy a masterpiece even if there is an enmity? Love watching your videos. Hope you're enjoying your stay to the fullest.
from Wałbrzych close to the Karkonosze Mountains I recommend especially in the spring Go to Karpacz This region of Poland is really worth visiting Greetings
Yes! My beloved Karkonosze (I'm a Varsavian, but I was there like few dozens times! First time when I was like 5 years old, what means 1977)! I personally love Karpacz and Szklarska Poręba more than Zakopane!
Hi, when you like Castle you must see next time Castle in Moszna(20 miles from Opole) there are hotel too, best time between Mai June with not modern room.Btw Great video
Hi. I love your series about my home country. Such ashsme you missed my home town Opole ( between Katowice and Wroclaw) and Moszna Castle close by. Thank you for a great video about my beautiful country of Poland. Hopefully that will encourage more people to visit Poland xxx
To the south theres the castle where Hogwarts is taught - called Czocha Castle ohh and you're not far from Karpacz with the only Viking Church outside of Norway

Do you know that old castle ruins were build as a ruin and they are not older then the main castle. There was some fashion in that time that every castle had to have some ruins near and when the wasn't any they needed to be build.
Stunning place to stay , A Polish Castle turned Hotel. How cool was that guys. You do your homework in picking this stunning location. Bucket list for us, the next time we go to Poland. @@dabbleandtravel thankyou too my friends for the support on my small channel and i hope you visit our country in MANILA , PHILIPPINES like BORACAY yahhooooo i like your travel content.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
If you want to see real Castle , I highly recommend to go to Teutonic Knights Castle in Malbork . It's the biggest Castle on the world. Not far from Gdansk, which is another city I highly recommend to see.
Drek is right: Malbork or Marienburg is more a castle in a true sense. The Burg (in Marien-Burg) = castle is simular to a fortress and has above all a military and strategic purpose. The German name for the buildings shown in the video is Schloss Fürstenstein. A Schloss = palace or chateau has a residential and representative character. It might be that Książ had a fortified military or strategic character in the 14th century. But what you see there now - looking at the architecture style - is a remodelling into a palace-like residence done in the 16th and 17th century.
Hi, if you continue to explore Poland and find Gdansk or Sopot, a very interesting hotel is there Hotel Quadrille Relais & Châteaux happy traveling in Poland :) best regards

Well.. the correct pronunciation is like “kshonsh”. Książ, the „ą” is more like -on or -ant in French. Like in Croissant or in Lyon. Beautiful castle by the way!-
You have been to the most mysterious region in Poland and perhaps in Europe. Nearby, the Germans built a complex of underground structures with no explanatory purposes to this day, they built it until the last moments before the takeover by the Russian front. They allegedly built anti-gravity tension. The surrounding mountains have hollow tunnels that the Germans hid something and blew it up before retreating. In some tunnels 6 trucks were driven in and the tunnels were blown up, the locals know the entrances, but no one should let them because they are mined with porcelain mines undetectable. These tunnels go on for miles.
@@dabbleandtravel they say it really is somewhere there. A train full of gold and art, stolen by Germans during WW2, and hidden in tunnels dig in mountains/hills around the castle. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_gold_train
Your pronunciation of KSIĄŻ was so off I could not recognize it :-). Next time just ask the locals ;-). The same goes for Wałbrzych (I guess that's what you meant to say?).
Is it really true that the Hochberg family got the castle back once the nazis left, as Matt mentioned it? The whole area was cut off from Germany, given to a westward shifted Poland and the population expelled. There would be no exception especially for an aristocratic family in a communist Poland then. I would guess, the palace was seized by the Polish state after the war.
@@dabbleandtravel this would be very unusally. Sometimes it happend after 1990 that some wealthy families received properties back when they were not dispossessed by the communist but already by the nazis before.
