    True definition of a player that can guard 1-5. And do it well. He reminds me of Rodman and Barkley, undersized but alot of heart and grit and determination.

      +TheGGMan Wow, coming to think about it, he does remind me of Rodman.Can guard all 5 positions, quick hands, blocks shots in open lanes.The only thing Rodman has over him is the rebounding.The only thing Green has over Rodman is the offensive IQ as well as scoring, but even with those differences they're still very similar.

      +ucialum what people means by guarding 1 through 5 is that he can guard most player at every position and I'm pretty sure he'll do an alright job against Cousins and CP3

    I see people asking for videos and commenting on it, but i barely see anyone thanking you and giving you credit for the work you do.
    Making these type of videos is NOT as easy as it may seem people, its literally downloading A LOT of games, watching them carefully to pick out the best defensive possesions (in this case) and add them to the video, what this man is doing can take A LOT, of work.
    Its not like offenive highlights where its more obvious since you can generally know already what games to choose to get highlights of the best offensive plays, because it reflects on the scoreboard.
    But to make highlights of defensive plays sometimes without no stat that indicates where and when it happened, that can take a lot of work.
    So Evin if you don't get this often, let me be one of the ones too give you huge props for the videos you do, it can indeed be a lot of work just to entertain us, as its obvious you probably don't even or can't, even, get some type of monetary exchange for these awesome videos, your making amazing videos purely to entertain, and that deserves recognition and appreciation!.
    Huge respect to you! hope you get payed back in good health and living.

    I don't think i have ever seen a player that is 6-7 230 lbs defense anchored/role player/scorer/passer and can also guard 1-5 like Draymond Green. They really got lucky with the draft getting him at 2nd round, 5th pick, 35th overall. Also there are some things stats sheets can't measure, the heart, toughness, and effort.
    Anyone one care to give me some examples of who might you pick as a comparison to Draymond Green?
    The only one that i can think of that would come close to comparison would be Anthony Mason?? but without a 3pt range.

    • @alexboone9114
      @alexboone9114 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      To compare another player to draymond you have to look at the sg position. Most shooting guards lack the height or strength or build to compete with draymond but if you watched the rockets game last week, Marcus Thornton, very surprisingly, was able to hold him to 0 field goals through 3 quarters. To be clear green is in his own class and far better than Thornton. The closest thing to him which isn't exactly close would be an elite big guard like lebron, kawhi, or jimmy butler.

    • @EvinGualberto
      @EvinGualberto  9 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      +Jonathan Ma You can surely say he got robbed of it. That's why they have first place votes to begin with. The fact that he got the most first place votes and didn't win it means a whole hell of a lot. Also, the fact that Dray & the Warriors won more games (67) than Kawhi played (64) should be a little telling.

    • @EvinGualberto
      @EvinGualberto  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Solentos I did say you CAN say he got robbed of it, because that's where the conversation initiated. Would I rather that Draymond won it? Of course. Because why even has a system in place where first place votes count for more if it doesn't matter in the end? Kawhi won it and it was an actual surprise to most people. That's not saying he isn't deserving, but it's just that I feel that Draymond had the stronger case THIS season. I'm happy that Kawhi won it (I know that my Kawhi defense video is my most popular video by A LOT), and I just want to make sure it doesn't sound like I'm taking anything away from him.

    • @EvinGualberto
      @EvinGualberto  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +PurePozi I'm working on a passing video already but I don't know if I'm going to be adding hustle plays in there (if they directly lead to a basket, sure).

    • @EvinGualberto
      @EvinGualberto  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Good catch. I'm not trying to take anything away from anyone. As you know, I publish videos every Sunday and that Thursday (I hope I'm remembering this correctly, bec if it wasn't the Thursday of, it was the following week then), Kawhi was announced as the DPOY (Apr 23). I commented that because he had won it and I said in the description that he WILL win one sometime soon.
      I love both Kawhi and Draymond (if that's not extremely obvious by now), and while I would have personally given it to Draymond (with the first place votes, etc...), the fact is that Kawhi DID win it.

    All these Coaches certain that, that 6'6 guy is a favorable match-up vs their Big Men, Yet It doesn't work as planned. Off course Sometime They Score on Draymond,
    But, The Amount of Time wasted on these possessions is crazy😅 ...which is what The Warriors Want.

    I think his greatest gift is being able to trick his opponents into doing the total opposite of what they should do against him whenever they have a certain advantage such as length, speed, or strength. Guys longer than him forget that they are longer than him. Guys faster than him forget they are faster than him. The few guys who are stronger than him forget that too. A lot of times his matchup just chooses the wrong move and plays right into Draymond's trap.

Smith and he does a good job on both and if you watch his offensive highlights he shows the same versatility, he can be the passer, the scorer, the facilitator, and a good screener. One of the most versatile players in the game.

    Draymond deserved the DPOY last year and this season, in my opinion. Although Kawhi is deserving I just feel most of the votes were bias, so Draymond didn't have a fair chance. And no I am no Warriors' fan. Just because Kawhi is the best perimeter defender doesn't mean he should get it every season or be more probable to get it. Otherwise, Tony Allen could have been DPOY 10+ consecutive Seasons.

    The majority of gs acting like Draymond is the defensive centerpiece of the team is them being salty about 2016. Iggy has always been better, on both ends of the court
