Shoutout to the boat guys going out of their way to help a potential accident victim. Really makes you feel like the world we live in isn't all that bad in the end, and that no matter what happens, there might just be at least one person decent enough to make sure you're safe.
I like to think they weren't even on the water yet, they just have a riverside property with a little dock, saw him go down and went looking. Good people any way you spin it.
Pretty cool! That feeling is what I get going back mountain backpacking. So peaceful and relaxing having everything so simple. Can't wait for the next camping video!
@@TuckerGott Sorry But I could not help but think about Jeff. Was not this the island that you guys land on before? Hope the thought was ok for you at night. I lost my BF as well. I miss him a lot, so I'm sure you do as well. o7 brother!!
Dude, this needs to be a series. Plan multiple flights and solo camping trips. Do it in remote locations. Definitely get a Garmin satellite phone. I would love it if you attempted this and you could snatch up people searching for solo camping vids. P.S. Get a DJI Mini drone to do some air shots when camping to add some killer visuals. Thanks for this vid. Well done.
Yeah I'd love him to build off of this. There just isn't content like this out there. Camping channels are a thing but flying in to location is simply an incredible take on camping!
Videos like this are my expectation when I get a paramotor. I'm a bit older and am past my adrenaline days with the scars to show for it. Now I want this kind of adventure.
One of my favorite videos you have done Tucker! Very well done and I like how real you are... the guy who "wing overs" through the Arch has shaky hands after a Gusty landing on an island. It shows how genuine you are as a person and how real this activity is... for those viewers who don't fly it looks so easy :) thanks for bringing us along on this adventure. Very inspiring!
I’m not a paramotoror, (my word), but I’ve been following you a long time. I really loved the Icarus series and this conjures up some of that spirit. I used to do a lot of solo wilderness hiking and backpacking and boating to islands like this. Nothing is better for the soul and a great sense of accomplishment. This would be great content for the uncut channel as well. More please! A one off comment: your fire looked awfully close to your tent!
“My selfie-stick deployed and I was embarrassed “….😝 I could not help but laugh….it was my gutter brain listening when you said that! All silliness aside, the fact that you took off for a private camp out, on an island…I mean sweeeeet! Most people don’t take time out to do something different. Getting in touch with nature is such a great way to clear the mind. I enjoy it with a friend, or by myself, and it is quite wonderful to mix up your life a bit. I am so jealous that you went for the primitive, with the brats and the beer! What a simple but awesome meal! So glad you didn’t have any major problems, and I would enjoy seeing you do more of these camp outs, either alone, or with some friends, picking out great places to fly to. ❤️❤️
Great video... That looked like a lot of fun. Paramotor camping is definitely something I'd like to do. 👍 In return for all the paramotor knowledge you dish out in your videos I'm going to _try_ to repay you a little bit in campfire cooking knowledge... When cooking over a campfire you don't want to cook over the fire itself - you want to cook over the hot coals. Shift the wood around to give yourself clear access to the coals or move a pile of coals away from the fire itself. When you cook over coals you can get much more even heat which will result in less overcooked and undercooked food. Cooking over a the flame of a campfire creates too much flux in temperature and makes it incredibly hard to cook your food evenly. For the best results when cooking directly over a campfire you want to do it the same way you would when you grill over charcoal. Hopefully this simple tip might produce even better food from your next round of campfire cooking. 🍻
I camped out on Minisink Island some years back and had a black bear walk into the camp site in the wee hours of the night. He was growling and making a lot of noise, but luckily, I survived.
I finally did it! After years of following along i graduated from Aviator yesterday! I will now watch your videos from a slightly different perspective. What a nice landing and takeoff. I not quiet ready for the river launch yet haha
Add a few condiment squeeze packs to the cooler next time. A little mustard for the brats, or some Taco Bell Diablo sauce for the morning eggs, and they take almost no space while weighing next to nothing! Some camp cooking gear can be had very small and very light.
I could certainly get into cross country Paramotor camping! You will find everything is more rewarding on trips like you just did. Just the feeling of freedom to pick a spot remote and enjoy it...very cool hope to see more like this!
I love the break from your normal choice of music. The music you used in this video almost made it feel like I was watching a TV show in a way, and it fit the vibe
Gott is the GOAT. Seeing him live a life like this is 100% the most amazing thing - Especially because almost anyone can live this life! Thank you Tucker Gott for doing all this. I will be start my paramotor schooling this year because of videos like these!
Awesome video! Looks like a fun little dispersed camping excursion that would have been almost impossible to reach without a paramotor. One little safety tip for future trips: having extra space between your campfire, tent and paramotor never hurts, even if it seems highly unlikely anything bad would happen. Fires tend to suddenly let off huge floating cinders that travel several meters, and you wouldn't want your tent, precious paramotor gear, or the gas tank to be its landing spot. In your video, the fire seemed closer to all of your stuff than I would be comfortable with.
General rule of thumb when gathering fire wood. When you think you've gathered enough to get you through the night. Get 5 times more. This is really only important if you were going to camp for more than 1 night and if it is during a time of year that can get cold. Advise from the great Les Stroud. The real Survivorman (not me, obviously).
Kudos! Like Tom Hanks said with a throaty voice in Cast Away......"FIIIRE!!" You had your own little Cast Away moment there. Glad you did it, hope you enjoyed it.......video was great!
great camping set up dude. perfect fire prep, text book. as a regular at this stuff i'd advise you strip the bark off your cooking stick next with a knife, as some tree barks can leach toxins into your food while cooking. the biggest no no being willow.
I really like that people check on youll. It is completely conceivable that a person emergency landed on that island and may now be stuck or have to leave their gear to ford the waters. Really nice folks

amazing vid @tuckergott, only thing i'd say as a camper / survivalist: dont use driftwood for fire. it creates invisible toxic gas pockets in the wood that gets released when burning and can be very bad (even in freshwater). also, next time, use folliage as a mattress. you take branches and dig the big end in the ground and "weave" layers in each other. best bed ever.
Very cool little trip! Brats, beer, and an island to yourself, how much better can it get? Always always let someone know where you are headed. In case you have difficulties, ppl can come looking if you are overdue. Lots of places get poor cell reception.

@@ifitistobeitisuptome True, but getting a paramotor has been up high on my bucket list for a while now. Might be 20 years before I can get one, but I’ll make it happen one way or another.

I'd just pull off the trail back into the Forrest and camp. Heard bears rummaging around at night. It was an exciting adventure, maybe not as risky as flying, but still risky. Love your adventure!!
Best video I’ve seen yet. In your newest video you ask what people would like to see. I’d like to see more like this one. You can tell it makes you happy.
Loved the video get more comfortable with this then go even deeper way from everything where you can’t even hear cars driving complete solitude is amazing and life changing for some
Here's to getting out of your comfort zone. People are so much more capable than they believe. Adventures, experiences, or taking on intimidating tasks like working on your car.
I agree, very Ryan Southwell feel. His camping adventures, capturing the natural world is great. This video was great and may be the evolution of your flying.
Before I actually starting flying PPG, I had big plans to fly/camp out in remote spots that had no trail or road access. I’ve only been flying 3 years and can say that for me, no thanks. I’ve had enough botched launches to know that I want to be near a road if I biff it. It would be awesome to camp on top of some obscure mesa in the SW, but one stumble and you are gonna have a very bad day. Kudos to you Tucker for making it happen.
Love it. Thanks for posting. I made a similar trip to the mountains on my Maverick, wild camping. Watching yours on a rubbish windy weekend with nice coffee brings back all of the feelings. You did that. You made me do that. Watching your Icarus series made me train and go on adventures. Love you. Thank you. More please
Man, I'm so into camping and bushcraft type stuff, I watch all the videos. But this video is so original, never seen anything like this, so cool! You need to do this some more.

In my opinion I thought the fire was too close to the tent and your paramotor. One spark. I think tents are extremely flammable and your gas tank was right there, be safe.
very cool video. yes that was a deer snort and tracks. suggestion for future river island camp outs. be cautious about the upstream weather, if the river rises there too much, you could find yourself all wet with no place to go.
The next time make your fire feather from your tent. You get lucky this time!!!! 10 to 15 feet at least. One snap of the wind and one amber, goodbye wing or the tent. But I really did love this Video.

Love the shout-out to the premium IPAs. The IPA is a much underappreciated form of beer. It has its following, but everybody should be able to enjoy a nice IPA.
Thanks for taking us along on another EPIC adventure and for the reminder to be intentionally uncomfortable. A welcome nudge to be our better selves and enjoy this life to the fullest! 🤙
So, random question. I've noticed you haven't been flying the Scout Machine as much lately. Would you be willing to do a video comparing what you prefer about the Scout and the Parajet and which adventures would lead you to use one over the other? Tryna decide if I wanna upgrade my frame along with getting a beefier motor... Figured others might also be interested.
Comfort zones can become high security prisons. I recently busted out of mine when I realized that while I don’t have a lot of flying opportunities right now, there’s an iFly a half hour away! Body surfing the wind, flying without a wing, really fun experience. I highly recommend it. Thanks for posting this video.
This reminds me of your Ikarus race videos, which I still consider to be some of the best content you did. I have actually watched them multiple times and still enjoy them. Perhaps you want to re-enter the Ikarus and see how you get on with all the experience you have gained over the years.
Hi Tucker, That was a great video; very relaxing to do something like that. Before multiple head injuries, I went on camping / ultralight fly ins and camped for a week. I really miss that. Brots, and beer I'd be up all night with heart burn lol. Nice to be young... Take care, Be safe.
This was, in my opinion, one of your best videos yet. I've been a subscriber since 2016 and have since become a hangglider pilot. This is tapping into the; "If I could fly, I would..." dreamers. This is the ultimate inspiration for freeflight. Very well done. I hope to be able to do the same thing some day with a powered harness on my hangglider.
I've been subscribed for a few years and while I always enjoy your content you put out... I gotta say this one was one of my favorites. Thanks Tucker, I really do enjoy your videos.
Of all the videos you have done, this is by far my favorite. You can see the pure joy in the video, there is truly something magical in remote camping. I live and backpack in the Allegheny National Forest often. It is amazing everytime. I havent tried paracamping yet, but its on my dream list, maybe this summer or fall. I only have a yearish of flight experience. Great video, glad you had a blast! -Erik
Hi Tucker. Great trip to unhabitated Island. Jou must have felt like "Robinson Crusoe". Did you have enough to drink? Two cans of beer is little no water bottle. The river water might be risky to drink. But you survived,...... Till the next video. 😎
This was one of the best videos. A bit of survival, a bit of Icarus race. And some flying. It just was the perfect balance. Oh, and Fluctuation from Equilibrium is really an incredible IPA

Would you be willing to do a video comparing what you prefer about the Scout and the Parajet and which adventures would lead you to use one over the other? Tryna decide if I wanna upgrade my frame along with getting a beefier motor... Figured others might also be interested.
I really like these types of videos, Tucker. So Icarus-esque. ❤from 🇯🇲.
Hi Tucker,
That was a great video; very relaxing to do something like that. Before multiple head injuries, I went on camping / ultralight fly ins and camped for a week. I really miss that. Brots, and beer I'd be up all night with heart burn lol. Nice to be young...
Take care,
Be safe.
When everything can go wrong and didn't? Yeah, life's good.
Awesome adventure!!!
Thanks for taking us along.
Most Sincerely,
Ron😎
Awesome video Tucker! Do more adventure videos man. Beer and brats! Questionable landing are a given.
Loved this episode! The island, brats, beer and PPG... awesome!
Awesome trip and content. We need to work a little on your camp cooking skills. You got it done and shared the adventure. Thank you.
I've been subscribed for a few years and while I always enjoy your content you put out... I gotta say this one was one of my favorites. Thanks Tucker, I really do enjoy your videos.
Wow just wow ❤️ it's like my dream man, your are so lucky, wish I could but not possible i know,
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tucker, THAT was AWESOME... Thanks man...🍺👍
That was fantastic. I used to fish the Delaware river a lot. Haven't been in a really long time. I've never camped by myself, that was pretty good.
Series please! Different locales... different states. I'm here for it. Been watching you for years, this is some of the best content yet! Epic!
This was one of the best videos. A bit of survival, a bit of Icarus race. And some flying. It just was the perfect balance.
Oh, and Fluctuation from Equilibrium is really an incredible IPA
