10:50 just wanna mention here, in India almost all wildlife populations have seen growth, since the last time when wildlife population came to almost a brink during the colonial era, this includes big species such as Rhinos, elephants, Bisons(Gaur),Tigers, Lions, Leopards, snow leopards, clouded leopards and every single wildlife there is. The only failure points were decline in Vulture population since late 90s and also few other bird species such as Himalayan owls, great Indian bastards etc, but recently they too seem to have reached a stable point(not declining anymore), and the other one is Asiatic Cheetahs that went completely extinct during the colonial era, but over the last few years, different sub breeds of African Cheetahs are brought here under a special program to make them breed with each other and give rise to a indigenous breed again, so far, the results are mixed, but on the positive side, may be within next 2 decades, we will see the Cheetahs roaming in Indian forests again.
Isn't that cool! I currently live in a small village, in Kerala, India. I keep all the native weeds in my garden patch! It helps the local spp of lepidopterans thrive!! These native weeds also have medicinal uses. If anyone's reading this comment, pls try doing the same in your gardens too!

The eco-tourism option is very good to highlight, especially in understanding the why fisherman fish the fish they do, rather than pointing the blame finger all the time. Hope this trend catches on world-wide! Especially for manta-rays. There are certain villages that profit from manta ray fishing, and I wonder if they've switched to tourism or not. Hopefully!

Thanks for the good news :D. I’m participating in helping the climate by bringing a wetlands near me back to life. There’s lots of invasive species around and recent construction has driven some species out, as well as Ash borers have killed all the ash trees around, which were important in these woods. But I’ve been gathering some native plant seeds and have been growing trees to plant, as well as trying to prevent some four wheelers from destroying it. (It’s technically protected wetlands, but the town doesn’t care that ATV’s have been ripping up the trails and chasing animals away, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands.) Anyways, I’m excited for the spring, because then I’ll be able to continue saving the wetlands.

So much good news! While Australians seem to have dominated the round up this month, i wanted to mention a building material company id not known existed, who take straw and turn it into alternate plaster board or ceiling material. Its fire proof, has thermal properties and dampens sound. Not water proof though so requires good weather proofing. Theyve been around since the 70's and are called Durra Panel. Then other companies in the world are making concrete alternatives, rammed earth and straw bale constructed buildings, let alone myco bricks, coffee grounds, old clothes that cant be recycled. There are lots of fabulous news in the building sector that can help address a major cause of housing affordability, namely cost and access to construction materials. Yeah to all the out of the box thinkers in the world 🥳

Hi Sam. I stumbled across this video, this morning, and loved it! I don't watch the news at all, however, I've always said that if there was a channel that presented good news, I'd be watching with pleasure! I think I've found it... thank you! 🙏 Keep going! You have a beautiful energy! 😊 I'm from down under and was happy to see Australia in your video. This country does a lot of great work toward conservation, as well as pollution. We have an amazing bin collection here in S.A. 3 bins per household, all green but with different colored lids. Green lid for green waste, such as food scraps, pruning scraps etc., which gets composted by our council. We have yellow lid for recyclables, which is taken to a recyclables plant (building), to be sorted out, and the blue lid bin is for normal garbage, this one is much smaller, to encourage us to use the other two bins appropriately. I love A.U. 😊

(It’s technically protected wetlands, but the town doesn’t care that ATV’s have been ripping up the trails and chasing animals away, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands.) Anyways, I’m excited for the spring, because then I’ll be able to continue saving the wetlands.
so glad the algorithm recommended your channel. Been growing old and weary of general news which is so focus on conflict, negativity etc. Not saying it's not needed but it's nice to see som interesting positive news stories like this. thanks for this!

In Italy, the vogue industry Max Mara officially declared to stop using animal furs, thanks to the Anti-Vivisection League (LAV). Even if the question is more complicated, it's still one important step.
Thanks for sharing!
@itsSamBentley Thank you too.
Your content is very important and appreciated, nowadays more than ever!
Yeah to all the out of the box thinkers in the world 🥳
Your good news videos helped me through horrible times in my life :3
Thanks to you I have gathered enough internal strength to move out, and begin my life as it should be. And although I cannot yet at the moment I'm soon going to try to get into some voluntary work over in my area of Poland (The country I am from)

Hi Sam. I stumbled across this video, this morning, and loved it!
I don't watch the news at all, however, I've always said that if there was a channel that presented good news, I'd be watching with pleasure! I think I've found it... thank you! 🙏
Keep going! You have a beautiful energy! 😊
I'm from down under and was happy to see Australia in your video.
I love A.U. 😊
Those ocean accomplishments are incredible. It's great to see more marine sanctuaries being established and sharks having a win.
Yeahh there were quite a few so had to get a little quickfire section in there for them!
I suffer from anxiety and needed some positive vibes. I'm happy to report this did the trick! It makes me so happy to see people working to take care of our planet. It just goes to show you what we can accomplish if we work together for the good of our wonderful planet. Thanks for the positive vibes! You, sir, have a new subscriber!
