@@shelbythomas I completely agree, but why all caps? Were you just really enjoying using the term "false dichotomy", or perhaps stressing your point, or what? Making fun of Frost for the "or" typo? I ask only because posting and texting in all capital letters is considered yelling.
"Dial 911"???? Where was that the norm for an emergency in the mid 70s?! In my area at the time folks dialed operator or 744-4444 in the event of an emergency.
"Orbach sounded young and his performance was indistinguishable from other competent actors" reads like a contradiction especially when directly following criticism of the plot. Competent means capable or able to ably and correctly perform a task. You state that he sounds young followed by his performance was no different from competent actors. Did you mean you expected more than competent, as in, say, masterful? That's cool and the gang, just wondering.
@@michaelkottler - plot is different from acting - one can be wretched while the other can be astonishing - Orbach was as adequate as the other adequate actors - but no more (he did not stand out the way a star does) - he sounded young cuz he was young
@@susancates0213 - that radio show was done in 1975 - i believe Orbach was fairly well known on stage - tho he appeared a lot in movies and tv - but never achieved real prominence until Law & Order in the 90s

I think mid 70's was when 911 was introduced. I first became aware of it in 1974 in the Midwest.
Perhaps this was a CBSRMT episode airing in an area where 911 was in early introduction.
ok
disappointingly flimsy plot - Orbach sounded young and his performance was indistinguishable from other competent actors
