Love these stories. Reminds me of my childhood, listening to the radio. Love the drawings and paintings for each stories. Reminds me of "Night Gallery ". 😊😮😮
Good grief, I don't understand y'all. Why listen at all if you never find out, and don't care, how the story turns out? You could just as easily play a cheap and crappy show to go to sleep to instead of wasting quality radio dramas like these.
Hi Andrew I live in England and I've only just become interested in these podcasts I'm now in my 40s an i listen each night to chillyshine there great .
During the height of Glyn's fame/notoriety as a romance novelist, this little ditty was current. (I always recall it whenever her name is mentioned): "Would you like to sin with Elinor Glyn on a tiger skin? Or would you prefer to err with her On some other fur?"
Used to listen to these in the mid to late 60s , I'd take my portable am/fm radio outside around 10pm on Sunday nights sitting on a blanket on the front lawn because the signal wasn't strong enough to pick up inside the house... I think it was a Chicago station that I could only pick up late at night after a lot of other stations went off the air 🤔😆🤣 WOW good times
17 July 2024 (Wednesday) - Listening from my front porch in Central Kentucky on a cool summer morning. Coffee in hand, a red bird (cardinal) chirping, thunder singing in the sky.
a single $20 bill from the mid 1860s would be very valuable - however - based on my understanding - they were first printed in 1861 while the story was set in the 1850s - IIRC
2023 anyone still here?
