I did not attach them in any way, just dry stacked and in 15 years with 6 35 foot beds have never had any movement issues. You might skip it next time. Too much work in my opinion for no real problem being fixed.

The only advantage would be a bit less washout and drainage. As far as movement, I would agree that the concrete adhesive would have no effect.
