My TDS is sometimes 180 to 260.. it's mix of corporation and borewell/tanker. I have been checking tds for 2 weeks now. I am not sure whether to go for RO+TDS controller or just UV+UF.

Acceptable Limit for UV UF water purifier according to
Indian Standards is 500ppm
WHO: 300ppm
According to Water Purifier Brands (only Municipal Water): 200ppm
Now you have to choose, try to understand I can’t help you in this particular decision

I want to buy a water purifier. My supply borewell water TDS is around 420. Before watching your this program I had decided to purchase one NF-60 purifier. But, as leading water purifier companies are not manufacturing NF membrane purifiers, I was confused to buy one water purifier. You can get good quality RO purified water from both of the above water purifiers.
But, in my opinion, Pureit Copper+ is a better option in terms of Copper water.
Because pureit usages Copper Charge Technology, which is based on the electrochemical dissolution of copper in water.
Whereas all other brands use a cartridge-type copper filter with copper granules.

What is better mineralizer(pureit, Havells) or TDS controller(aquaguard, Kent) for TDS under 200, although it can be used without RO as well but taste of water is needed, so what do you recommend? How low a tds with mineralizer would work?

If Input water TDS = 200ppm
RO+ UV with Meranal Cartridge/Candle
Output Water TDS: From 30ppm to 50ppm ( depends on the mineral Cartridge)
RO+ UF+ UV TDS Controller
Output Water TDS: 20ppm to 200ppm ( you can adjust according to your preferences)
For TDS around 200ppm, I will Prefer RO+UF+UV+MTDS ( copper and alkaline are optional according to your Preference)

@@SumitYPF thanks, I have the same feeling, MTDS in our case is better than mineral catridge which will bring down the TDS to 30-40 limit. Now I don't know how bad that is when it also has minerals due to mineral cartridge and if it has alkaline filter as well that will add to pH levels as well.
So, I am pretty confused to buy TDS controller, since in our case(input - 135 tds) I would have to by pass to get all essential minerals and pass it only through uv+uf and if I turn on TDS control fully, I would not get any minerals which are needed.
In case of mineralizer, the only drawback is low tds.
Please help regarding this and I would choose from links as well. 🙂
