I believe this is one of the most important parts of any great warriors practice. It has become so over looked in today's society. I believe your one of greats, and overlooked. I really hope your channel blows up, because you deserve it. You are so knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing with us.

Great message for the modern Martial Artist or the lack of. Martial arts is suppose to be a pursuit of greatness, and self-mastery. Instead, you have so many instructors that teach students the most important thing is to get that next trophy, or that next belt. I greatly respect your videos, and your overall outlook. These are ancient teaching for a modern day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and passion.

So true. The old ways of Filipino Martial Arts has a healing and spiritual component. The old masters do not teach it to those who do not seek it. I am Filipino from Southern Mindanao and I was lucky enough to have learned it from my grand uncle who is an Eskrimador. And sad to say that most Eskrima that can be seen on youtube is almost very different from the old ways. I also had the opportunity to be exposed in Kuntaw of the Maguindanao tribe thru "Master Akil"; even their martial arts has a spiritual and healing component like Eskrima.

Yes, I was very lucky to be taught the old spiritual ways in the Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, African and Native American. Under wonderful Masters. I showed interest, respected, and non bias knowledge. Non-colonial, pre-catholic, Indigenous ways. Thank you for sharing. We are like minded.

Thank you! I have lost 118 pounds in 7 months on purpose. I was having serious health problems before, and down a bad road. Fixed it, and now on a healthy path. You have to fight for your health. Qi Gong, Tai chi energy work, and meditation were key. A lot of mind, body, and spirit work.
