    I like that it is relatively quiet for how much air it moves. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxmj9RYGCX25BElHkuWjHec-2_muyUGyCm Was easy to put together. Note: The spindle cap is threaded backwards to keep it from spinning off during use, so remember to turn it the "other way". I also like that the lights, which are quite bright, turn off after a few moments so they do not bother me at night. The remote has to be aimed just right, but does work.

      @@kimber120306 i had the same thought i wanted to get a good fan for sleep, are you able to sleep with this on in your room? and if so is it possible or overkill to do on high? Im thinking my ears would be ringing or wind is to strong, im trying to replace my small 18 inch high velocity floor fan for higher quality and more efficient one.

      @dylanmarmino I had the fan, but after realizing how hot the motor got, I decided to return it. It kinda freaked me out just how hot it actually got, and my mind started wondering so back it went . I didn't really mind it, but just know that this fan is pretty big. Lol, but it was great the short time I had it .
      It blocks out other noise, so it was plenty loud but not an unpleasant loud.
      I did get another standing black fan by Lasko, which is pretty great. It is bigger than most standing fans, but that's what I had to get in order to have the noise and the wind quality that I wanted.. It doesn't get hot like the other one did either.

    Agree...Excellent unboxing video! I really like your "fast forward" feature to give an idea of what a person has to go through to put something like this product together. Excellent camera angles and video sound. Your voice was very clear and understandable even within your garage! I also really enjoyed your evaluation of the fan as you used it. Nothing like giving an honest opinion of product performance. As others have commented, could you make a video of your fan after 1-year of use? I would bet you could get an Harbor Freight endorsement :)

  • @notnice3721
    @notnice3721 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I purchased one (through Wayfair) but ended up with two (one to replace the other). But, part of the issue is that I don't understand how that one little bolt that's suppose to hold the fan blade to the motor's fan post keeps it securely fastened. The first time I was setting it up and turned it on to test it, the fan blade wiggled it's way off of the fan's motor post (and I was injured enough to warrant going to the emergency room). So, what is it you did to the fan's motor post at marker 3:44? It looks like you quickly screwed something on it? Mine doesn't have any holes or bore marks to let me know where the fan's bolt can be screwed into.

    • @kramnull8962
      @kramnull8962 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The motor shaft has a flat area on one side. I wish the hole for the shaft in the blade unit was actually D shape. That would make it more secure from vibrating loose.
      That and the fact they put phillips head on the hex head nut. They are insinuating that anyone can get it tight enough with a phillips screwdriver; Which we know is false.
      The bolt is 12mm and I used a ratchet with a 3 inch extension to tighten it up.

    Suggestion - Put up some R5 or R7 reflective insulation on the garage door panels. For $80. Once I put it in, I found that my garage never gets over 90 in Las Vegas and the outside temp has been up to 105 so far this year.... we'll see how it works when it is 125.

    • @BsBucWiLD
      @BsBucWiLD ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@taililly2483 If I remember correctly, both sides had the same reflective shine, but if you have one sided, you put the shinny part facing out - it actually reflects heat waves away from the part that you want to insulate. By the way, I am a novice too... I just happened to read what the reflective stuff does and why it should face out lol.

Does your motors on this fan run hot ? If they do how long have your fans lasted ? I want to be sure i dont have a motor thats a dud and craps out on me after warrenty is over. I had something typed but it disappeared but basically what I was saying is that they should make them variable speed so the buyer or owner can run it at this speed and faster or at 100 something rpm and another thought is that you or they could make them with a deep or deeper pitch or a deep pitch to where want fit in side the cage and get a deeper cage or safety guard

    I've had mine for 1 year. We use it on the back porch. four concerns:
    1.) the motor seems to get extremely hot.
    2.) I twisted the blades very slightly to get more forward bite to air flow
    3.) though it sounds like the motor is spinning faster I really don't notice that much increase in air flow
    4.) the blade loosened on the shaft and had to be tightened one time.

      @@dirtrider6090 did u have anymore issues with the blade coming undone after u tighten it? Mine was pretty tight the first time and still came off. I'm debating on taking it back because I didn't pay $160 to have to always be worrying about the blade coming off.

    You expect a fan to run 1 year? That's a shitty fan. It's blades attach to a motor. Quality stuff should run lifespan of the motor which should be a lot longer.
