This inverter has been running my whole house for the past month and I can say it's quite amazing. I do have their 18000 watt inverter on order but frankly the 6000 watt has been covering our Baseline Necessities very nicely.
That is good to know! I have only used it to charge a few power stations and run the internet and tv when the power is out. But I can see that it would manage to run most of a house.
@@LandtoHouse so far I'm amazed that this little inverter can run everything and does a better job than our 13kW generator. Maintains the voltage and frequency whether it's just a few lights or the electric clothes dryer is on. We power two air conditioners, a recording studio, a shop full of electronic test equipment, plus all of the lighting, deep well pump (86 amp start current), furnace, water heater, etc. plus a lot of computers. Most of the time, the fan doesn't even come on. The only thing is if you are a shortwave listener, you'll need to buy a lot of clamp on RF ferrite chokes to suppress the RFI hash this inverter puts out. When I first installed it, the hash was so bad, I could not hear even a strong local HAM operator on my radio on 75 meters. Now, with twenty suppression ferrites and capacitors across the output AC lines and a good earth ground, I can listen to most SW bands with moderate and even no electrical noise in some portions of the spectrum. Important to mitigate this, else your HAM neighbor will soon be knocking on your door. :)
Seems pretty cool -- not overly fancy, but has the necessary bells and whistles. I like the wired remote for turning it off/on without having to go outside or mess with a phone app! I'd love to see you wire this up 240v to the home and use it for some of the larger appliances -- that seems to be a place many don't test or show with these... given my math is right that it should run at least 25 amps at 240v and 50 amps at 120v? Consider me GLUED TO THIS CONTENT! :)
Someone has been doing a lot of research.... ha. I might get to run some of the more intense applications in the home. To be honest I mostly want a power down option to run the fridge and tv/internet. A bit overkill but nice to know I could run a lot more.
That's what I told you I had used, although a different brand. Looks good. My unit does not charge from solar only from the grid or a generator. That is, it does not contain a charge controller, just an inverter/charger. I looked into a "three in one" inverter/charge controller/charge controller, but it was to much for my budget.
This one is the same way. I dont think that it works from solar. Just the grid and generator. I will probably only use it with my solar and hydro. But an auto gen start would be nice.
Yep that unit is awesome. I have 2 hooked up from same battery bank serving 2 remote sites on same property. Generator auto start/stop is wonderful. The ones i have are 12v split phace 120/230 charger/inverter. Watch your wire sizing. Enjoy.
Been using a 24v 5000w unit for 11 years, there not the most efficient at 88% so i only use it on days with full sun however it's crazy that it runs the welder 170a and big machining tools
No one shows the charger side of these. How did you hook up to AC? What size outlet should I use? 15 amp? 20 amp? 30 amp? How did you wire the AC in? Any info would be great. Super curious, not a lot of info. Thanks!
Thanks for putting this video up, that is an impressive bit of hardware, I'm jealous. Your pig-tail receptacle uses Black for Neutral and Red for Hot1, I keep expecting to see smoke, LOL. Please Please, on the AC side White is for Neutral, Black and Red are for hot. There will be a day when you have some help with a project, or have to call in a 'professional' for assistance, and this will save a LOT of headaches, confusion and time.

Great video! I set up my photovoltaic system with an inverter equal to yours but 3000w. One question: does the inverter convert itself to "battery mode" when charged or does it have to be done manually? I listened to your video but I'm Italian and I didn't know how to translate a few words :)
I wonder if this invertor could power an air condition unit🤔 that would be interesting if possible, but I know basic appliances would work well, tvs, lights, fans right?
This is pretty cool. This would thoerectcally run my essentials (freezer, climate control, etc.) during a power outage. I'd be interested to see how long batts would last with a particular load and what battery config you use. You solar experiments would be very interesting as well. Looking forward to more info.

It recently started to turn itself off after being on for about 15 seconds. Upon turning it to the off position and restarting it, it again continues to shut itself off within a minute. The LED readout is scrambled and unrecognizable. Any thought on what is causing this to occur?

They now send out an LCD Remote Panel with the newer models, its very useful. Thanks again!
