Not college as a whole.

      It's cope trying to defend a dying system. Over the past year, about one College closes down a week. Maybe you chose a valuable degree and when you went to college some time ago and it was actually worth it. Good for you, you and your family worked hard. The investment you put in was worth it. Nowadays, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. The government should've never have taken on the student loans. And Marxist propaganda being taught in classrooms doesn't help.

    Says the person with a college degree...In my life, I've never met anyone that I would consider intelligent without a college degree, or at least "some college". Everyone else just pretends to be intelligent.

    • @twoguns5826
      @twoguns5826 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I kinda disagree with this whole statement. Intelligence isn't measured by what college degree you have and people who don't go to college aren't dumb. It's a matter of choice you can make it without one or with one.
      The same person without a degree can make just as much with one.
      I see so many college graduates sad and depressed because they put so much time in just to have to get a job outside there field because no one will hire them.
      If you only consider people with a college degree intelligent then maybe you aren't intelligent. No offense.

    • @josercarcamo
      @josercarcamo หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@twoguns5826 Ok, first, I'm not talking about income. Secondly, I'm talking about being able to carry a logical, educated conversation. Let's test your intelligence: Do you know what a proof by contradiction is? (Feel free to Google.)

    • @twoguns5826
      @twoguns5826 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah well then you still don't need college to have an intellectually educated conversation. You could read books or self learn if you're disciplined enough. Didn't realize I needed to go back to logic class to have an logical intelligent conversation.
      Like if you're an electrician most of your conversations sound logical and smart to anyone who's not an electrician. Same with doctors etc.
      Btw answering that question only tests an aspect of intelligence that's all. There's different levels to it. Some are better at math, history, logical analytics, etc so if I didn't know what that was does that mean I'm not intelligent based on your question?
      I'm sick of college graduates thinking there better just because they can say simple things In an "educated format". It's like some of them feel above the rest of society and it's just ridiculous.
      So what? I'm a college student (trade school) and I don't see myself as better than anyone or smarter just because I'm taking advanced stuff. My question is how do you act? Are you a good person or an asshole (Not directly asking you) I'd take a good person who can't have an Intelligent conversation over an asshole who can.
      See I believe higher education is important but I don't believe you need it to be logical and form some type of intelligent conversation.
      If you have common sense (which isn't so common) one could be logical enough to hold the conversation.

  • @Cant_find_good_Handle
    @Cant_find_good_Handle 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I get what he is trying to say. His solution to the education bubble is to start a business, or invest into the housing bubble.
    The solution to disrupt education would be a education business that rents out cheap empty office buildings. A we work style study hall environment and test center would be used for studying and exams. The only majors would be harder useful degrees like engineering, computer science, finance, biology with pre med, ect.
    The curriculum would be based on lectures from open source material like MIT free online lectures. And 1 or 2 PHD’s in each subject would be hired to help with group projects and tutoring. There office would be attached to a bigger room with the study carols or computer lab.
    The point being is that most people need a structured environment to learn a useful degree. That is why university of phoenix degrees are all easy majors.
    So the business would leverage curriculum that is free on the internet already, but provide a structured physical study environment and credentialing process. Far less personnel would need to be hired as professors because they would basically just be doing office hour work next to the study carols of there students. They would not be doing lectures or research.
    I think then you could get college back down to a price where it would be worth it. The major problem would be traditional universities using there power to prevent any sort of credentials, certifications, or clout to be created.

    That's a very agressive interviewer. There are times when each one is talking about two different points. Grant talks about debt and the interviewer attacks talking about job oportunities. This interviewer only thinks about killing the oponent. it's impossible to reach an agreement or a conclusion with that kind of people. If that was the kind of education he recieved in college, he wasted his money and his time.
    Even in third world countries you see taxi drivers, restaurant owners, etc. who have college degrees. In some european and asian countries you need to be a really good student to be able to go to college. Even so, they find it very difficult to guarantee that the majority will obtain decent jobs in their respective careers.
    The problem of student debt in the US is a big one. A lot of people should not consider going to college. Depends on each particular situation.
