I just wanna say that LVN-RN is easy compared to the initial LVN lol. The critical care components can be kinda different but overall, it's the same schooling. What kept me motivated was looking at the pay difference and knowing that even more opportunities would be available to me. I'm looking forward to seeing you with your new letters!

If you didn't do LVN first do you think RN would still be easier?

@@jaymorgan. RN school was challenging in ways that were different from my LVN program. The material wasn’t difficult but there was a lot of busy work to keep up with. Also, I did a LVN to BSN program so we had a lot of papers to write and classes like “leadership and management” that probably wouldn’t be required in an ASN program.

@@jaymorgan. If you don’t have experience, RN school is extremely difficult. It’s nothing to play with or take lightly lol.

@@KleanAsmr I've been advised by everyone around me to pursue the RN route instead of LPN because of the higher pay and the belief that RN programs are "easier." The grading scale for RN programs is more lenient, with passing grades between 70-78%, and classes typically require attendance only a few hours a day, 2-3 days a week. On the other hand, LPN programs demand attendance 5 days a week, 7-8 hours a day, with a minimum passing grade of 80% (B) and it’s accelerated. LPN route is more appealing because it’s quicker and easier to get accepted. No wait list..etc. I’m just curious academic wise. Thanks for replying.

@@jaymorgan. No problem. Both are definitely challenging! Good luck! Whatever you end up choosing will be the best choice for you.
