- My journey playing the guitar for one year! I am 28 years old and took lessons and committed to approximately 1.5 hours of practice per day. Special thanks to my teacher Jon Chorba, helping me in immeasurable ways. I also am a huge fan of Andy Paoli's TH-cam channel, and he is the inspiration for a lot of what I learned.
Very very good Very Very GOOOD
Many many thanks
So proud of you Jack!!! Amazing progress! Can't wait to see where you are a year from now! Grateful to be a footnote if your story. 🙏
nice man ! sounds good !
Thanks!
Just started playing myself, all I can say is amazing progress! You've inspired me, keep rockin!
Thank you very much! I’ve been working hard!!!
I just started playing guitar a week ago. I hope I'll improve as much as you have. You've really inspired me to keep going.
Amazing progress Great job!!!!
Thank you!!
Also being able to play and sing with difficult rhythms within a few months is insane. I don’t think I attempted it until my 3rd year
Great job! Keep it up!
Great job, Jack. If everyone would focus on just improving 1% each day…you’ve shown us what can be done! Although, I think you improved a lot more than 1% a day! 😂
Thanks for sharing!
this is sick! you have really good vibrato for somebody whose only been playing a yar
Thank you so much!
Hot damn dude! So much work and amazing progress!
That's pretty good man.
After 30 some years, I still play worse than your first night with your guitar.
LOL
How many LPs did you buy in a year? 550? =) great progress in a really short space of time bud.
Thank you very much! Worked hard!
Where’s the update
5:30 What's the name of that guitar? She's a beaut
Thanks! It’s a PRS Silver Sky SE in moon white. I’ve always liked the white / cream colored strats.
You must play another instrument because unless you practiced 5 hours a day… learning an instrument after know how to play another makes it alot easier in which case i’d believe
Yep! I’ve played the piano for a long time which definitely has helped me!
Hey man , not sure how I stumbled upon this video but its seeing your passion for the guitar that's making me want to get out of my plateau. phenomenal progress , what was your music experience prior to the guitar?
Thank you very much! So I have background with the piano, which I found helped me tremendously with theory and chords.
@@Captain-Jackdo you recommend I learn music theory? I just started guitar
@@isaacarl0s I do recommend you learn some music theory. For me, it has made playing more fun because I’m able to improvise and understand why things sound a certain way
How many hours do you practice a day?
I practice about 1 -1.5 hours a day!
@@Captain-Jack nice, that’s how long I practice as well.
Bro HOW ? Are you learning by tabs or what?
So I learned a lot from my blues guitar teacher and Andy Paoli’s blues guitar club. Essentially I worked super hard and practiced almost every day! The key is finding a good teacher.
@@Captain-Jack yeah so I'm basically screwed lol thanks man
@@badboybootz8 don’t look at it that way. There are a LOT of guitarist who are self taught, never had a lesson in their life. TH-cam is your best friend. Google is your best friend. You can literally learn anything from the internet. You just need to practice and be disciplined about it. Also, everyone’s learning process is different. Take 10 mins everyday to practice your weakness. You’ll get there if u really want.
@@n.7518 yeah i play everyday by watching youtube. But my issue is I dont know what to be practicing or what order i should be learning stuff in
There’s no order imo, just continue to challenge yourself
I really want to learn guitar and now i'm 20, am i too late and too old to learn guitar?
Never too late! That’s a great age to learn. I’m 28 years old and just started
@@Captain-Jack Ah ok, thank you 👍
I’m 51 and learn something new every time I pick it up . Great hobby . Can’t imagine my life without it .
I’m 70 and just thinking about starting to learn 👍
