This looks great! I love Blender and have used it professionally for years, but sketchup is the go-to for most of the teams I work with in-house, so I often times have to play ball and model in SU as well. Oh what I would give for the keyboard shortcut based navigation and modelling, in sketchup! click, g, z, 15, tab, 1, lasso verts, set 3d cursor trans, r, 45, enter, e, 25. I miss it every time
@Thesketchupessentials I work as high-end resi & hotel interior designer. And I often need to create custom bouquet or centrepiece out of various bunchs of flowers (like florist) With this plugin, I can rotate each with its local axis so easily. Simply put, editing (scale & rotate) each blossom with stem will be very easy
Is there anything that will allow a rotate by 45' or 90' with a keyboard click instead of manually dragging the rotation circle? That would be a timesaver...
Because it is made by Fredo (based on the idea of Rich Obrien), and thus its location is in the tools tab, under Fredo s extensions, but as with every Fredo extension, you can move it wherever you want from its preferences.
Interesting - I tested it on a 31 MB model and there was a little pause if I tried to move the whole model, but nothing like what you're describing. How big is a "large model"?
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about AXYZ in the comments below! :)
I’ve been waiting for this for a long time😊

Lol - I've used enough Blender to know exactly what that means, but I'm not sure how I like it in a CAD workflow like this.
it´s pretty powerful, I was really missing it coming from blender
Well here it is! :)
This will be so helpful for me to create a bunch of custom flower deco!!!
Interesting - is there something this tool offers that will work well for that application?

Wow. I have started using this. It is brilliant. Why doesn’t Trimble create functionality as good as this as part of the core product?

just use the rotate handles with the move tool
@@___.___.___.___.___.___.___ I do but that is slow.
why it wont show in extension tab / plugin tools after i installed it

How to move up and down in the Z direction?
Drag the blue arrow
I must be missing something. This does absolutely nothing you can't do easily anyway.
Lots of other 3D programs have a 3D widget like this, so if you're used to that, or if you need to easily lock to the blue or red plane or whatever
On large models it takes an excruciatingly long time to activate the tool. Sounds good on paper, though...

180 mb. That's what I'm currently working on.
look like D5 Model
It is similar to the gadget in D5 for sure
😊
