The last episode of S2 could've been an entire new season, feels rushed and an open ended ending, but it is what it is. Definitely prefer for this show to exist to not exist

Problem was that creators were afraid Amazon would cancel the show like AMC did, they had assurance only for one season. So they compressed 2 plot lines into one season. Still, shame they didnt go for a 10 episode season, instead of 8. 2 more episodes would've allowed them to flesh out story and have more fulfilling ending. In its current state it is very abrupt.
its AMC, they gave a chance to complete season 2 i know its rushed but the animators knew they were going to get cancelled its not bad a show its really good show but for smart people to understand and i wish to continue season 3 with great twist but unfortunately it got scrapped but they kept the original ending script as maddie becomes god and the surfnet too

There, as thanks, they gave Maddie an in incentive to create her own simulation, so that both she and Caspian could join in their intergalactic simulated universe with all other species who did the same.

it's one of those show that upon finishing it you want more of it.
