hey kenny, i like the idea of monitoring the hawks situation and maybe doing a sign-and-trade in the offseason with someone like dinwiddie, picks, and one of the young guys for trae young. bridges and clax should be untouchable. i think the trio of trae, mikal, and clax along w role players like cam johnson could make some noise. monitor the offensive and defensive ratings too and trade for players accordingly. good ass series pls keep it up!
If you can make sort of even swaps/side-grades for specific things you need off the bench to fight for a play-in spot, that'd be good. But I definitely think the slow approach and building through youth and draft capital is the best move. Get into the position where you're a star away from being really good before you spend for a star [unless one organically falls to you].
You should definitely start making moves, your season reminds me of the Lakers season early on when the front office said they are going to wait till November to make moves and now they are fighting for a play in spot. Loving the series by the way!
SUGGESTION: I think Khris Middleton would be a great pickup for the team he would be a great second option and is well rounded if the bucks need a pg I'd try Dinwiddie and mabye cam Johnson for Middleton and a pick. You can use the pick for a temporary point guard or even a backup or you could play Jett Howard at the one even though it isn't his correct position he would develop a lot faster.
Kenny, to sign high rated free agents for minimums like the CPU does you have to set Free Agent Signings to Auto under Automation. The game doesn’t let you sign them manually but if you do this you’ll automatically get one of the top free agents for the minimum. It’s been like this for the last few 2ks for some reason.
i think around the deadline you should make some trades for the cpu teams that clearly need to blow it up. probably a hot take but i think it would help the realism of the series greatly. This also might be going way to far but occasionally when a stars moral is extremely low you go to social media and sometimes it says they requested a trade. you could trade some of these guys off other teams to make more movement
Loving the series, I had faith!! I enjoyed the kings series this is that plus experience! A move with Dinwiddie is a good idea, he's a good asset to the squad but I think a trade with him to the wolves is a good move as someone else said but I think a spark plug for the teams now is better than draft capital. The good guys are in big need of scoring outside of BB, whether that's a growth from CT or a trade piece from a western team

His defense is very mediocre but that’s why I insist on getting Patrick Beverly (number 4), if you make a move for Morris. Monte is relatively quick, making it easy for him to recover to his man on defense, cut to the basket, slash, etc. A good pick and roll with him and a big man opens up many options on offense. If there's an opening off the screen, he can quickly make it to the basket and get the easy layup, if the defender goes under and saggs off a bit, you can pull up for the 2 or 3 (90 close shot, 90 mid range, 83 three). Morris possesses a great playmaking ability so when help defense comes, you can kick it out to the open man and he’ll deliver a good pass. This team has a lot of shooters, and perfecting the pick and roll would essentially maximize their potential. 3. Beverly and Morris paired up, one subbing in another on the dependent situation would work quite well. Beverly’s defense is incredible and his veteran presence on the young Nets team synchronizes together flawlessly.

I like his shot as well in 2k. I also feel like OG would be a nice edition if you want to go all in on defense. Then you put an offensive juggernaut like Trae young on the team that’s look nice. Doesn’t have to be this season but you’d have Young, Bridges, OG, Issac, and Clayton starting.

Keep dinwiddie if not too expensive. Perfect backup guard in a 9 man playoff rotation…if you stagger your starting guards minutes, spence can run the backup 1 and 2, even the 3 sometimes
You should adjust tendencies for simulation. Cam Johnson has a torch from 3 but didn’t get a lot of touches in sim. Each player especially the traded players are how they were in previous situations. With this being your team you gotta make sure the players are hitting your scheme in sim
